The simplicity of the gospel quite literally set me free. Praise God He isnt willing that any should perish!
The simplicity of the Gospel preached by free grace teachers like Ono, Gregg Jackson, Petra Renatus and David Benjamin (and others) set me free as a 49-yr born again (when I was 8, but I was in the Catholic Church, then off to other cults my whole life) just 3 months ago. My whole life was plagued with losing my salvation and now I am FREE bc I am HIS forever. Now to unlearn 49 years of lies. It can only be done by the washing of the Word!!

Jesus paid for it all. I don't deserve his love or forgiveness but I have his love and forgiveness through his finished work on the cross. He bore my sins and punishment so it's his righteousness in me.

I always cry when i think of how sad God was watching jesus get beaten so badly and crucified. He really loves us. I know i have let him down and i am so thankful he loves me🙏🙏❤️

Make no mistake, the crucifixion is an awful sight from our perspective, the pain and suffering that must've been felt from our Lord and savior Christ Jesus. But the Holy Son of God willingly took this position from eternity past that He may bear our sins and that we may be seen as righteous before God. It may be a hard saying, but it pleased that Father to crush His Son. Use this as an opportunity to bring glory to Christ, and the work that He has done. God manifest in the flesh, as a propitiation for man's sin. Not only the high priest offering a sacrifice on behalf of his people, but the spotless lamb himself.
The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"
(John 1:29)
Jesus Christ, the Holy Son of God, God in the flesh, is the perfect perpetration of mans sin against God. A work that was completed once and for all.
The fact that Christ willingly took this position shows the love of our God.
In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
(1 John 4:10)
There are many aspects about God that may be confusing to us as finite beings, but his love is pure and goes beyond what any of us can bring to the table. Brothers and sisters in Christ, let us bring glory to the living God, and pray that the gospel may work it's way to all individuals of the world, every tribe, tongue, and nation.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

It's impossible, the bible even tells you that those who say they have no sin are liars. Continual sin doesn't send you to hell, the first sin you ever committed sends you to hell because that first trangression broke all the law. I sin everyday, and while I try, I will never be able to stop sinning in this life because I am still here in the flesh.
The only main reason that I've figured out why people like to push the 'stop sinning' thing is because they have pride in themselves and think they are better than other people because they 'don't sin' (which is BS). They're caught up in pride, and as we all know, pride leads to destruction.
That's why it's so hard to accept the fact you can do nothing to earn heaven, the work was already done for you. But people don't like that, they want to feel like they 'earned' heaven and feel better than other people. But I am no greater or worse than a serial killer or rapist because we all have sinned. In the eyes of God, we're all guilty. I am equally deserving hell as the next person.
Imagine being in court for murder, but then you go "But look, I did all these great works and I donated to charity and I changed my behavior! I am kind to everyone now! My charge should be dropped!"
Nope, you're still guilty of murder. GL trying to do this at the judgement seat of Christ.

We are called to believe in Jesus. That is biblical.
Sadly many people like Ray Comfort and John MacArthur and those who follow RC Sproul believe that your belief in Jesus is NOT ENOUGH. That you must keep working at retaining your salvation by your good deeds. Impossible.

I always hear him tell people to: 1) repent of--i.e., experience Godly sorrow for and turn away from--their sin; 2) place their trust in what Jesus did for us on the Cross; so, I sincerely ask: why is it that you (and others) say that Ray preaches a works-based salvation? Am I genuinely missing something? 🤔
I've seen only video clips of John MacArthur; so, not enough evidence is in for me to have much of an opinion on the general message that he preaches.

Ray seems completely consistent with biblical teachings-repent and God will reveal himself because of the faith that person has demonstrated (this example is a faith-based work, i.e. not a dead work such as a merely intellectual belief, is that correct?) Surely there has to be a work of faith when walking with Christ (and free will), rather than a simplistic and merely intellectual understanding of faith. I hope someone can help me understand because I am so confused! Thanks

We don’t deserve it. We can’t earn it. We can’t work for it. Christ shouted “tetelestai”, translated to IT IS FINISHED!
SALVATION IS COMPLETED. The God-man purchased your salvation on the cross in full. You can’t even leave a tip.
Therefore, the issue is no longer about sin. It’s about your own volition - your attitude towards Christ determines your eternal future.
You can receive Christ as your Savior today by trusting in him, by accepting his work on your behalf, in just a moment in time, and salvation is yours!
So one can just forsake his faith in a few years and still be in heaven? All because of this 1 moment in time they took today?
@@arckmage5218 YES!!! As a Christian, the only potential you have in losing anything is eternal rewards, NOT salvation. So forsaking your faith after a few years or even the next hour, does not break your permanent union with Christ. It only makes you lose rewards.

Just as a baby emerges from his mother’s womb a single time, so an unbeliever can only be born again spiritually, ONCE. Biologically, your father is and will always be your father. No circumstance and no failure of his child can change that… just as our Heavenly Father can never forsake his spiritual son. Principle: once a son, ALWAYS A SON. Eternal life and a relationship with Christ is permanent.

Agreed. Repentance is acknowledging and having regret and sorrow for your sins. However, It IS a work. It's just a work that God does.

Finally, someone who explains exactly what the bible says and doesn't add anything to it. It clearly states that whosoever believeth in Jesus Christ should not perish, but have eternal life. Too many want to add nonsense like, oh you can't sin at all or you can lose your salvation and this and that and this can be frustrating to new Christians who want to learn the truth!
As Jesus said: "For my yoke is easy, and burden is light." I hope more people can see that the Word of God is complete, and that salvation is a free gift as God promises us. The first church I joined told all of us that we are saved not just "by grace through faith" but by "becoming a disciple, water baptism, attending church 5 days a week, giving up everything, hating your parents, friends, and non believers, and tithing us hundreds of dollars every month," even though regarding salvation the scripture obviously doesn't say the last part.

@OnoratoDiamonte what do I do when I sin? Just thank God for his mercy and forgiveness? I know 1 John 1:9 is a salvation verse. So I'm just wanting to understand. I find myself in the habit still at Times telling God about my sins and then thanking him. I feel like I'm making Father upset because it isn't clicking with me for whatever reason and I just want to fully understand and not budge from it. I believe. I know I'm a sinner and I know I sin daily in word thought and deed. I also know I don't want to sin. Help me understand. Thanks.

@@OnoDiamante me personally i remember putting my faith in Christ when i was young about 7 or so years old. got baptised when i was 14. what made me sure of Christianity being true and strengthening my faith in Christ. was the dates of the gospels being so close to jesus death. thats what convinced me yeah this is true no matter what others may say about others religions. in others words growing in knowledge of the evidence of jesus christ helped me in grow in his grace so i could focus on spreading the gospel being a better representative for him with his help of course.
