Switched to Pixel years ago with Pixel 2XL (great phone). Just switched back to iPhone. The resason: Siri is better than GA/Gemini. Rationale: Google will not let me send group tests by voice. You can create a group (e.g. define person A and person B as in the group "girls"), but if you say "Hey Google text girls" - GA/Gemini simply can't. Siri can. If I say Siri Play _____ on Spotify, it will. If I say "Hey Google" Play ____ on Spotify, it won't. In all other respects, the Pixel is better. Tripod-like panoramas, circle to search, screenshots app, etc. But I mainly moved because of Gemini AI, locally (with 16GB RAM & TPU) and remotely when needed. The DeepMind team (AlphaZero, AlphaFold,…) is behind Gemini Advanced, Gemini Nano, Gemini Live,… I'm afraid 'Apple Intelligence' will take time to be fully operational, especially with only 8GB RAM… and I don't want to rely on either Siri nor OpenAI (for many good reasons).

The pixel has spam filters for texts and calls and has automated call screening for unknown numbers to determine if they may be spam. @@macrumors Ok, I'll probably get the 16 pro or pro max because I want to try ios 18 and I already have a z flip 3/a note 10 plus.
Aluminum was fine
So what's so great about the Pixel..... what makes it better ??? WHY ??? "It really looks legit. Best looking pixel yet." And ????? Is that suppose to mean it's better to use ????
Can we also throw in the Essential phone? First phone to have this design in the modern era
I loved my essential phone, well except for the horrible camera.
@@angelfromjtown they had a good concept. The two cameras to capture dark and light to combine is kind of how all modern phones work now. I did love the 360 add on tho!
Man that was such a good phone honestly
I just switched from Samsung to Google let's see how we do :)
Android (Google Pixel) vs. iPhone
iPhone fan since 2007… but I just switched to this awesome Google Pixel 9 Pro XL. Everything is simple & powerful (and Android 15 will improve it even further). Tripod-like panoramas, circle to search, screenshots app, etc.
But I mainly moved because of Gemini AI, locally (with 16GB RAM & TPU) and remotely when needed. The DeepMind team (AlphaZero, AlphaFold,…) is behind Gemini Advanced, Gemini Nano, Gemini Live,…
I'm afraid 'Apple Intelligence' will take time to be fully operational, especially with only 8GB RAM… and I don't want to rely on either Siri nor OpenAI (for many good reasons).
Ver good comment yours!
AI is scary 😱
Should I get the 16 pro max or the pixel pro xl? I'm leaning on the 16 pro or pro max because I don't know much about the pixel. And I'm a samsung user right now.
Coming from Samsung you will love even more the Pixel 9 PRO XL. Watch also Flossy Carter review of the Pixel 9 PRO XL. Myself best loving my Pixel!
@@rico4you Someone review s24 ultra and the pixel and said that the s24 ultra is better. Also most people said the s24 ultra is better.
@@Franzotm then why you asking? If you think S24 Ultra is better? It's not so much better or worse but what works for you.
@@rico4you Because I didn't know at first but I than watched vids and I'm getting the 16 pro max.
Iphone 16 pro max is coming 😈
It still doesn’t beat the iPhone on photos and videos
Google you can do better , what are you waiting for ?
iPhone is outdated
@@Arfarf69 used the latest first
That camera lol
The internals are great and I’m glad they stopped doing that two tone thing, but I’m sorry, the pixel is just so ugly looking with that visor and hole punch camera on front. I’m sure you forget the camera is there when you’re using it during the day; but that’s so unappealing to someone not used to it
If you’re judging a phone by appearance of the camera, then you should get some help
We need an alternative to both, something else bloat-ware free. Like a Windows phone...
iPhone 17 came early 😂
My problem with Google phone is, it doesn’t have a character, no brand recognition, just a generic android phone.
Pixel photos piss all over iPhone.
A year old iPhone btw. Let’s see how the pixel does against iPhone 16 coming up next week
Its only sometimes better in day time photos. Pixel Night time photos are lacking and portrait photos are straight up broken.
Pixel 8 Pro photos were already better than iPhone 15 Pro Max
iPhone video pisses all over pixel video. And portrait mode is aids on the pixel. Still thinking about going back to pixel from iPhone that I’ve been on for so long.
What i get from this video is alot of nitpicking of progressive technology and you have this odd praise of Iphones which does nothing but copy Samsung and restricts your phone outside of the samsung copying. Cant even multi task on the Iphone 15 or 16 pro max. Absolutely pathetic. Sad.
Lol didnt know you were from cleveland, thought it looked familiar
Cleveland rocks!
Incredible pixel photos. IPhone 15PM are great too.
