please do more hopsin, the ill minds will make your mind ill, thank you so much for these videos
It’s great that you dgaf cause there are to many people on this earth who give to many fucks about what everyone else has to say or what they do
What about Cross roads with Royce da 5'9?
Like this comment so he sees it
Discrepancies - Digitus Medius.
Imma keep posting till you do it 😂
“yellow brick road” eminem please, the best reactor on RUclips right here 💪🏾
The “mate” is reference to “Hotel in Sydney” where he talks about his fiancé cheating him when she pregnant, accusing him of assault, causing him to be deported for life from Australia. Great song. Do it next
she using the kid to get at Hopsin and I feel for him damn
Damn thats screwed up. It's crazy the stuff women will do to get back at someone
That's effed up
I figured that was the reference.. But can/dose he have to pay some sort of child support and when I say can I mean can Australia force him to pay
@@lypsohgameing2859 fairly the cute in a suit skit from no shame shows she probably didn’t mean for it to be that serious but it got insane. Not defending that bitch though it was some ba
Hopsin is very underrated
Your not underrated if everybody knows about you, and most people think your very good at what you do
@@oldsif645 knowing his popularity and the communities thoughts on him I do think he is underrated
@@oldsif645 You might know who Hopsin is, but he’s never really made it big. He just gained a lot of followers from the NF collab, but there’s still a lot of room for him to grow and get bigger. His talent is amazing, but it’s not as recognized as it should be
Too true
@@arthurglosterbeg to differ I didn't kno who nf was until they done the collab together, honestly thought nf just did music for children's shows and shorts on yt that my kids watch, known who hopsin was for years since tech n9nes am I a psycho, the albums raw, haywire and knock madness where just fire to me nf gained followers in my eyes but who knows my thoughts anyways mate
Knox is the master at dropping his knoxledge on us.
Class is in session
Yea Knox has taught me so much like I am becoming a rapper myself and if it was not for him I would be a crappy rapper but because of him I made my first triple and I am going to shout him out in the same song along with NF and Em so Knox you are my fav teacher
@@KnoxHill go check out Stevie Knight's interview with Hopsin, it is like a 4 part series with 3 parts out so far, you'll see how they did that camera work on it
10 points for ‘Knoxledge’
Smart
I'm black, and hopsin will stay cycling in my top 3 favorite/ best rappers with Joyner and Eminem.
The irony in the ending scene, that before he can carry on as an artist he needs to blow up his “negative thoughts” personified as himself. Meaning that he needs to blow himself up before he can blow up. Not just a double but borderline Paradoxical.
It's an homage to Annihilation as well. Entire theme of that movie.
@@CubeParrot1 never heard of the movie i’ll have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation.
My first time being exposed to Hopsin, other than NF’s mixtape. Don’t know much about his history but I’m surprised that someone so talented was ever thought to have “fallen off.” Great job as always, Knox
He’s really good, I recommend listening to his older tracks and albums super underrated. If you like rappers like em, NF, Joyner you’ll like hop
Go listen to his Ill Mind series. Ill Mind 5 and Ill Mind 7 are the two best
Listen to Nocturnal Rainbows
Nocturnal rainbows by hop is my favorite song his whole pound syndrome is one of my favorite albums.
@@Rmg0604 nocturnal is undeniably good but it is an acquired taste and is definitely not something someone new to hop should listen to as one of the first songs, there are better sounds out there more suited to introducing someone to his music then they can listen to the heavy hitters
The 3rd verse planning out his suicide is just cold tho...
Glad he said he's no longer going through those dark times.
13:50 that's Sadhguru talking there, Hopsin do meditation "I'm assuming" he is probably paying homage to him for helping healing Hopsin's mind.
Sadhguru indirectly helped hopsin a lot in his life
This song reminded me of Eminem's song "Guilty Conscience." Could be an homage. I noticed the Eminem references from the Shelter to his Conscience trying to get Hopsin to take his own life.
Ya, I got the same vibes.
I noticed a lot of ppl saying it reminded them of guilty conscience but it was more reminiscent of my darling to me. em takes the role of one of the conscience and talks to other people whereas in my darling his alter ego is talking directly to him so it's a convo between marshall and his alter ego much like in this song with Marcus and Hopsin.
maybe I need to revisit guilty conscience to get the reference but for now this is my take
@@BattleBorn868 i thought of my darling as well
@@BattleBorn868 yeah, i don't get why people compare it to 'guilty conscience', probably because they didn't hear 'my darling'? Because in terms of similarities 1st one is only close because of conversation with inner self, while 2nd features almost the same message and thought process along with it.
Definitely getting My Darling vibes
I love how he actually can hear/catches all the lyrics straightaway. A lot of reactors just don’t listen to everything
Man, I'm so glad these are songs that Hopsin made in like, 2019 & 2020. It's good to know that he's no longer in this mindset, but also scary to realize it had gotten that bad.
