Kevin....I have had psoriatic arthritis for 33 years. I understand the pain and suffering. It is discouraging and debilitating. The combination of psoriatic arthritis and the tick bite is very painful. We will pray for you. Father our brother Kevin is your child who has been an example of your kingdom. He has been a faithful servant sharing his life and live for you with others. He is in pain and full of sickness. We ask for your complete healing, relief of pain, and a renewal of his immunity. We believe you will heal him completely. In the name above all names Jesus we pray Amen.

Hello!!!❤❤ I wanted to say THANK YOU! I had been feeling really bad. The top of my feet hurt, and my hand joints and arms have been aching so bad I wake up crying. I have an autoimmune Illness,(PMR) I thought I was having a flareup, so I went to my rheumatologist, and all my blood was fine. This morning, not only did my mother send me your video, because I was telling her my symptoms, I watched it. I was able to get into my local clinic, and my d Dr. has me on the same medication you got put on! I’m a neighbor of yours in Webster County, I’ve ran into you two a couple of times, and visited a bit. I do have a tick bite on my back that was extremely red, and I just kept putting medicine on it and didn’t think anything about it. But your video made me think twice.! again thank you so much!

My husband and I were both diagnosed with Alpha Gal Syndrome a couple years ago. My main symptom was severe GI pain (with other side effects including extreme fatigue, brain fog, constant diarrhea, and several unexplained bouts of hives), but after my diagnosis and a lot of research, I learned that it can cause any inflammation in the body to become much worse- like arthritis in joints. My husband had severe joint pain that had gotten so bad he couldn't lift a glass of water off the table in front of him. His doctor had referred him to a specialist to get surgery on his shoulder, until I had him go back to his regular doctor and get the blood test for Alpha Gal. Sure as the sun is in the sky, he was positive. Once he completely changed his diet with me, his joint pain went back to a manageable level and he can fully function WITHOUT surgery! My Gyno wanted me to have surgery for pelvic congestion syndrome- but after changing my diet and avoiding all mammal meats, dairy and other by-products, I was able to cancel my next appointment with the vein specialist. I may still have pelvic congestion syndrome, but the symptoms of it have dang near gone away completely. Oh, and my anxiety level has dropped tremendously, because I'm no longer constantly wondering when I'm going to have a bout of pain that would make any normal person rush to the ER. AGS is a life changer, but at the same time, we are both eating much healthier and feeling better than we have in a long time!

@@kcfamilyfarm939 I was tested for Alpha Gal, which I had never heard of until the allergist tested me for every thing. Since moving, 12 years ago to Oklahoma, I have all kinds of allergies. After testing, I've found out I'm extremely allergic to penicillian, egg whites, steroids (found out after taking steroids), shell fish, all kinds of outdoor stuff (here where I live) which in turn affects my sinus' severely. On top of dairy and sulfate allergies I carry epi pens with me at all times. I'm taking 5 different meds for my sinus'. Got the Alpha Gal results back, they were negative. Since we live in the country, on 20 acres, and have tons of wildlife. I need to spray myself with natural oils or deet (a prevenrative) for ticks. When working outside, or feeding the animals, I check my clothing before going in the house. I also take my clothes off, do a mirror check, and have my husband check me for ticks, and take a hot shower. So far with spraying myself with geranium oil (mixed with water) the ticks have left me alone.
I'm sorry to hear you, and your husband have Alpha Gal. I'm happy you're addressing the issue, and have changed your diet which has helped. Inflammation is a hard thing to deal with when dealing with injuries and pain. You're right about changing your diet. By doing this it can resolve many issues. As homesteaders ourselves, we also went for the longest time thinking nothing of it when we pulled ticks off ourselves. Two years ago my husband and I both were diagnosed with Alpha Gal Syndrome from tick bites. It made us allergic to all mammal meats and mammal by-products. It turned out lives upside down- I was milking dairy goats every day, we had a large number of meat rabbits, and we were raising several lambs up to put in the freezer for the first time. I sold ALL of our mammal livestock animals. It SUCKED. but we have expanded our poultry to include ducks, Muscovy ducks, quail and geese (we already had chickens and turkeys). But on the bright side, I've learned so many new recipes and ways to cook poultry and fish that it actually expanded our diet to more flavor profiles and we eat a lot healthier (no junk off grocery store shelves because so many of them include some kind of mammal by-products like dairy, gelatin, magnesium stearate, etc). But the transition is HARD for anyone.

