Not only OnePlus has the best battery time usage, they also have the insane quick charging speed that beats everyone
80W is a lil bit above average in android world, my 2022 xiaomi has 120W. and I can tell you that 20 min charging time will come very handy sometimes
@@keyboard-bender the thing about BBK's (Vivo, Oppo, Oneplus) fast charging tech is that its speed/temperature ratio is top notch, 67-120W from Xiaomi heats up the phone, but 80-100W from BBK doesnt even feel warm and yet the speed difference is insignificant
It's the one thing I miss from my oneplus; those charging speeds. My s21 ultra just doesn't compare :(
Yup the charging speed is impressive
@@keyboard-benderdamn right, those fast charging speeds comes very handy many times and are no joke but a underrated feature
Awesome comparison man! Really must have taken a long while to do both of these tests for a single video. Thanks for all your efforts man!
It did, thanks!
They did it at the same time...
Oneplus 12 should also win the performance test. I don't think the speed of opening and closing apps is a good enough test for performance. Actually testing of app performance is more important. Oneplus 12 will win big time in anything that involves graphics like games and video editing. Oneplus 12 has AnTuTu GPU score of 762880 while the iPhone pro max has score of only 597734.
With things like games, you can't just open and close them. You have to actually play them at similar settings to see how they perform like FPS.
Recently switched from S23 Ultra to OnePlus 12. This phone is really amazing. Battery life is superb and you change the phone to 100% in just 30 minutes
are you in the US? cuz mine charges in 24 mins with the 100W
Mine takes 26 min from 1 to 100%
@@balbirbadyal71 pretty much same
What about the Camera?
@@fatimakhimani8947 its good, easily comparable to s24 ultra, no hate to samsung but I personally don't like their overprocessed photos. I believe the s23 ultra was much better in this aspect. Though the s24 ultra takes better photos of people and better videos than s23 ultra. So op12 is easily comparable to both. The videos can be improved. Potraits and telephoto shots are amazing. Low light is good too. Ultrawide can be improved.
The battery test was unbelievable!
And very nerve wracking.
"doing one plus better than the iphone"🤣🤣🤣 nice one there
iPhone and Samsung: WE HAVE THE BEST OPTIMISATION!!!
OnePlus with a big ass battery: We don't not care.
Honestly this just makes me wish that One plus or Samsung could match Apple’s level of optimization and efficiency so that those giant batteries lasted even longer.
@@-ThatGuy- with the glacier battery tech on oneplus ace 3 pro this might be possible, I know its not optimisation but its high density battery, lets see if they are any better after the battery reviews come out, it has 6100 mah high density battery so im excepting it to beat every smartphone
Well optimisation is for apple only, the builtd everuting OS and Phone, Samsung is android cannot be as optimised as Iphone...
@@Loicvers ok then, go glaze your apple's optimisation which is not gonna have any real effect while i enjoy my android

Samsung- works on marvelous optimisations every year
Oneplus- just increase the battery bruh!!!
nah Samsung never improve kernels to make it less heat or higher SOT,OnePlus was doing it so good 3-4 years ago but now Xiaomi has best optimizations
This is basically what happened.
@@cenanmehmetsince when does xiaomi have better optimizations?
I’ve seen plenty of battery review with xiaomi’s and it’s 90% of the time the hottest and less performing one… not exactly optimized imo.
I don’t know where you take your data to say that, but I like reviews and seeing the phone actually being tested compared to marketing fluff.

Guys, you all should do a Honor Magic 6 Pro VS OnePLus 12, ISTG !!
2:10
The Samsung let's you swipe once to exit in fullscreen,
it's in Good Lock > Home Up > Task Manager > Allow bottom gestures in full screen
That's what he meant, it's not directly in the settings like on Oneplus and requires another app.
And good lock is not available for everyone, for example I can't download it in my country

