Hey man, just wanted to let you know how much i’ve learned from you as a photographer! Even got the A7iii and the Sigma 35mm 1.4 because of the recommendations you gave. I havent had so much fun in a long time. Excited everytime you upload something! Keep doing what you do! (It makes me doing that aswel.) Love from the Netherlands!
Hey man! Wow, thank you so much man. Comments like this really mean a lot. It’s one thing to do it for “views”, but to see the people on the other end of the video truly being impacted means so much to me. I’m absolutely loving teaching you guys what I know and learning with you all. Thanks so much for being a part of the journey my friend! Love from Canada! ✌🏼🇨🇦
Dude, I did not know that the ISO couldn't go that low on the SLOG2... that's crazy and gonna make such a huge difference. Thanks for this one man, you're always sharing so much awesome knowledge!!
Ya man, it makes a huge difference being able to get your ISO a bunch lower! That footage you got with your camera looks real good for our upcoming video!
Hey man! I’ve been thinking I should make a video on how to use manual settings in your camera because it really varies depending on the situation your shooting in. As long as you shoot in RAW and get your exposure right, you can fix a lot in post. 👊🏼
Hello. What are the best settings for filming (vlogging) from inside a car? I mean, there are so many changes when the car is driving… sun, light, if you point the camera to the dash and then to the road?Would you leave just on auto mode?
Great vid man! Polite request: Could you do one for photos as well? Best settings for car shots... in terms of focus modes, focus zones, image settings etc...
@@b34astmotorz I guess typically I’m on wide zone focus and let the camera do the work. If it’s not catching focus I’ll tap the screen on the a7iii telling it where to focus, or pull manually. =)
Hey Alex just got this camera and set these settings.. are these for day and night videos / photos settings ? with just a preference of our own shutter aperture and iso to suite day night conditions ?
Hey Alex! Thanks for sharing all the settings Question: at menu settings, the exposure mode won’t change to Manual for me. All of the other settings i was able to change except exposure mode. Please help
Not necessarily. If you want something more long term I’d look for a full frame camera. But that is a great starting camera and will treat you well if you go that route 👌🏼
I think that's a great little camera! I did a ton of paid work with the Sony a6500 so you should be great with the upgraded version. Just get one or two really great lenses with low aperture so you don't have to use ISO - they introduce noise pretty quick with the APSC sensors. Cheers!
@@TheCarCreative would you say the sigma 16mm 1.4 would be good? Or the 4 30mm 1.4? I don’t have too much money for lenses so I can only buy one right now.
I personally would probably keep it 3:2 but if I know I'm shooting for a specific photo like that then I would make sure to leave room if I need to do any cropping etc..
great dude thank you very much!!! I tried every picture profil and I ever get noises:/... maybe you want to make a Video how you expose and color grading your images ? It would be very helpful !!:DD
I tried out a weird premiere this time. Not sure how well it went but I'll likely do them during the day from now on. =) Thanks for always showing up man!
is this setup mainly for lowlight settings and night videography? because i’d love to shoot during night but i’m also out shooting a lot during mornings and sunsets, bright lit settings
@@TheCarCreative personally I think it’s good if you have good lighting, even still the limited 800 ISO screws everything. It’s like you’re forced to upgrade. I like the #sonyalpha R series because of the flexibility with photos and videos but this limitation on the R2 is a bummer.
16:9 is good for "cinematic" stuff but if you have a full frame then for me personally would be a waste of sensor.. its like if you buy a 60" tv and you cover one part of it bc you only want to seen 40" idk if you get my point
Both cameras are great. Honestly, my opinion, if you can wait for a little bit a bunch of people are going to be trying to sell their a7iii’s to buy the mark iv so you might be able to snag a used one soon and if you can afford it getting the full frame sensor will be well worth it and you won’t need to upgrade as soon if you don’t want to. That said, I used the a6500 for heaps of professional work and it is an awesome camera!
@@TheCarCreative hii I know this video is 2 yr back and chances of replying to my comment is low but if you see this comment pls reply ,currently I use Eos r for wedding videos but I am lacking 120 fps lot looking to upgrade what should I get a73 or r6 I know you bought a73 and again r6 so you can clearly tell so I am waiting for your reply ..
24fps is the “cinematic standard” based on the movies we watch in theatres etc... even when you shoot in 60, or 120fps, often you will (or should) conform that footage to fit onto a 24p timeline, meaning the 60fps should be slowed down to 40% or 120fps stretched to 20%. =) Hope that’s helpful.
A small tip is to add timestamps in the video this will help alot to refer back to which setting we need
Literally got my A7III and Tamron 28-75 in the mail today
Congrats 🙌
Ive got the same setup! Youre going to love it! Congrats
Have those for a year now, best combo ever!!
Congrats man! That's super exciting! What an epic setup!

The fact that I baught my Sony A7Rii yesterday & this video pops up on my notifications is a sign ! Thank you
Love it when it works out like that! =)
Amazing camera. Get that 35mm 1.4 photos come out godly.
I personally use HLG 3, its easy to grade and gives me a great dinamic range!
Nice! I’ve heard that one works well also. Buddies of my use that.

Hey just found this video and set up my A7 3 just as you but I only have 25p / 100m and 100p/100m to chose from, any tips ?🤔
Seriously, first video I've found of yours and just subscribed!

Eh!!! 🙌🏼 Thanks Ben! Glad you enjoyed it brother!
The photographer Josh Peck. Thanks for this.
Hahaha! I get this a lot. 😅
Good settings for low light../ night shoots... street photography
Agreed with this
I've also hear that picture profile 2 is really good for Low Light stuff.
can you make a "best settings for car photography" ? i find the sony setup is pretty tricky to learn :)
has he?

Make sure you’re in Video mode, or on the dial for video mode. Don’t be in any of the M, AV or other modes?

It what I used for everything honestly. Didn’t change up my picture profiles too much.
The most important button is the record button though 🙋🏼♂️😂
Haha! Fair! Gotta know where to find it!
the picture profile 4 will change only in video mode or pictures to?
It will function for both but I turn all the picture profiles off for photography.
