- My 2nd year at the Manchester Marathon, charging around the course supporting people I know. This year, I was supporting @TheWu @RunThePlanet and @harryruns1 who had different start times and different target times so it was a challenge. Absolutely perfect running conditions, at 8 degrees Celcius at 9am, dry, no wind and light cloud. Had a detailed plan to support all 3 runners and 9 potential watch points from 4 miles onwards. It was great to be part of the experience, such a supportive crowd all the way around the course, this is what makes Manchester one of the best marathons imo. Did 38 km charging around the course and got some great moving footage too. Well done to all who completed the marathon and kudos to Will, Matt and Harry who did really well:)

Good to see this from a supporters perspective and thanks for supporting!
Thanks so much for supporting Andy! Great video 🏃🏻♂️
You’re very welcome Harry, thanks😊
Andy, you put in a lot of effort to plan the logistics and support the runners, thank you for doing that. It's a near impossible task to bike around and see the 3 runners at each of the check points, but you did well! and yeah, the woman crossing in the middle of the runners was crazy.
Thanks Reto, I was just disappointed after all the planning, last year it worked quite well but I was only tracking 2 runners both at similar paces. Next time I’d cut down the amount of watch points🤔
That was awesome to see from the spectator side of things. Thanks Andy. I was around for a very long time as I was speaking to many people so sorry I missed you.
Thanks Will, it felt pretty special to ride alongside the athletes in the wider parts of the course😊Shane we didn’t finally meet, so many people in that recovery zone though😩
This is amazing. I don't think I've ever put so much effort into actually running a marathon. Impressive stuff 😊
Thanks Craig, it’s a shame it didn’t work out the way I hoped, I think the differing paces and start times made it difficult😕
I love supporting at races. That woman that ran across the road 😮 Oh my days
It’s great, especially if you can explore the whole course👌And that lady, talk about reckless😮
That woman was very close to causing a serious accident!
That was a fantastic video and some fantastic support out on the course, I couldn’t help but notice, were you not tracking them on the app too 😅 that could of been good to solidify the logistics with guesswork? Great video as always, highly enjoyed and waiting for the next already ☺️🔥
Thanks Both, I did check out the app but it wasn’t like Brighton, where I tracked you both live, there were just 3/4 markers, 10K, 21K, 30K and finish so I just used my pace calculations based on the guys’ estimated finish times. That worked well last year so I was confident but it didn’t work out🙁
@@AndyCliffMTByou were still great support regardless so I’d be pleased with your efforts 🎉😊 it was still a great video 🔥🔥
Well done Andy, cracking coverage. You planned alot 😮😮 For the first half I was tracking the overly fast 3:15 pacer. There's a guy with the tight grey Nike shorts who I ran with for a while, so you wouldn't have been far away from me. But hey you got 2 out of 3 of so that's good !! 😂
Thanks Matt, I went through the footage based on your start time and added up your 6 and 10K splits but still couldn’t see you😤I saw two 3:15 pacers come through at the 4 mile marker but not you, mind you it was a tight knit pack😊
@@AndyCliffMTB was with the 2nd group though they kept merging and separating. I kept with them to the half way mark but soon after that they left. Pacer must have finished sub3hr10
@@RunThePlanet I think I’ll look again at the footage, runners were tightly packed around the pacers though😊
