Great Setup and video. Notion was getting a bit too overkill for me too so I managed to switch over to Apple Reminders/Calenders/Notes as my setup. The ease of use and the focus to actually do the tasks rather than doing admin work/maintenance is key for me. Plus the integration of reminders on calendars is pretty sweet. I'm currently building out my Apple Notes setup and looking for templates to follow. I feel like I'm 80% there already. The quest to automate everything :D
I’m new to your channel so maybe you’ve done this already but I’d love to see obsidian vs. apple notes! I how simple apple notes is but hate how you can’t insert code blocks like you can in obsidian. But obsidian is nice but something about it doesn’t feel right for me!
That's actually a great idea and one I might consider, so thanks for that! I'm also going to be honest with you. While I JUST made this video going over some of my recommendation for Obsidian, I do think I am falling out of love with it. The power is certainly there, but like Notion I tried before it, it becomes overkill and gets in the way of what I truly need to do, and thats write scripts and note take. Too much to fuss with. Not an inspiring UI. And it wasn't 100% reliable all the time. I hate paying for apps, but I also like to have some of this "work" stuff separate from everything else I have on apple notes because it becomes too much. I have been using the app "Bear" this year and I think I am in love. I believe you can do code blocks too. just a thought! Welcome to the channel!
Give me your best tricks for getting stuff done below!