Honor Magic 6 Pro has even more impressive battery life than OnePlus 12

What’s amazing about this is how well the iPhone battery holds up and it being that much smaller. If and when the iPhone gets a 5000 mah no android phone will even get remotely close, the optimization is just insane.
The weight will be insanely high for the iPhone. We are also comparing what you buy rn not what it could be if something happens ik iphone is better at optimization but that doesn't justify it is still losing.
The wh per usage is comparable
I saw some other videos comparing it. It would be slightly ahead not by too much
When iPhone gets 5000, Android gonna get 8000😂
I wonder how an iphone would perform if it carried the same resolution.
You still forget the charging speed there's no comparison in this even they fit 5400 mah in almost same body it's not about mah it's about the real life experience better battery and no comparison in charging speed 9 min 50% charge....
Best overall mobile phone tests I’ve ever seen❤
2:10 well that's just on your "machinery". It takes too long to Initiate a double swipe compared to a human who could double swipe almost instantly. And there's no draw back to your machinery swiping once for the phone that requires it once.
On my OnePlus phone, I had a 1% battery left in standby, I took a 6 hour nap, and it still has a 1% battery upon waking up.
Try and get your hands on the honor magic 6 pro. It might as well be the best battery life on any smartphone till date.
"The real standout feature of this phone is its exceptional battery life. I've never experienced anything like it before. As the proud owner of the Magic 6 Pro, boasting a massive 5600mAh battery, it delivers an incredible amount of power. I'm confident that if you were to put this phone to the test, it would outlast even the iPhone 13 and the OnePlus 12 Pro by a significant margin, offering over 50 minutes of additional usage time." 10:11

@@MolineMase bro ofc you bought it for 1100, the price dropped by like 200 dollars when 16s came out and you also probably got it with a discount plus 1100 is still not justified for an iphone 15 pro max. Manufacturing costs are about 500 for the 15 pro max

One of the best comebacks ever from OnePlus. I'm very proud of them.
Android always beat iphones in real life usage. But people trust only youtuber battery draining test only.

@PhoneBuff - You failed to activate the high-performance mode on your OnePlus device, so it is unjust for you to make comparisons.
What is your motivation for showcasing the superiority of the iPhone on your RUclips channel?
Do you receive compensation for this?
OnePlus consistently demonstrates superior performance in speed test comparisons when pitted against the iPhone 15 Pro Max, as evidenced by many speed test videos.
Moreover, a significant number of Android users opt to activate faster animations, excluding iPhone users, which confers a distinct benefit to Android users.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 boasts a more potent Central Processing Unit & Graphics Processing Unit in comparison to the Bionic A17 Pro.
Given that OnePlus 12 was recently announced and has not yet had its first system update before your comparison.
However, this is not true for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The OP 12 would probably win the speed test with performance mode turned on, but on the other hand it would probably lose the battery test. You could turn on the performance mode for the speed test and turn it off for the battery test, but that's not a real life scenario. I have the OP12 and with that price difference from S24 Ultra and iPhone 15 PM it is easily the best phone out there, atleast for now.
@@tomasfiala4929 - Indeed, in performance mode, it will undoubtedly emerge victorious, as evidenced by numerous videos.
As users, we possess the ability to discern when it is necessary to conserve battery power and when it is appropriate to utilize high-performance mode.
Frankly, I exclusively keep my smartphone in high-performance mode as I am unwilling to compromise on performance.
If I find myself outside and need to maintain my phone's functionality for an extended period, I will activate the battery conservation features.
When performance mode is turned off, it will be successful in the battery test, as observed.
In the iPhone, there are no additional options available as it is already optimized for peak performance.
Why should the high-performance mode be disabled on the OnePlus 12 during a speed test comparison?
It is undeniably unjust for the OnePlus 12.
Phones must compete with each other to showcase their optimal performance.
Indeed, it is unquestionably one of the top phones available.
I hope they revert to the original Oxygen OS instead of continuing with this software based on Color OS.
Wishing you a pleasant and fulfilling existence. 😄

