    SUPER BRIGHT HEADLIGHTS have been recognized as one of the leading causes of accidents nationwide.
    Some states have started legislation to ban these headlights and some states are now ticketing drivers with the super bright LED headlights.
    Is there anyone reading this that has not been totally blinded for a few seconds from a car in oncoming traffic or completely blinded by a car traveling behind you ?
    The police obviously cite people for a burnt out headlight or taillight which is minor compared to being blinded by these insanely bright LED lights coming towards you or traveling be you.

That means when neighborhood streets are designed like highways, many drivers will go at highway speeds. Those streets are designed wrong. Neighborhood streets should be narrow to make it uncomfortable for drivers to go too fast. Basically the whole rest of the world has already figured this out and now design their streets narrower, but the United States is stuck in the 1950s for some reason and keeps designing streets way too wide. That's very true. Drivers will make mistakes. If they make a mistake on a safe street that is slow and narrow, everyone will be fine. But if they make a mistake on those street-highways in Las Vegas, multiple people are likely to die. They need to fix the design of the streets to be much narrower and slower. If they change the intersection to a roundabout that would actually have a HIGHER throughput of people than it does now, and it would be a lot safer at the same time. Traffic engineers in the US are just really really really bad.

    Of the 23 pedestrians, I bet none of them have a drivers license. They have no idea where vehicles could be approaching from, how to judge speed. What a traffic light will do next. I always see people crossing on a red then suddenly surprised when turning cars honk at them

    • @mariusfacktor3597
      @mariusfacktor3597 10 дней назад +1

      The pedestrians were killed by reckless and negligent drivers who weren't paying attention. Crossing a street is not a crime. Ploying into a person with your heavy machinery IS a crime. Don't blame the victims. The bigger problem is the design of streets in Las Vegas. They are designed like racetracks and we wonder why people speed and die. Streets need to be much narrower.

  • @hqp7198
    @hqp7198 12 дней назад

    Instead of re-engineering the traffic controls to be safer, police is using it to make money by issuing citations!!!! They're not solving the problem but capitalizing on the problem. I'm sure DOT can re-engineer the streets, traffic conrols to make it more safer!

    • @mariusfacktor3597
      @mariusfacktor3597 10 дней назад +1

      You're correct. It's not just the traffic controls, but the design of the street and intersection in general. In other countries they have far lower traffic death rates because they design their streets to be safe. In Las Vegas they build every street like a racetrack and then wonder why people speed and die.

    Before we get enthused about traffic scofflaws being ticketed appropriately, one only needs to look at SoCal, and their policy of having such a high percentage of unpaid tickets- some individuals with hundreds. Naturally, if enough people do something like stiff the city, county and state for unpaid tickets, and the usual steps taken don't faze the dedicated scofflaws, in the end the Left in Cal just dismisses the tickets based on income- if you're a scofflaw who has no job, and/or lives weeks to week, well guess what- YOU WIN again in Third World America, because that's how the left does things, and make no mistake, they're in control.

    Having been born and raised in Vegas 50 years. The city wanted so bad to become "major" city and respected and admired such as LA,San Diego,NY,Dallas,Miami,Tampa etc etc that the city leaders and politicians took too much on with trying to make this a big city that they did not address infrastucure. The public transpo in this city was virtually non exixtant. Its come a long way but no where near the amount of planning for such an influx of ppl moving here in droves for last 30 years. The city 25 years ago never had any type of area in town that was referred as a "district".you know that big city term where legit districts are known. 15 years ago they started referring to the seedy downtown as the "Arts"district lol. Because why there were some citizens on fri nights who used to be artists and do lil pop ups down by the seedy casinos. I remember it mid 90s i was traveling on I15 and it said " Chinatown District"next 2 lefts. The District was literally 3,4 chinese or thai restaurants in a strip mall. That.was.it. The Chinatown district. Lol. Getting prosports team majorccoup ill give them that bjt outside of Golden Knights who is very local and was an expansion team so literally feels like our team.tbeyve had great success in such short time. The Raiders? No thank you. Bunch of transplants from Oakland who are rabid and makes for great tv but has been very underwhelming and feels like just a transplanted team.
