Great video! I think what I like most about it is how the manager (or whoever is filming) actually acknowledges how much effort this employee has put into his organization to be more efficient.
I like the saying, "it's not what you do that makes you fast, it's what don't do." You obviously don't waste time messing around finding tools and that saves time.
Today I FINALLY bought one of these carts. Found this video just now and as the minutes were ticking by it was occurring to me I was liking your set up more and more! Awesome ideas and great video. I'll be borrowing some tricks for sure, thanks!
This guy is ready to make money. I am in the same process with my shop. Same ideas but I have a cabinet shop. I am doing the same thing with my new van. Everything needs a dedicated spot so I know where it is and at the end of the day it goes in the same spot.
this is really awesome. i love all the thought and attention to detail that ryan put into the functionality and ergonomics of his service cart. gave me alot of good ideas to try out myself.
I like the set up. I mix DIY things with store bought things when it comes to modifications. The trashcan is huge for me. Whenever I'm in a shop I waste so much time looking for a trash bin.
Dudes smart you stay organized save as much time wherever you can, and you maintain steady work pace and sometimes work even more faster yet efficiently love it
Dude! That has to be the best tool cart organization I've seen. Everything has a purpose, very efficient, and alot of use in a tiny mobile package. I just picked up a blue US general and added 2 side trays. Definately gave me some insight on setting mine up.
He earns his money from beating the hours on an insurance quote, so of course he's going to be efficient & organized. If you want "base pay" in the collision industry, you're walking back and fourth to the big box. Nice tool cart setup & thanks for taking the time to put your ideas out there for others.
very nice set up man. I have been doing little things to my cart for years too. those carts are great. I keep trying to tell other mechanics that walking back and forth to the big box is a waste of time
Good job buddy, this isn't being anal this is practical organisation that actually saves a lot of time. Very impressed and will take on board some of the great ideas. Thanks.
Ryan, super job on the organizing. Very efficient and well thought out. The trouble with the Kaizen foam (besides how expensive it is) is that it takes up too much room. On my box, I tossed the drawer liners and bought 2 rolls of Duck Shelf liner. Nice and thick, very durable. I used some spray adhesive to glue the liner to all 5 drawers, the top compartment, and the bottom tray. Wish I could attach a pic. As for organizing, I have the socket rails from Tekton, where the sockets twist lock on the rail, and they make nice little clips for the side of the rail to hold a ratchet or extension. The rails come with labels, too, but I labeled my sockets because I am not able to see very well. I do like your idea of painting the caster locks red and green, and I will do that to my HF 5 drawer box.
Yeah this is super well thought out. I like the trash can and water bottle holder the best! I know not really tool related but this evolution should be helpful to everyone who cares about efficiency.
I'm autobody technician 27yrs and wish I knew this years ago, looking for tools costs u money. I have the same setup I call the immediate toolbox and another big toolbox that has specialty tools that u use only occasionally (German car tools) I must say when ur setup like this, other techs respect u highly and u make more money !!!
Sweet. Ive got the same cart and I love it. About the only thing I didnt like on mine was that lid sticking up like a sail so I took the struts off and it just hangs down the back. ;-)
Eliseo Gloria some minor modification needed. It can't close with the kaizen foam. Not a problem at our shop though. But something to think about. Thanks for checking out our channel.
Great video! For the audio, invest in Audacity, it's free, and used the noise removal tool. Not going to get rid of all of it, but most of that background sound is removable.
I think hes been watching the big bang theory to much, where sheldon has a label for the label maker, Joking aside i would hire someone like that in a heartbeat....
Kool. Well thought out and efficient. Would cut most jobs time in half. But now when your frustrated, you have no reason to walk away for a minute. 😆🤣😂 lotta bathroom trips I guess.
May be ok for an autobody guy . Being an Automotive mechanic my god i would run out of room . I currently have two 55W / 24 deep ? 33 high Snapon rollers and i am out of room . Guess it depends on the trade
I havent seen anyone else use a holder or magnet for their air hoes. I was thinking of doing the same thing. I hate bending over to pick it up. I guess great minds think alike😀.

Very true! Thanks for watching!
Can I see what his box looks like now 🤪 great tips. Thank you. Started an apprenticeship and this is going to help a ton!

GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE!!
This guy is a keeper. Fast, efficient, and best of all....productive.
I like the set up. I mix DIY things with store bought things when it comes to modifications. The trashcan is huge for me. Whenever I'm in a shop I waste so much time looking for a trash bin.

Nice set up Kevin. Those HF tool carts are getting more and more popular.
The best example of how it takes time to get your box or cart organized for your personal situation.
Never heard of Kaizen Foam. Had to look it up. Will probably order it now. Ryan did a great demonstration why to have it.
Dudes smart you stay organized save as much time wherever you can, and you maintain steady work pace and sometimes work even more faster yet efficiently love it
Thanks for your feedback!

Such a dense resource of good toolbox tips. Thanks!

Fantastic set-up. Thank you for sharing!
Excellent job. A great working cart example.
very nice set up man. I have been doing little things to my cart for years too. those carts are great. I keep trying to tell other mechanics that walking back and forth to the big box is a waste of time

Look at the floor in that joint, sweet. The building I work in is 700 years old and the floor looks like it.
Excellent organisational discipline
Great job. Good intelligent approach.
Give that man a huge raise!!!
Outstanding! I have that same box and will try some of those ideas out. :)
Great job. Exceptional organization. Fun toolbox tour! This should be added to the garage journal website.
Fantastic Setup 👍👍👍. (If I had 3 hands...) Love Ryan’s toolbox!
Awesome set up brother.
Thank you!
Bro you have most mods on that little 5 drawer than anybody I've seen 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿👍🏾
Great video thanks for the presentation.
Even to this day this setup is great.
This is a great video one of the better ones I'm not even a mechanic I'm a machinist and I can use some of these ideas
I don't know if the foam will work for me in the environment I work in but that box definitely gives me some ideas. Good job.

This man likes three things, organised tools, water and the gym.

Great idea!
this is awesome, super efficient... my only concern would be locking my tools up every night
+Kevin Slagle Thanks for watching and commenting, Kevin!
Nice, spending time doing this helps you work so much faster.
At 4:30 it sounds like he says "Opposite of the fucking sand paper..." lol
Impresive
Forget cup holders, It's got a Jug holder!
i wonder if he folds his toilet paper in halves at work lol j/k but what a great tool box setup and this man deserves all the coffee breaks

Wow great job sir. now that foam did you get from the stuff they ship parts in ?
Hi Humberto, We order our Kaizen foam from FastCap. Here is the link: www.fastcap.com/estore/pc/Kaizen-Foam-p13435.htm
+WarrensburgCollision right on thanks for the reply
Nice! good job.
US General...I like that. That tells me he's smart about money, so he's probably more likely to be smart in general--and about cars too.
Hey I gotta ask what airtool oil is approved for the body shop?
Nice set up! How did he get the lid to open at a 90 degree angle?? Can it be shut?
Eliseo Gloria some minor modification needed. It can't close with the kaizen foam. Not a problem at our shop though. But something to think about. Thanks for checking out our channel.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Haha, organization is key! We are very proud having someone like Ryan on our team. Thanks for watching!
Liked everything but the labeled sockets. Like the idea, just wouldn't last in a greasy environment.
Inspiring.
