Thanks I have been in 40 + years now too and over time I have became a tool horder and I believe I have developed a tool addiction as well.
Amazing insight, amazing video. Do a video on how you organize parts while working in a high production shop!
That box is a good concept, hopefully your dealer was fair to you; and yes, you are quite right: all the trades are under the gun now.
Greed has destroyed America.
To many people wanted that easy money and refused to be productive; they have managed to wreck it completely.
Nice setup. I work pretty much the same my roll cart holds the stuff I use consistently and my big box holds everything else. My only issue is now my cart is about at capacity. Just recently added a side tray to my cart and it’s awesome I can lay out my hardware on reassembly or have a place to set things on tear down
Yep its great piece of kit for sure, space and packout become a bit of an issue, continuing to fine tune and will probably shoot an update at some point
Love the set up
I have Martin brand body hammers and dollies to me they were the Cadillac
Organization and accessibility IS key. I have most tools i use most on the lower shelf on my rolling seat. I know where everything is and goes and I dont lose tools and can move quickly.
I learned along time ago the tool box don't make you any money, all you need is a cart and that's all you need.
Nice setup 👍
This is a nice setup and great advice!
thanks for watching!
😊great video!
I do upholstery work and a lot of the same concepts apply - gotta stay organized or it’s no fun!
Thanks for the awesome video. I got started in this industry in 2020, building my tool box and collection of tools... I made a tool box tour of my own on my channel. Keep the videos coming!

Thanks for the video. I use Gorilla clear tap to protect the paint where I am using magnets... I also flip the 10, 13, 19 sockets over so I don't need to read the numbers. I also use paint markers...bright green or yellow...on the socket numbers but your numbers show better. The Harbor Freight 18 inch magnet tool holders and the "ABN Universal Magnetic Hand Tool Holder"s work great for the tools in the drawer that you are planning to cut foam. I use the ABN ones for combination wrenches but your grid system looks nice. All my SAE go in a lower drawer. I use the big drawer at the bottom for the blown molded cases. Good luck.
Those are great suggestions thank you!
What are the parts that are holding your flat picks called?
Stay away from corporate companies for sure

Power cabinet!?
Man I was so invested to see what was in that power cabinet and you never opened it lol
Oh I thought I did show it, I apologize for that! Will rectify
The magnetic racks that you have that hold the sockets on top and the wrenches below who makes those

Most kitchens try to have everything within 10 ft. of the cooking station. Same should apply to having your tools where you are working.
Great point!
I decluttered some tools I was no longer using, sold them off, do more with less
Agreed, going through the toolbox at least yearly and pairing down is a healthy exercise I started doing
Can you give me a item number for the cart/toolbox?
Best advice I'll give is get out of that trade best thing I ever done the money sucks and the work destroys your body no way I want to still be on the floor at that age
Hey I agree! Waiting for the collapse of the entire industry, then they will pay top dollar to have people come in a teach again/consult
You can work as hard and efficient as you want but so much is dependent on your estimator and insurance assessor.
I am 50 and cannot wait to get out of this garbage industry.
Insurance company's have killed it.
True!
Work salary for a shop that doesn’t have DRPs. Hard to find, but they’re out there.
I work 4 days, 36 hours a week and make about $120k.
The key is training, lots of training. ICar, any manufacturer training you can get, every welding certification you can find and take the ASE tests, collision and automotive.
