    I take my intro to riding course next month, then basic rider training 1 in June. My adventure is about to begin! You videos are a big inspiration.

    You go girl! Doing great! Practice practice, practice makes progress. Rev match your downshift, makes things SO much smoother. Takes practice but you will know when it’s right by the feel and sound of the bike. Use ALL your senses on the bike, listen for what gear you need to be in, you and your bike will be one I promise.

      Thanks for watching!!! And I appreciate the tip a lot!!🙌🏻 Dunno why but rev matching scares me lmao. I'll watch more videos on it and learn more about it. And I'm learning lots every ride! Still got many more parking lot sessions ahead of me haha

      @SenditSteph . I was riding well on my old 1999 GSXR 600 but I've been off for a couple of years now. I just got a 2008 Z1000 this Christmas but now I'm having a lot of trouble with my downshifts. Everything feels clunky. Could it be I'm just not be fast enough releasing the clutch, loosing to many revs. Do you have a video on rev matching for downshift? Any help would be great.

    My first biker wave nearly killed me. Was on a CBR600 and he was to my left so I released my land hand to respond and my right hand ripped the throttle. Haha scared the crap out of me.

    cool bike. I was going to get one but it is too leaned over for me. So I decided to get the CB650R. it is upright and sportbike fast. I am picking up this weekend + ) stay safe my fren

  • @movingpictures998
    @movingpictures998 4 года назад

    I might be late commenting, but you should always use both brakes at the same time when you’re stopping. You’ll get the most stopping power and be the safest. It’s good to practice. Also I just started too. I’m on a z400 thinking of getting a 600 next. What do you think of the leaned over riding position?

    • @ReeseRides
      @ReeseRides  4 года назад

      I definitely agree!! After more practice I've gotten used to emergency braking with both-makes suuuch a difference.🙌🏻
      I sat on a ninja 400 at a dealership before I got my 600-and I remember just how comfortable it was!! Great bikes.
      When I first started on my CBR the more aggressive lean was definitely strange and uncomfortable at first, I'll admit. Slow speed turns feel different as well...The upright position IS more comfortable on naked bikes even after I've been riding the CBR for a few months. After about 2-3hrs of riding my wrists do start to ache just from being so hunched forward...however, that honestly doesn't bother me at all and I simply love this bike!! Feels natural going through the twisties and on straight aways. :)
      Apologies for the long response-so much when it comes to bikes lol. Hope that helps!

    You are doing great. It looks like you have come a long way from when you first got your bike. Awesome stuff.
    PS. I too love the biker wave when riding, sadly I'm finding more riders that don't wave these days. At least not in my area any way. Fantastic stuff, keep up the great work. I would love to do some vloging but I don't have your confidence. I'm also feeling like a fish out of water with my new bike. I need to practice.

    Stumbled on your videos and I’ve been trying to bite the bullet on taking my MSF course! Really nervous

    • @ReeseRides
      @ReeseRides  3 года назад +2

      You got this-don't hype up the nervousness-just go for it!! The worst part is building up the fear-once you're actually there and in the class, it's a BLAST!!! You learn so so much and you gain a lot of confidence to ride. And you can see it as an opportunity to see if riding is for you or not, that helped me justify giving it a try...and now I'm addicted. 🤣 Definitely go for it!!🙌🏻🙌🏻

    On dirt bikes we have steering stops that physically prevent our forks from turning past a certain point. If those are removed, the steering can turn tighter but may hit radiators etc. Maybe there is a steering stop missing or perhaps the steering stabilizer is what limits the travel either direction on the steering on your bike. I am also in Colorado. I'm in the Denver area. If you need tools or help at all, let me know. I'm always happy to help another motorcyclist. Plus it might be kind of fun to guest-appear on each other's channels since we have the same channel name :).

    • @ReeseRides
      @ReeseRides  4 года назад

      Exactly!! I've struggled to find anything on it with the CBR so I'll have to keep looking or take it into a shop-but I'm glad I'm not going crazy and making stuff up!🤣🙌🏻 I'd like to practice full lock turns but I don't want to suddenly drop the bike cause my front brake hits the stay.
      And hell yeah, thank you!! Definitely awesome to find another Reese Rides!!🤙🏻 I'll be sure to drop a sub!!
