From what I hear these are only available in duty free stores in 1L bottle & cost much less than RB in U.S. It should have "Traveler Exclusive" printed on label or box. About NCF, has anyone on here ever contacted Jack Daniel's to see if any of their products are NCF?
yes that is the understanding and yes this bottle came from Japan. GOOGLE SAYS Yes, Jack Daniel's is non-chill filtered: Lincoln County Process: Jack Daniel's uses the Lincoln County Process, which involves filtering the whiskey through sugar maple charcoal before aging it in barrels. This process can take several days. Non-chill filtration: After the charcoal filtering, Jack Daniel's is non-chill filtered. Barrel aging: The whiskey is then placed in new, charred white oak barrels for aging. Some say that whiskies that are non-chill filtered are more authentic because chill filtration is an extra step that some consider to compromise the natural whisky-making process.
I have two bottles of Wellers 107. One is for collection, and one is for sipping. The sipper is half full. And I definitely like the 107 or the full proof better than Rare Breed. If I find another 107, I'll send it to you.
Rare Breed is probably on my top 5. I just picked up two bottles 👍🏻. I can pick up the non chilled in the airport in Miami Duty Free. But I’ve never purchased one. Maybe I’ll pick one up this week.
@decknightontherocksbourbon I think there are some flavors there that I just can't taste yet, but I also think some of these people are full of it with the 20 different tasting notes.
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife. 😂 Homer is a lucky man. Woman that loves Rare Breed. 1000% keeper.
I often hear that non-chill filtered is better than chill filtered. Sounds like more heat on the non, which makes sense. It's kind of like drinking from a chilled glass, I assume. Cheers

How the fck do you get two different notes from the same recipe? They are both made from the same ingredients. The only difference between the two is one is non chilled filtered and one is chilled filtered. But the notes are different? C'mon man! Lol. This is where me and Homer agree about the 20 different notes. Don't make any sense at all. 🤷
I like the glens!!
Makes everything “chill” filtered 😉 😂
slumming it
Homer needs his smeller checked
Yeah he does. And a new hat!
yep
I bought the NCF in Oregon 3 years ago for $45!
great pick up, what did ya think?

I love really closely related head to head comparisons like this. Thanks!
they are the hardest to do

We have 3 bottles of the 107. We have to disagree on Rare breed though. We think it's far better than the 107.
WT 101 now is about half the quality from 2017 WT 101. The Rare Breed batch from 2/28 & 29 2024 is much lower quality than even a few yrs ago.
I’m a fan of wild turkey in general. I’ve never had the NCF but it sounds like I should give it a shot 🥃
if you can find it
How do you fit all that hair under that hat?
stuff it in there.
Why you so sweaty? 🥵
hot, real hot.

that's what the general consensus from bourbon drinkers is.
Homer has my palate. Good or bad. Simple.
i like it that way, i love to nose and taste them but to try and figure out all the notes, Im getting over it.

i agree with this statement
Enjoy the information, it's good to know.
Thanks for watching!
