But at the same time, I hate when I see not Italian people that don t know the story behind the song and they usually start to dance and to do strange stuff like it was a common and unmeaning song with a great melodie. Bella Ciao is such an important song. It's a protest song sung by mondina workers in the paddy fields in northern Italy. It was to protest the horrible working conditions they endured. I believe the earliest version was from 1906. Then adopted by the Italian partisans between 1943 and 1945 against nazi Germany. Then again during the Italian Civil War against the Italian social Republic(fascists). It was also modified to the 1943 version it was originally called "Alla mattina appena alzata".
cool fact: the Italian song is a historical melody which came from the union of the country, people from that particular event are called "giubberosse" and their dresses are red. By the way, keep it up man ur awesome!

Bella Ciao is such an important song. It's a protest song sung by mondina workers in the paddy fields in northern Italy. It was to protest the horrible working conditions they endured. I believe the earliest version was from 1906. Then adopted by the Italian partisans between 1943 and 1945 against nazi Germany. Then again during the Italian Civil War against the Italian social Republic(fascists). It was also modified to the 1943 version it was originally called "Alla mattina appena alzata".
