what happens in a power cut ?
The water in the U tube will remain as both ends are submerged in a reservoir. It will restart when the power resumes. Example, when I feed the fish I turn off all filters to keep food from being swept away, then restart when they are finished, no problems.

Hi saw this video and looks like it could save me a lot. Just wanted to know would the dosage be same as the NoPox RedSea?
Yes, about the same, it depends on your bio load, mine works out to about 2 ml per 10 gallons of water.
Wow, I was wondering about the same thing and youtube randomly suggests your video. What a coincidence. And thank you so much, your video helped a lot. It's crazy how simple it is. But to come up with it on your own is a different story.
You're welcome and thanks for watching.
Lol, that was simple. Thank you for the video, realizing the true meaning behind these properties always helps to have a much more solid understanding of math. Btw, good luck studying Relativity Theory, you are not the only one dealing with it. Cheers!

Yup I use to run the extension on both my 110s just so I could leave them running when doing big water changes

lol i tossed mine in the trash where it should be :<{} any little thing gets in the pump it stops working and overflows the tank in 12 sec nice ask me how i know ... yea had to convince the wife it was a one time thing lmao
i still use these when i stur up my 150g reef tank takes out the dusty looking water fast for cheaper then a water change would be :<{}
Fwi the bubbles don't matter. If air is getting trapped you need more flow or a smaller size u pipe and yours here has to much flow the inside trap is at the top it should be in the middle an inch or so from the bottom of the u pipe. hope that helps
Can you put filter media like filter pad on this all in one ? On your review you talk about the protein skimmer part but I’ve not found a video where you show what kind of media you have inside

@@lkapitan8232 Hi. I'm still running anywhere between 10 and 50 percent. Most of the time on the lower end. The worst part is sometimes, like last night, I am eating something that I know should taste incredible, but I just can't get past being barely able to discern what it is.

that sicce voyager 270gph was too big in any direction in my 14gallon, even directed right at the glass it blew my candy canes off their body. would you recommend this for something like a 5.5gallong tank or is it too much?
On the bottom part there is an adjustable slide that will reduce the flow, but for a tank as small as 5.5 gallon I do not know.
Rainbow nerd here. A lot of the rainbowfish you’ll see in chain stores are sold as Melanotaenia Fluviatilis, or the name Australian Rainbow. The species that you see are actually Melanotaenia Splendida like you said. A true M. Fluviatilis is actually an incredibly uncommon fish in the US though they are common in Australia. That being said, the genetic lineage of M. Splendida has split into several different species. Different subspecies of M. Splendida can be so incredibly different that they don’t even share the species name splendida. For example M. Rubrostriata was a splendida subspecies until there were enough genetic differences to deem it a different fish entirely. Just a really fascinating difference in lineages over time
Thanks for the info that is interesting
Would you harken to know the name of that black piece on the fuel tank itself next to the gas cap? I assumed it was called a fuel pressure regulator but can’t find the right terminology to find that part

Sand is easier. You don't need to "clean" it. Just swirl vacuum tube above it and vacuum the debris. Stir it up once in a while to keep algae from growing on top layer. Easy peasy. My pool filter sand is always a creamy white.
same problem here!
You just need to raise the filter higher on the tank a simple adjustment and it will skim
Will it lower the pH? Is it safe for dwarf shrimps?
@@poquito808 you only add about 2 ml per 10 gallons of water, such a small amount has no effect on pH. As for shrimp, I have none so cannot day.
I wonder what’s inside those pads that makes it absorb nitrates? The manufacturer does not say anything about it. Is there a special solution?
I'm hoping you can help me. I took the skimmer, etc apart to clean it. Now I can't figure how the heck the little grey ring with the screw goes back in the skimmer. Now I have no bubbles in tge ski mer and the directions included are awful! Thanks in advance and ❤ your videos
It is shown in this video, ruclips.net/video/lzdGwv7Q32o/видео.html, starting at about 2:00 time stamp. The throat of the pump fits through the black plate and the gray ring fits over the pump throat to hold it in place.

I had a question, do i put water inside the area of the pump?
Yes, you must fill the chamber containing the pump, then put the air line from the pump under water then turn the pump on. Once the water is flowing remove the air line to start the skimmer bubbles
Nothing beats the Milwaukee refractometer, my buddy runs a big shop and thats what he uses!
How do you like this unit? Does it do a good job filtering? How big is your tank?
For a small tank like mine, 20 gallons, it does a great job filtering.

Surely contravariant vectors and covariant ones live in different vector spaces? That is, if the vector space containing the contravariant vectors is V, then the covariant vectors live in the dual space V*: they are really linear maps taking the vectors in V to the underlying field of scalars. There is symmetry because the dual space V** of the dual space V* is isomorphic (in a canonical way not depending on a choice of basis) to the original space V, so that V may be naturally considered the dual space of V* as well as V* being the dual space of V. But there is no such canonical isomorphism between V and V*. The upshot is that you cannot equate a vector in the original space with a vector in the dual space as you do at 2.20.
I've always wondered: If V is finite-dimensional with a basis B, why isn't the isomorphism to V* with a basis B* (such that b*_i(b_j) = δ_ij) considered canonical?
@@APaleDot Just because canonical *means* independent of a choice of basis. eg consider V = R² over the scalar field R. One basis is e_1 = (1,0), e_2 = (0,1), and then V*, the space of linear maps from V to R, has the dual basis E_1, E_2 defined by E_i(e_j) = δ_ij exactly as you say. And then K: e_i -> E_i is an isomorphism between V and V*, but not a canonical one. For example we can define another basis (f_i) for V by f_1 = (1,1), f_2 = (-1,1). Then eg f_1 = e_1 + e_2 while e_1 = 0.5f_1 - 0.5f_2. The new dual basis in V* corresponding to the f_i in V will be F_i defined by F_i(f_j) = δ_ij and this induces another isomorphism between V and V*, namely that given by L:f_i -> F_i. These isomorphisms (K and L) are not the same. Notice for example that the latter isomorphism L maps eg e_1 (= 0.5f_1 - 0.5f_2) to 0.5F_1 - 0.5F_2 (by linearity), and (again using linearity) this linear map (from V to R) maps e_1 to 0.5F_1(e_1) - 0.5F_2(e_1) = 0.5F_1(0.5f_1 - 0.5f_2) - 0.5F_2(0.5f_1 - 0.5f_2) = 0.25δ_11 - 0.25δ_12 - 0.25δ_21 + 0.25δ_22 = 0.25 + 0.25 = 0.5 and similarly maps e_2 to 0.5F_1(e_2) - 0.5F_2(e_2) = 0.5F_1(0.5f_1 + 0.5f_2) - 0.5F_2(0.5f_1 + 0.5f_2) = 0.25δ_11 + 0.25δ_12 - 0.25δ_21 - 0.25δ_22 = 0.25 - 0.25 = 0 In other words, while K(e_1) = E_1, L(e_1) = 0.5E_1 so the two isomorphisms K and L from V to V* are certainly not the same. All this illustrates that the basis we choose for V determines the induced isomorphism mapping V to V*.

I bet you can taste it, sour cherries on sweet stuff, lots of flavor, try it.
I´ve kept 10 chromis in a 500 liter tank for more than 5 years now. I even added 2 more a couple of months ago without any problems. I strongly believe that an aquascape with lots of possibilities to hide increases the chance to keep a healthy, less aggressive school. I also believe that if you keep bigger fish they see as a potential threat it also increases the chance of them sticking together as a school. Moreover, I read that a bigger school results in a broader distribution of aggressive behaviour, meaning less stress for the ones being chased every now and then. But who knows, maybe I was just lucky.