I have so much respect for you guys. Been subscribed for a while. I hope you read this. In 1996 I took a horrible fall. 36 feet to concrete. Shattered both legs and broke my back. Im lucky to be alive! It took 14 months before I could even go to the bathroom by myself. I was 30 years old. As time goes other problems arise. Arthritis is a huge problem for me. Now please don't take this as a pitch to sell something, but I came across a supplement called relief factor. It's specifically for joints and such. It has made a huge difference in my life. You should try it.

From this it has caused him not to to be able to eat ANY kind of beef or pork products and some types of seafood also cause a reaction. If he does eat them, even a small amout, he will break out with burning hives all over his skin and will be in intense pain for hours and hours. I so hate this has happened to you. I feel your pain and frustration as its prime time to gather food, and its nearly impossible because of the pain. This morning it felt like more bones broke. @@janicecohan5939 My story is somewhat different but sounds just as painful. I've been okay in Probiyoiv Pills, but they are made for me by a compounding pharmacy. My husband and I went to Cairo ten years ago for a friend's wedding. You guessed it. The Pharohs' Revenge struck me. I ate lettuce even though I was treating our water with a cleaning system we carried; I didn't think about lettuce. I became very unwell with some bug. I saw a Dr. twice. He prescribed antibiotics. I knew what one was but not the other. I seemed to recover. When I got home, I saw my doctor because I was uncomfortable in my stomach. They were quick to diagnose C-Diff. My Dr. told me that the amount of antibiotics I'd taken was enough for a horse and that they had caused the C-Diff. After ten days on Vancomycin, I felt a lot better. However, subsequent tests showed that my gut flora was all but depleted. I have been taking strong probiotics for ten years, plus the yogurt I make and Kefir. I understand that permanent damage is done and that I will always need to supplement my gut flora. It's not comfortable at times but tolerable. I wanted to warn Kevin I tell most people taking an antibiotic to ensure their gut flora is supervised. Poor Kevin gets to hear all out stories.

My husband went through something about 20 years ago that sounds exactly like what you're going through. Everything hurt and especially his joints. He couldn't hardly get off the couch to go to the bathroom. We went to the doctor several times and they did several tests with negative results. Even for Lyme. (Although I've since learned that typical Lyme tests aren't thorough enough and rarely detect most Lyme cases.) He took 3 rounds of antibiotics. He was miserable for about 4 or 5 months! The only thing that actually worked was when the Spirit spoke to me to have him take garlic every hour. We decided that it was worth it since nothing else was working. Within days he was feeling better! May you be blessed to recover quickly and can get back to your normal life.

I watch several homestead family channels, even though it is a lifestyle completely different than mine. I always worry how they will manage to take care of elderly parents or themselves when illness or injury strikes and still maintain the property and crops and keep the animals fed and the cows milked. You can only do so much in 24 hours. I had hoped Kevin's parents would be helpers on the homestead when they moved there, but it quickly became apparent that that was not the plan. I know you are always looking for ways to work smarter, not harder, and this just proves how critical that will continue to be. I wish you all the best and pray for healing.

I understand the pain it's like every cell is swollen to capacity and aches with a bruised tenderness til it decides to stop. I just remind myself this is only temporary and thank the Lord that I am never alone. You take your rest because that is rejuvenating to the body. Ticks and skeeters won't bite thru oil or vaseline I seal my skin with suntan oil or vaseline and even put oil on scalp when I'm outside so far good results and no cracking of skin is always good.🌼
