That is the very line that brings me to this song every time!! Crazily I can’t find any other songs with a similar line - so this song here will always have a meaning for me.

You can really hear how good Rhianna's voice is on this version.. Singers like her and Pink etc often have their voice hidden amongst the beat and effects of their songs. Strip it down and they sound like this :-)

I feel like many people hate "Princess of China" only because Rihanna is in it, and many people don't like Rihanna's image. I'm not a Rihanna fan, but I won't doubt that she has very nice voice (particularly in this song). Obviously, Coldplay wouldn't have chose her if they didn't think she wasn't good enough for the song...

I don't like the original because it's really different from the usual Coldplay sound. I do love that they experiment with different genres, but they have some songs which are really close to mainstream pop trash for my taste (...don't get me started on the chainsmokers' one... or the big sean part of miracles, which annoys me to no end because the lyrics for that one were so good...)

Now THIS is more like it. In the regular version, their amazing voices are drowned with synthesizers and weird sounds. But this, this is incredible.

I love the original, but this is so much better! The vibe is so much more emotional, which fits perfectly with the lyrics, it genuinely is beautiful. Rihanna gets loads of crap of people saying all she does is prance around in her underwear, but this shows another level of hers. The two voices together just work :)
I doubt any of the members of Coldplay will ever see this but... I love you Coldplay!! Listening to your music gets me through hard times and inspires me to always help others in hopes that maybe I'll make as big of an impact in their lives as you've made in mine.

I really feel the emotions that Chris Martin & Rihanna are conveying in this acoustic version. I'm truly, deeply, completely hurt & devastated by the off & on boyfriend of one year who left me on Valentine's Day week. When someone deeply hurts you to the core, the deep hurt means that I really, truly loved that guy & cared for him.