I've just realised how similar breaking down lyrics is to teaching English in High School.
Yeah, thats why i was always confused at people losing their shit over a simple line. It's just english and the funny part, english aint even my first language.
@@sXsKidd o
NF and Hopsin be learning from one another. This song really feels like NF's Intro III, and NF's that'a a joke sounds very different from all his music. Both artist are evolving and learned from each other.
Dam even if u scrap that NF colab he did jus look at what he has done over the last 10 years he has always been goat level... he a goat in my eyes... he will one day die a legand in my eyes... he is a living legand now... hop was one of the first to use RUclips to start dropping music independently...
what scrap the new generation of rap learn to hop from nf but the old learn nf from the hop.
Recently discovered Knox, music is bangin and his lyric breakdowns are bangin too 🤘🏻
That’s love bro. Appreciate the support 🙌
The Indian sounding voice at the end is Sadhguru. He has a ton of videos on YT and travels the world teaching. He is a next level spiritual teacher. I'm glad Hop listens to him. His perspective is unparalleled. Great reaction as always my dude.
When he took his break he was in a really dark place and upon his return he made a video saying we're gonna hear alot of dark music coming out this year from when he was in that bad place but not to worry he don't feel that way now he's good
Man you broke it down so well. I'm in ur full support. Definitely gonna check u on insta, spotify, the album, sub and all of that..
Saadguru is the Indian voice he's a motivational speaker. Very knowledgeable positive inspirational person Knox keep up the good work the content you produce is excellent 💯🎶🎵🎶🎙️
Fun fact hopsin actually put Joyner on his first country wide tour then Joyner blew up bigger after opening for him that’s why the Joyner shout out has a lot of meaning to him
in my teens i had a boxing coach,i admit sucked at it, but the man threw some truth bombs. One that stick to me to this day was "nobody can criticise you harder than yourself" meaning that youre the only one that knows all your shit and if let it take control,if you give power to it, it becomes a lovecraftian cosmic horror monster that overwhelm all your will.I think hopsin was talking about that, and he sharing it can make a difference to people.Youre not the only one
My man!! Dope reaction! Sadhguru is the Mystic speaking at the end. He has been speaking on spirituality for 30+ years.
Nf just dropped his entire mixtape. Definitely a lot to unload
Knox, amazing reaction. You're the only one who appreciated the camera, the beat and everything. You're not just reviewing lyrics and that's what I love about you. You pay attention. Please if you'll have time react to Hopsin - Your house. It's 2 months old and it is amazing track. I would love to see you reacting to it.
hes not dissing joyner hes just being open that he is jeaulous of his level of success. Also the I
I love how you break down every line. Much love to that ❤️. Real MC move. Thank you for doing what you do brotha ❤️🔥❤️🔥
This video is one of the coolest videos ever. I’ve always felt that Hopsin hasn’t gained the recognition he should for his art. Anyone who is a fan of his should go to his website and buy some merch to not only support him, but also to let him know that you appreciate the blood, sweat and tears he puts into his music. Like Em, he is a storyteller. If you have followed him from the beginning, his life is an open book.
Looked it up, that man at the end of the song is Sadhguru, a very famous yoga instructor and author since yoga isn’t just all about the external with the stretches and stuff, but also deals with the mind and spirit. Most likely in that speech, he was referring to negative thoughts corrupting both, and not let negative thoughts do that to you.
like 18 years from now I'm randomly gonna get a cymbal in the mail I can feel it
13:55 Probably zero connection, but the line talking about the importance of being alive reminded me of Dr. Kanojia's (a psychiatrist/Twitch streamer) speech after a streamer called Reckful, who struggled with depression and was also featured on Dr. K's streams, commited suicide. Dr. K also happens to be part Indian and I assume the narrator is as well, due to the accent. I don't know, just a strange coincidence I suppose.
You’re the only person I’ve seen who has acknowledged the ad libbing- and it’s such a huge make up of how the song is constructed. (My novice opinion🤣)
💥🏆💥 Thank you Knox!!!
Puerto Rican over here, Hop is one of the GOATs, PERIOD!
I coudlnt WAIT till you did this. This song is a true poem from the man
Bro I’m black and I love this guys music
I think that's one of the best new Hopsin songs tbh
To me, this is the best song since Ill mind 5
@@shadowproductions969 idk man I didn't listen to it, I'm into Hop's music since the end of 2020 so I can't judge
Ill mind 8 is better than 5 in my opinion
@@damianoabbina9967 all his new songs are dope. Kumbaya, alone with me, covid mansion
The Mask reference i just got as you were talking about duality. The big animated guns, the brass section samples a little after that. Reminds me of The Mask... Jim Carrey basically became a different person when the mask went on... a charismatic, risk-taking, adgaf ladies man, etc. Kinda describes Hopsin wearing a mask sometimes to hide these internal negative thoughts and doubts from the outside world.