Imgen taking a pic of ur mates gf then put ur self next to her lol that one way to wind ur mate up 😂😂😂
Honest question. Do Google phones still get filled with pop ups and spam all the time? I switched to iPhone and I never get spam garbage.
Nope
The pixel has spam filters for texts and calls and has automated call screening for unknown numbers to determine if they may be spam. You also have the option of using a browser like Firefox with ad blocking enabled. So pixel will actually be better than iPhone in this regard. Other androids don't necessarily have all of these features.
@@msquare91that’s definitely one of the main features I miss from the Android. When I switched from Android to the iPhone, I suddenly started to receive lot of spam calls and messages out of the blue. Didn’t even realize that Android filtered those out.
@@msquare91 On top of that I also have Adgaurd on my phone which does an amazing job of blocking ads, however that ad vanish feature they are coming out with looks pretty cool.

Didn’t need to watch this all the way to know that Google had the better AI & photography but Apple dominates in everything esle
What's does apple dominate in?
seems a bit bias towards google tbh
Why does he sound like a pained Apple fan boy in all the reviews...
And saying you're leaving comparison for prime reasons of waiting for the iPhone 16 is just by itself giving off the fact he's not wanting to sell the idea that an android device is doing pretty much very well than a top existing iPhone flagship.
Just fucking don't mention the comparison aspect, or if you are going to mention it just fucking compare the existing top tiers of thier race.
Also, being too hard on the AI aspect saying things like you're getting tired of hearing it( definitely what an Apple fan boy will say ) is just cringe.
Probably because the iPhone is still finding it hard to incorporate Ai into its products.
I enjoyed your phone review for sure
But as a gadget reviewer, u should be just and irrational.
If you support the apples, then review just those products.
Pixel
They all copy eachother
If we still had the Original BlackBerry OS, it was going to be the best competitor for all these brands ♠️♠️♠️
The portrait mode on the pixel is god-awful, I am a pixel 9 pro XL user here. I am embarrassed to say the portrait mode needs a lot and I mean a lot of work. Hopefully they fix it with the next update. Thank you for your honest review. Very unbiased I like that.
glas feel like glas and metal feel like metal.
tto say any glas or metal feel premium ist pretty pointless.
and that google switch the last year good smooth roundet case tthats great to hold over long periods o the samsung S24 case with the sharp flat edges ist a downgrade.
roundet edges fell genrally much more comfortable then flat sharp edges and adittionall to that not clunky.
to switch from nice to hold housings to this crap....
then all phones over 300$ make great DSLR quality pics much more there ist not relevant.
now to relevnat stuff about the pixel 9 vs iphone .
iphone put in ever year a overall much improved hardware, this hardware will handle IOS overall the next 6 year + s smooth like it have to be.
so you can use any iphone for many years smoothly.
google on the other side but into the new 9 model a very weak and outdated hardware !!
that was last year bad played and this year similar creapy exynos hardware is more then fail.
1/3 of the performance from flagship phones google put into the pixel 9 for 1000$ really?
to put into a new phone hardware the delivers with the actuall android 14 microshakes and lags in scrolling ..........
now the real question,
how long can this phone be used 1-2 years then the very big lags in androids 16 starts to force you a serach for a new phone?
pointless to put weak hardware that other companys put into phones that are in the 300$ range and try to get 1000$ for it.
why google think now 300$ hardware will be worth, coz they take the case from a S24 ....???
Pixel doesn’t stand a chance
clearly pixel a copycat phone
Samsung ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I do not understand this image generation, just use third party apps. Both google and apple should focus on assistance rather than this gimmicky stuff
You must be fun at parties 😂
Wife got a Pixel after having an iPhone, she's still having issues with it and figuring out what works and what doesn't. Of course it don't sync with it iPad, duh. Tried to tell her......
The only reason I will not buy this phone is the slow charging. I can not step down from 90watts charging from Xiaomi to this lame charging on a very expensive pixel 9 phone. Hell No, I am too smart for such nonsense.
Battery lasts longer tho. Fast charging destroys longevity
iPhones are Gay 😂
iPhone🙏🏻
All the AI generated stuff photos etc there are free apps for this period for both IOS and Android the google device are not doing anything special its a higher end device from google period even the Camera isnt that good The phone is just only better than the prev generation by a hair only So yeah S24 ultra best device for usa market google dropped the ball even there fold is crap had both of them and sold them, The Iphone on the other hand is a flawless timeless and just works People dont buy Get a samsung s24 ultra or wait for 16 pro Max
Its as chunky as tthe iPhone's camera bump from the base plate but of course Apple fanboy is blind to it
There’s always someone who calls me a fanboy after I just spent 10 minutes gushing over an android device. Like clockwork 😂
New Google phone vs an iPhone that will be replaced in 2 weeks. I guess you're really starving for views.
