Whelen Vortex R4 Siren Test - Lewisville, TX

Here is one of the two newest sirens installed in Lewisville, TX. This siren is located on F.M. 3040 and Railroad St. This siren was installed around March 2016 and was quite loud. During the test I noticed that at the point in oscillation where it switches directions, there was a significant delay in motion. I'm not quite sure what is causing that.

Do you know the code for Lewisville too because I had trouble finding it and I only have Denton so do you know Lewisville’s code frequency?

It does that because it doesn't have collector rings in it so that's why it goes side to side so it doesn't break its wires

Fin Mueller Correct, that is how they operate. However, they typically don’t take a 20 second pause before changing directions.