First time finding you I’ve loved hopsin from his early days seeing the video/audio quality from ill mind 1 to this makes me super happy
Hop addressed and said that this shitis gonna be dark this was before he got himself better.
As always Knox points out so many things in his reaction that no other channel does. Another great reaction 🔥🔥
was first introduced to Hopsin's music when my dad was listening to Ill Mind of Hopsin 4 & 5. I decided to check his music out and now he's one of my top 5's
My first thought after this is amazing was Hop is gonna end being a movie star. Production is amazing and he has his hand in all of it!
Knox your breakdowns r epic... Love from Zimbabwe...
You’re the first one out of all the reactions I’ve watched that caught he says (I’ve been with you since the team) people have been hearing teen which makes sense but he’s saying since his team from FV. Great reaction much love
I have been watching reactions over reactions of this music right here, and you're the best so far, because you you didn't just watch the video, and reaction, but you also pay attention to the little detail that lots of videos reaction miss.. congratulations you won my fan base
11:26 you can see the picture of NF and hopsin and he says people don’t know what they have until it’s “lost” (the name of their track)
How does this comment only have one upvote?
15:14 The way that I look at that Knox, is that death isn't the end... death is a new beginning.
So when Hopsin gave himself that grenade and he blew up that was basically Hopsin being reborn and now he is more self aware and he realizes what he has to do.
Hopsin realizes that he has a lot of people to live for so that's why he won't take the easy way out but instead I think he realizes that he's helped a lot of people and he still has a lot to say and dead men tell no tales so yeah I think this is the rebirth of Hopsin.
I think the collaboration with NF was also his new beginning and reinvention of self.
he is killing the devil on his shoulder
Thank you Knox I left a comment on another video asking for this and its as good as I hoped this would be
This is my first time hearing this song from Hopsin and I absolutely love it. He is a genius🔥🔥🔥
The last scene is from an actual movie, where they do the EXACT same thing. I think its called Annihilation (Look at Hopsins IG - he shows the scene in one of his posts ) ;:)
Also the Dancer scene, the gun scene, they are both inspired from "The Mask" - if you noticed the rose in his mouth :)
I think u are one of the greatest lyricist. Keep this up man, your hard work won’t be underrated!
I support hopsin, and im from Ethiopia❤
Hop actually recently said on his Twitter that the very end of the video with the grenade was inspired by a scene from the movie Annihilation. If you watch the movie or even that specific scene it sort of adds another level of depth to the end of the video. Personally I see it as Hop trying to rid himself of his negative thoughts.
So one thing about this is this whole suicidal portion sre words I've spoken to myself and it hurts seeing others go through it aswell
Welcome to the School of Hard Knox. Class is now in session, kids.
Knox that fucking hoodie is fire bro!
Hopsin is so underrated. He pulls no punches and his bars are so good.
I thought it was cool too at the end that they gave the impression that his real self was diminutive compared to the physical representation of his bad thoughts.
The "love you mate" might be in reference to meeting his Australian baby mama at an Ill mind concert, that's the best I've got for that
OMG FINALLY KNOX YESSSSSS 😭😭😭 My Soul Needed This 😭😭
hey Knox great reaction definitely got my sub, the audio clip at the end is sadghuru
Knox keep doing you loved the reaction but also loving the music wish I was smart enough to catch some of these lines but I've never been the brightest so that could be why stay blessed and wish you more growth man
You were talking about how the vicious circle and missed the line about being so empty but being so rich. Lol
The way that camera work during the first Corus is done with a camera that is on a rig controlled by a computer where you input how you want the camera to move and where it stops in between movements. Kendrick Lamar also uses it in his humble music video
Hop: suicide may be so tempting
Knox: Nice rhyme scheme
I love it 😂😂
Oooooh man I've been waiting for this reaction since hop dropped this song love watching this reactions
Bruh man
Raps
Makes his own beats
Direct his own music videos
Perfect actor
Writing insane
Independent!!
The vanishing effect reminds me of NIGHTCRAWLER, but its probably just the X-men nerd in me lol.
Love this track, i think its my new personal favorite from him.
Everything about it is pure fire.
I get a Nate Dogg vibe on the hook too, production is flames.
(oh, and personally, being a 30 year old, Hop impacted my life just as much as Kendrick and Cole did, He's a GOAT IMO!)
YES....the VFX were amazing and totally like Nightcrawler!
