    I know this isn't about frozen shoulder, but I thought I'd share my experience about that anyway... I had frozen shoulder, and when they came at me with a gracious offer of steroid injections I ran the other way, and bought a pass for a local hot water pool. I got in there twice a day, and after the heat would start to relax and "melt" me, I would move my shoulder in micro-movements to the point of pain, which felt like maybe 5 mm movements. Every day was slightly better than the day before, and after two weeks I was healed.

    Morley says we shouldn't be using citrates. The citrate molecule causes the ceruloplasmin protein (aka functional copper) to lose its enzyme function which in turn, interferes with the body’s ability to keep iron functional. He specifically says to avoid magnesium citrate. However, Algae Cal Plus has strontium citrate in it. I think Morley would not approve strontium citrate either.

There is definitely a lot of info to unpack in this interview. I am anemic due to thalassemia trait disorder and i started testing ferritin levels last year which showed adequate iron yet I am anemic because of my red blood cells are not the optimal shape like a normal person. Pardon me for being skeptical when I am told about the critical trace mineral de jour. The biochemistry here is certainly over my head. But I can say that before fundoplication surgery, I had several blood tests in successive years which showed low iron. When I finally went into the doctor complaining of getting out of breath while skiing and biking as well as ringing in the ears, a CBC revealed that my hemoglobin was 4. After surgery in May 2020, the iron and hemoglobin are both normal. I find it hard to believe that I had excess iron stored and unutilized in my body before surgery.

    • @sheilagardiner7302

      The key is…your body is not recycling the iron as it’s suppose to. So when it doesn’t have a place to go it stores in the tissue. Changing your diet and focusing on things that help get the iron circulating you will change your outcome. We’ve been fed a diet very high in iron. (Think all things fortified) Odds are pretty good we’ve all got iron stuck in the tissues.

    • @thomasschellberg8213
      @thomasschellberg8213 4 месяца назад +3

      @@sheilagardiner7302 But I did not change my diet. I had a hiatal hernia repair and the acid reflux went away. The most likely explanation was that GI bleeding was depleting my body of iron. I no longer have low iron or low hemoglobin. I have not needed another blood transfusion since I had this surgery. Do not get so wrapped up in your pet theories that you can't see alternative explanations in some cases.

    Interesting to hear what he said about EDS. I don't have that exact diagnosis, but I'm borderline with extreme flexibility, even at age 76, plus problems with an unstabile SI joint. Too much flexibility is not a good thing and doesn't necessarily prevent joint pain. Somewhere I read that estrogen can aggravate SI joint laxity, but I have no plans ti ditch my HRT. However, it does make me wonder how this might all trace back to copper, especially since I was always surprised when years ago my nutritionist prescribed copper supplements based on my hair analysis.

    Great video! But my comment is totally off-topic. I was surprised to hear Dr Doug say that frozen shoulders don't get better. Might that depend on how early treatment is started for the problem?
    I had a diagnosed frozen shoulder years ago from a repetitive stress posture at my computer work. My shoulder was so sensitive I couldn't even tolerate the shoulder enclosure for an MRI. I went to an orthopedist, who gave me one cortisone shot in the shoulder, plus he told me to do a simple but somewhat difficult exercise of slowly raising my arm against a wall. I did this faithfully for a while, til I no longer had pain or limitation. Since then I can reach high shelves with no problem and bring my shoulders back against a wall normally. The only time I notice a very tiny difference in that arm is when I have to lie on an exam table with both arms stretched above my head for a long time. I think I used moist heat as part of the treatment as well, but I can't recall for sure. Just my two cents that a frozen shoulder might not be hopeless. 😊

    With a deficiency of Ferritin and B12 my doctor told me to eat more meat and buy iron supplement and to use it every day.
    Of course that didn’t help at all so I began to look for alternatives and try to understand what’s going on with my body.
    Started taking copper bisglycinate 2mg/capsule 1-2 capsules per day. Also magnesium and L-tryptophan before bedtime.
    Slowly I started to function again and get better sleep.
    It’s sad that our doctors are brain washed and don’t understand how it’s all working I symbiosis.

    I've listened to two videos and hours of arguments about this iron vs copper between these two men, but I still don't hear anything about how to correct any health problem. Madness! I can only guess, from what I've heard, that a deficiency of copper is responsible for fatigue and aging and the solution is to ingest more copper? But how exactly?
    Let me inform you two doctors that if you have a hypothesis, you should first define it clearly, then test it and then report the results in a practical and intelligible way. I don't see that here - I don't see anything that a person can use to improve their health or remedy the problems of aging or fatigue. Useless!

    Sorry, I'm not resonating with this one. Something feels a little "off" about this and his presentation of it. I listened to another podcast with him to get further info. I then went to Amazon and read the 1 and 2 star reviews of his book - esp the one from a homeopath and another who's health declined after following the protocol for 1.5 years. There's also mention of lack of scientific references in the book and poor editing. May work for some but it's probably not a magic bullet for healing.

      That really doesn’t prove anything also vibing is not evidence.
      There are bad reviews on everything that exists, there is such a thing as user error as in they can do it wrong or you can vs it’s just wrong, and I have seen no evidence that there is not even he tried just saying that and not providing even one source or reference.
      Why do people think because someone siad they did it that they actually did it or they did it correctly? Why would they be so trustworthy these random strangers but Morley doesn’t vibe with you? Many struggle to even organize their house or their finances but you think if they say they did a health protocol they nailed it really well and definitely did it right?
      Also why do none of you have evidence besides ‘it seems weird, some people didn’t like it, it doesn’t vibe with me.’ If that means it’d wrong then all things are wrong. And magic bullet depends on what you mean, it could be a significant factor yes that effects many people yes.

    • @ComeAlongKay
      @ComeAlongKay 5 месяцев назад +1

      All of that could just not be true. Those people could have made it up or not done the program right they could be wrong about no evidence and there could be a ton they could feel the editing is bad but it may not be true it just seems that way to them. So many possibilities. It’s mostly like saying nothing if there’s no evidence, which he right now has more of compared to them.

    • @valeriereneeharper

      So you are convinced that his book has a lack of scientific reference even though you didn’t read it yourself? Lol Guess that’s the kind of logical reasoning you get from someone who goes off of “vibes and feelings” lol
