but inside after effect on my gigantic amount of folder,
I can't find where is my missing footage Mike
Can you please clarify the issue you are experiencing as I’m not sure I fully understand. Are you having trouble finding the files on your hard drive or unable to see which footage is missing?
help me,it says that my files are missing even thought i letteraly downloaded them and they keep deleting everytime (in ae) idk what to do
What do you mean they 'keep deleting every time'? You import assets to your AE project and while you are working, everything in the Project Panel just disappears? Please provide more details about what is going on.
I would also recommend watching this tutorial which shows how to collect all project files and save them in your main project folder:

@@MikeMurphyCo it keeps happening in One of my projects,It deletes my files and i have to put them again, but It does that every like 5 minutes,or everytime i want to see the preview
@@sigma69epic This seems like an isolated issue to your project as this is not typical behavior. Are you working off external hard drives? What version of AE are you using? Mac or PC?
I would started by purging all memory and cache in the Edit Menu. Quit AE. Shut down and restart computer and test again.
@@MikeMurphyCo thank you soso much!! question: will this make me lose my progect?
@@sigma69epic Save your project before quitting AE and restarting.
I have a problem similar to this, but not quite. After effects doesn’t say that my files are missing, but when i try and render my project Theres nothing but the colorful stripes. I’ve tried switching the format, rendering my footage in both AF and Media Encoder, deleting and importing files anew, but to no avail. I honestly don’t know what to do.
I would check each layer in all comps and pre-comps as it seems as though AE can not find some files when rendering. If you find a layer that is missing, replace it by right clicking on it. 👍
@@MikeMurphyCo thank you for the quick reply! 💙Gonna try this method out, hopefully it’ll work.
@@tatatamorAlso, if you Save the project and the Close and Quit After Effects. When you re-open the AE project file, it should warn you that files are missing and save you some time locating the missing files. 👍
@@MikeMurphyCo just figured it out! Thank you again, i really thought that there’s no saving this project! I can’t express how thankful i am, really!💙✨💙🤍✨💙🤍✨💙💙🤍✨