1. Thanks to Knox, my playlist is growing! What a dope song.
2. I know you speak some Spanish - would love a reaction to Residente (René is fantastic) or Canserbero!
The scene at the end where he gives the clone of him the grenade is from the movie Annihilation
"heart u mate" is reference to his time in Australia, he's got a kid in Australia that his ex doesn't want him to see.
You pointed out that female "Mmmmm!" sound during the hook and now I can't not pay attention to it xD
He used a Robotic arm camera, can be programed to to the exact same motion all the time, Stevie has some behind the scenes
yep, as someone who dabbles in VFX myself, I figured that had to be the way they did it before I saw it.. just rare to see music videos use robotic cameras. The Mark inspired shot was one of the coolest but the smoke effects were great too and not only a cool visual look but a great way to hide the cut from one take to the next to bring actors in and out
What people don't understand that at 11:15 when he pulls all them guns out it's a scene from The Mask the movie if y'all ever seen it. It goes over every reactors head lmao. And bothers me that they don't notice it lol
Love from India, Knox. 🇮🇳
Love your reactions and videos. Hopsin is amazing and very creative, and the sample towards the end is from a famous speech by Sadhguru.
Knox catches more than a fishing troller. Keep doing you thing bro, most amazing breakdown surgeon on youtube. React to anything from Diabolic.
Been waiting on this reaction since it dropped. You know the flow... notification, click,⌚it all the way through.
NF does has a song that is about depression and it is close to about suicide in the way that the lyrics sound. It is NF - Paralyzed
The battle scene I feel like its like an inner battle where he is battleing himself mentally. The video itself is from before he got out of his depressed state, and the ending is a representation of him destroying his negative mentality or those negative thoughts. Idk, just the way I read into it
You're great bro, looking forward to your reaction to clouds the mixtape
I can't stop hearing the "mmm" now that you pointed it out 🤣
This song is essentially a Eminem - Talkin 2 Myself, but obviously through Hopsin's eyes of the world.
lots of rappers have done similar, but most of them battle their demons and have a duality.. this is pretty much showing he couldn't battle his demons himself and instead Sadhguru's words and daily affirmation type messages are what helped him defeat his demons
@@shadowproductions969 oh I know. Everyone has their demons, but not everyone can put their feelings into banger songs. I love Hopsin's music, and I can see how much of an inspiration Eminem was on him. I'd love to see them two on a track.
Hopsin posted a video before this dropped to get ahead of how everyone would worry about him when this dropped. He said that he had written this in a different state of mind, that he is doing better but still wanted to release the song.
Hopsin is LEGIT one of the Goats!
05:55 Listen to the adlib and check his face after the bar. PERFECTLY TIMED!!
I can’t wait to see you react to NFs new album, especially “Trust” it’s 🔥
thank you!!! Knox, you are literally the best man
Keep up the great work man. You make me appreciate these songs even more by realizing the difficulty and technical aspects of the song. Your explanations also help me understand parts I missed. Again, well done.
You should watch Stevie knight’s interview with hop. Not even for a reaction, it just sheds a lot of light on how he’s doing now and where his minds at.
I didnt notice it the first time I watched the video but the ❤ u mate sign could potentially be a reference to the woman he had a kid with in Australia who got him banned from the country. I wouldnt go out on a limb to say it is but the thought crossed my mind when you read the sign.
Always enjoy watching your videos!!
Thank you 🙌
the guy at the end is sahd guru or spelled close to, hes a very intelligent man that spiritual/self reflection people listen to from India. Def check him out!
Also, you were asking about how they set up the camera for the first chorus/hook. This whole video was shot on a robotic arm with preprogrammed movements. It's how they did these awesome clone shots so easy, it's computerized so they just shot multiple takes and used a smoke effect to hide the cut. Pretty awesome video to really compliment this song.
hopsin puts his hand on everything he does. Watch his interviews with stevie knight. it explains a lot!
such a great interview....shows some of the BTS of the video shoot
I was waiting for your reaction!
You seem to be an old soul. Love your insights but more so your humility. Coming from the Land Down Under🇦🇺💪
I discovered your channel last year...u mad underrated bro
First 60 seconds of every track I watch you review, "this guy doesn't shut up, why do I watch him..."
60 seconds after that, "oh yeah, he's one of the few RUclipsrs I actually enjoy watching break down the lyrics piece by piece"
Respect man, hope you make some money off of this stuff
That exact part was from ill mind of hopsin 5. That rap battle part was from 8 mile
Hey Knox.
First time seeing your channel, but i really enjoyed this video of your reaction to my favorite artist and producer Hopsin.
You have some deep insight and some great wisdom.
Thanks for a good video and stay safe
Been waiting on you Knox! Let's go! I already know your reaction is fire!
HOPSIN said it in a video previous to the new songs that he is in a better place than when he wrote the songs, so he went through all of this and is in a better spot.