I’d like to know if there’s any difference when a VPN is used, when a Content Blocker like 1Blocker is used on the iPhone, when cellular data is used instead of WiFi, when the screen is set to lower brightness, when Low Power mode is enabled, when a long video is recorded, when apps aren’t force-quit, and when all apps are native (Mail vs Gmail, Apple Maps vs Google Maps, Apple Music vs Spotify).
I dare you to do the same test with Honor Magic 6 Pro 😂.
The Oneplus 12 is now with discount, €600 from China. Incredible price for what it offers, practically half the cost of S24U and iPhone 15PM...
3 times less in our country lol
Man Apple just leaves everything on optimisation, if they increase the battery capacity to 5000mah than surely iPhone will become undefeatable
But they also need to make space for big battery ??
You listen first, chips are getting smaller and smaller each year and so are the logic boards, the only thing that increases is the camera size and battery size
Did you turn on high performance mode?
Technically this can be classed as a win for iphone if the battery is over 30% lesser in size...but can't really say much if Apple aren't willing to put a bigger battery in there

Kind of torn; it’s impressive with how cheap the OnePlus is, however with having a 1000 mAh bigger battery than the iPhone, it should’ve lasted much longer than that.
I do own both the OnePlus Open and the 15 Pro Max so I have a fondness for both companies.
Especially since it runs a close to stock version of Android. Nonetheless, I'm still blown away.
Goes to really show how efficient the iPhone is designed to be. It's crazy.
Yeah, I agree. Congrats on winning, but barely winning out… and needing 1000 extra mah to do so. Really showing just how far optimization goes

Battery doesn't mean anything when you charge this quick. I would actually prefer a smaller-slimmer phone if it charges in 20-30mins then why bother with big battery
Damn it took 1000mah to beat iPhone optimisation 😂
And yet OP12 charges twice as fast than those iPhones inspite of that extra 1000mah 😂

Dear PhoneaBuff you should have uploaded speed test & Battery life test seperately. It's easy to keep track & don't have to fiddle with the slider.

In retrospect, I made a great decision to not upgrade my 13 pro max. Still at 88% battery health and can outperform entire 15 lineup..🧿
Amazing work bro. The amount of work put into this is insane.
Could you test the battery of the new honor magic 6 pro?
Wow FINALLY a phone with a WAY larger battery FINALLY beat a iPhone with a much smaller one. What a surprise! After YEARS of failing to last longer with HUNDREDS more battery capacity.
Not exactly a big accomplishment but okay
So 1000 mah gives you only 2% vs iPhone lol
Considering the faster charging and many more software features I'd say it´s a win
who's gonna talk about the price difference Lil bro?
Lower screen resolution, lower viewable screen, prison OS lol
It has to do with optimisation and all
If you’re going to allow a single swipe on certain Android apps you might as well activate Assistive Touch on the iPhone for a single tap on the virtual home button.
The fact that Apple can be almost identical in time with almost 1k less mAh (or with the 13PM 1048mAh less) is just amazing, well done Apple 👏
Nobody beats them in terms of efficiency.
It's not magic, they just kill every background process except for notification services . So if you're uploading a file or downloading something and you get out of the app the action won't be completed and after a little...it will be stopped completely and have to be done from zero . Android on the other hand makes the full functionality of the app work always when in the background
@@angelomarzocchi4202 But in this test there is zero background activity so your point is 100% invalid and moot. This test does not do background stuff and the iPhone holds every app in memory so it has no jetsam. So I do not understand your point?
@@PhoneBuff iphone not efficient for their customers money
@@andyH_England every app has background activity, trying to update new content for example :) just because it is not a heavy task doesn't mean that It doesn't exist. We can say in general that's an optimisation by iOS but will lead to problems in real life: I've seen friends that have to keep their phone unlocked and stay in the app to make Instagram upload a story, when the network is slow it's an awful experience . With my OnePlus or any other Android you can just lock the phone and not think about it
Sad that there's no intro of your channel anymore. That actually got hooked me up watching your videos since 2019.
Heck yes!!! It's so great to see an Android come out on top for battery life! Was hoping the OnePlus 12 would win in the speed test but it can't win everything I guess.
They just put a huge battery in the phone. A 20% bigger battery that provided an extra 3 mins of usage. Is that really a win? 20% dude!😃🤦🏼
Android phones have always had better battery than iPhones, I've had both, almost every iPhone and I haven't had a single iPhone that could stay alive for basically a whole day without minimum brightness and battery saver on

