    The CO2 scrubber does work but the only problem I have with it is that the media doesn't last long and can be quite expensive over time.

    • @reefrookies
      @reefrookies  9 месяцев назад

      That is true. I figure it'll be a monthly or bimonthly recurring cost. Thanks for watching!

    What at your thoughts on a recirculating co2 scrubber affecting oxygen levels in tank?

    • @reefrookies
      @reefrookies  17 дней назад

      MOST of the tanks oxygenation comes from gas exchange at the surface. So long as surface aggitation is sufficient youre good.

    As a side question- Do you have a video on your backlighting of your aquarium. Looks good.

      I dont, but Its literally just some of those cheap stick on LED strip lights from Amazon and I stuck them to the tank so they shine on the wall. Thats it. Amazon Affiliate link here: amzn.to/4dGKTFE

      Some people dont have a need as thier pH is in range and stable. Mine definitely wasn't. Its all about making it work for our specific situations for sure.

    I have an aquamaxx 1.5 hob skimmer. Is this skimmer powerful enough to attach one of these c02 scrubbers to it ? My ph is literally always at 7.6 😢 please give me some advice 🙏

    • @reefrookies
      @reefrookies  Месяц назад +1

      Yes. CO2 scrubbers can be attached to any skimmer as long as it has an airline. I have no doubt a scrubber will help.

      All CO2 scrubbers simply connect to the skimmers air intake hose. You could get the small version linked below (amazon affiliate I make a small commission :) You may need a barb fitting to make it work.

      I was looking into that same skimmer, if you figure it out let me know? The only thing I have figured out ( by looking at photos of that particular skimmer) is that it won't work. I feel defeated and am drawing the conclusion that I may have to by a more expensive skimmer to have a co2 scrubber for my tank

      @reefrookies  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@bassin-with-brandonoutdoor612 I think that skimmer has a barb sticking out the side of the intake where the air comes in. All yall would have to do is connect the skimmer hose to that barb if its the air intake.

    Hey buddy got a 911 I put 21 drops of phosphate rx in my tank! My tang now is having trouble breathing …I took out 17 gallons and put 8 new gallons back in and put all 5 of my wavemakers on top of water and put some new charcoal in.skimmer is running too plus I hav about 400 gallons per hour on return pump need some help buddy any ideas. I will never use that again. My tang is only 4 months old with me and 2 months with biota. Before this he was fine and happy all day and month! Need help with any ideas from you or anyone out there

    • @reefrookies
      @reefrookies  8 месяцев назад

      Phosphate RX is lanthinum chloride, a phosphate flocculant. Do a large waterchange again to dilute the product in the total volume! Its literally choking your fish down. This stuff has to be used with much caution.
