Egyptian here. I think the global consensus in the middle east is that the Egyptian dialect is the funniest one and lebanese/levantine accents are sexier.
Funniest not in terms of how it sounds but how you can use it to say funny things. And it’s also easier to speak in egyptian because it’s “lazy” in the same way the american accent is to the British accent
The cool thing about this comparison is that Lebanese love Egyptian accents and Egyptians love Lebanese accents… definitely a lot of love between the two cultures.

I’m learning Lebanese but as someone who’s heard all the other Iraqi, Saudi, Egyptian and Algerian dialect I came to realize that I enjoy it the most when women speak with Lebanese dialect and accent while on the other hand I enjoy the Saudi accent for the men
@@nabatean180 Depends on where you are from. In Kuwait we have a large Lebanese population. We also grew up on Lebanese music and TV channels,, so everyone can understand Lebanese pretty well. Same with Palestian and Egyptian. I would say the only dialects we wouldnt understand is Morrocan and Algerian.
@@msdd7610 Yes, the French and Amazigh influence is definitely a huge factor. But they also shorten the vowels in Arabic and speak very fast. All those factors combined makes it tough to make out whats being said or even recognize the Arabic when they speak.

i don't believe this was a fair comparison because of the few number of people who participated. also, the Egyptians who participated were very individual and their own characters - which might not be the right one for this kind of comparison - had the most influence on the other participants' decision. i guess a better approach is to choose a couple of romantic movie/series dialogues from both dialects, Lebanese and Egyptian, and to present them to your guests. then, let them decide which dialect is more sexy than the other.
If were going with movies then its a tough tie... old school egyptian romantic movies win the day every day for me and i imagine every one else... but these Lebanese Egyptian hybrid dramas these days make it very hard for me to pick a better accent. We egyptians excel in romantic comedies and ofcourse action movies... and tbh every other genre just with the sheer number and talent our celebrities have but with romantic movies and shows its a tough tie
i dont think ppl can talk like a movie it was just a small experiment and its known lebanese would win this and i found the egyptian girl did a really good job compared to realism... like she did too good to be realistic and i enjoyed the video in general but it was a good video overall everyone had their own character i think its the type of vid to just enjoy it and smile rather than judge it and what we think we could have done to it
@@aag3752 ethnically, lebanese are not arabs but we're talking about first people who appeared in Lebanon... people who came then (technically us), have many ethnicities, like arabs, kurds, greeks, turks.... i personally have kurdish origin. As for lebanese dialect, we cannot deny the big amount of arabic words so lebanese is not really a language, just a unique dialect with unique pronunciation and great amount of phoenician/assyrian words and features

i really can not tell the difference , but at work i noticed that my morrocan team mates always smile spontaneously when i start speeaking my lebanese dialect , and i even love the Moroccan accent too , they speak as if they're singing , and use a lot of affection words like "akhouya ( meaning brother ) " i love Maghrebi accent .. i think we as lebanese have a lower tone voice and patient in pronounciation .. that makes it maybe look romantic , even in arguing we tend to emphasize on the content of our answers rather than rasing our voices and speak high

Egyptian Arabic is kind of like Catalan. It is a mix of words from a lot of languages: Old Egyptian language, French, Italian, Greek, Turkish, Arabic