Yeah pretty much.
they can't. there isn't enough space for a 5000mah and it would take 2hours to fully charge
OnePlus is actually so underrated
Definitely.
gotta re-do the 15 plus battery test. You re the ONLY person on youtube who doesn't destroy the 15 pro max's battery by at least 15% with the 15 plus. Ure doing something wrong or received bad models. 15 plus is wild. Plus the stand by hours you do is very bad and unrealistic in real world scenarios.
iPhone’s battery optimization is outstanding, but with almost 1000 mAh difference, there was a big chance for 1+ to win it. Congrats to the new champ.
However, I’m really curious how would it go if you tested the battery against the iPhone 15 plus, which lasts even more than the Pro Max.
price difference tho
bigger display and higher resolution from one plus too which makes a huge difference. fair ply to iphone for giving a good fight in the latter stages
😭nice video but iPhone wasn’t on the latest version. That’s stock iOS 17 I think and it’s reused from your old vids with the 15PM. Try updating both the iPhones and run the test again. It will be a much different story

I'm sitting here shouting go go go one plus get it for team android . And to think it was all for a phone . Well done man great content
1:42 The reason why the IPhone outperformed its Android counterparts was because you used to use Adobe Rush which was more optimized for iOs compared to Androids.
What matters here is the gaming and exporting power as well as battery, and Oneplus takes the crown.
One of the most significant differences displays that we have ever seen between two phones on this test. The color and saturation is so different
Years ago i bought an iPhone and started to give me battery problems. I could replace it so i have to throw it away.
After i bought a One plus and i can replace the battery at any time.. the phone stay years with me.

I am glad Oneplus is getting better. The last android phone I had was the Oneplus 7 pro before I fully switched to the Apple ecosystem. Still wouldn’t buy a Oneplus but I will admit they are getting back to providing good performance to price ratio.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max has a battery capacity of less than about 4400mAh.
The OnePlus has a 20% bigger battery and it got only 3minutes more? How is a 2,5 year old iPhone more efficient than a brand new flagship android?
iPhone's awesomeness was long gone with iOS 15
Funny how both the OnePlus and Galaxy S24 have an 8th-Gen 3 chipset, but somehow the S24 managed to hild its own against the iPhone significantly better than the OnePlus. I mean, there was literally a 1sec differnece between the S24 and the iPhone
Just 1 thing: REMOVE 'FORWARD ASSAULT' FROM YOUR SPEEDTESTS (ESPECIALLY IPHONE VS ANDROIDS)
All that wasted lithium, just to beat Iphone's efficiency :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
taking more than 1 hour to fully charge is not so efficient
Dear, can you bring Honor Magic 6 Pro and try a battery with Samsung S24 Ultra and iPhone? Thank you.
Oneplus did an impressive job! The speed test was good too. Let's not forget 100 W charging!
I am over curved displays, so even without these tests, I would buy the iPhone over the OnePlus. I hope OnePlus copies Apple and moves back to a flat display, as Samsung did. That makes it less fragile, easier to put a screen protector on, fewer reflections, and nicer to feel.
Just imagine if the iPhone had 1000mah extra battery capacity this would be insane 🤯. We can only hope apple does this in the future 🙏🏻

Take home message is that both phones are great.
A long time ago I got the motivation to buy the Oneplus 3T after watching this performance test almost beat the iphone while being half the price...and now in 2024 I'm confident enough to get the Oneplus 12 after seeing it square up to an iphone that, once more, it's very well double it's price!
Did ya guys update the 13 Pro Max software? Battery could’ve gotten hit from software since when ya did the original video

And yet OP12 charges 3x faster than those iPhones inspite of that extra 1000mah 😂
Well done OnePlus. On paper those specs seemed truly flagship killing

The fact that 13 pro max was on top because you don't compare with other brands out there or other phones. You only test Samsung, Apple, Google and oneplus. Just test the new honor magic 6 pro or redmagic 9 pro. They will put every phone in dust
If the OnePlus was not in performance mode in this test abd still beat the iPhone, then it a real shame for the iPhone.
