      The difference with small subs you need a lot of power. Where as you can’t get a 12 on 500 watts and bump. To get the same outcome you need triple the power. Yeah and that means you need more stuff to see it work.

    • @matthewstorm5188
      @matthewstorm5188 6 месяцев назад

      @@provident8732 This is probably why nobody used small subs 30+ years ago. Back then, amps with even halfway decent power (ie 500W) didn’t come cheap. It was much cheaper and easier to just get larger subs so that you could make the most of the modest amps of the day. But with today’s inexpensive class D amps that can easily produce THOUSANDS of watts, the lower efficiency of smaller subs is less of a problem.

    8 inch subs have come such a long way in the past 10-20 years! In high school you rarely saw them as it was all 10's, 12's, and 15's. Now we have beefy little 6.5's and 8's that can pound. Great video again Parker.

    The meso 8" is a legendary sub. I love the way they look. I could definitely use it to save space in the car. Atm I'm running two Sundown Sav3 8"s in a ground shaker box tuned at 37hz per chamber. It's pretty violent for two 8"s. But if I won one of these I'd pull the SA 8"s out n run the meso for a bit considering we are going to the beach soon would be nice to be able to just swap em out n go from dual 8"s to a single 8" ect

    A subwoofer shop close to me builds custom subs. Their 8s are insane. I have 2 on a taramps 3k at 1ohm and they handle everything bit of power I throw at them. One of their employees threw 2 in a box he built and hit 149 db at a competition. 8s have come a long way.

    Hey Parker I like the new brands that you have been looking at you have helped me pick out the last few subwoofers I bought and I have looked at ct sounds a few times I have their stickers on my tuck because I have been on the website so often but never heard them tell now. Keep up your good work. Looking forward to seeing what you do next
