  • I'll be very surprised if Hashimoto takes gold. Sorry for not talking about the wild cards, but I think these eight guys will be the main players.

Very hard to pick a winner in the -73 now that Ono has retired. I think it all comes down to who has the day. It could be 8-10 guys that has the potensial to take gold.
    Im going for Heydarov.

Heydarov has learned a lot from his mistakes and spent years was in Orucov's shadow, who taking part in two Olympic Games. Heydarov knows his time has come and he will be different this time. More patient and better prepared. I have seen his last games and he does everything so well, it's almost unbelievable. No mistakes, no risks and I am sure he will be in the final with Hashimoto. But Hashimoto could be champion.

Heyadrov vs Lombardo is the early final for me

Gotta admit there was zero room for interpretation in that Stump - Lombardo match on head diving. I couldn't name a better example of what the rules meabn by head diving. He just straight up jumped on his head. I feel like he'd be really dominant if his strategies weren't breaking the rules for his own loss.

Stump looks like Kyle Dake's long lost brother! They are even at the same weight.

Lombardo vs Heydarov is going to be great. Heydarov coming off from unbelievable last second win in Worlds...Can he carry the momentum?

Japan made a mistake picking hashi...When he sucks, he sucks. He is like space out many times. The younger guys are much more competitive, but I guess judo is managed in japan as a company... seniority prevails.

Still wondering how Cargnin got a medal at the Olympics between all of those names

I think he's a strong judoka. He has a win over Shavdatuashvili and some other high level guys. Definitely wasn't a fluke, but he's not right at the top like Lombardo.

    🥇Heydarov 🇭🇺
    🥈 Hashimoto 🇯🇵
    🥉 Cargnin 🇧🇷
    🥉Lasha 🇬🇪
But I think Ono or "Prime Hashimoto" can defeat everybody

@@JudoHighlights2015best Dris’s wins are against TSEND-OCHIR in world championships 2023 ( he got 7th place ) and djakova from kosovo 2 times and yeah he losses against some of the top 8 but he did great with them
