I think GPB said it best when he said something along the lines of "you're the best player in America and possibly the world". Was so satisfying watching you absolutely kill it. Have a feeling your channel is gonna blow up soon. Keep doing you beast.
20:35 Syun tried to use bombs in this part, and couldn't however he tried due to the specially crafted shape of the walled-off area! That's how you do anti-cheese -- completely invisible yet bulletproof!
I've been watching ever since Thabeast won mario maker 2 coliseum's versus tournament. I had never heard of him before! Hopefully a lot more people recognize thabeast's talent now that he was the mvp of agdq2020!!
Mario Maker MVP for sure. However, I was most impressed by Oatsngoats in his Super Metroid Impossible run. Super Metroid speedruns are batshit insane on the original version of the game. Just.... wow
@@Yewtewba Super Metroid has tight controls, while SMM is very slippery. So I believe the former will always look better speedrunning. I imagine something like Hollow Knight would look amazing in a speedrun too.
I recently subbed to you on youtube...and I have to say I am happy I did. You seem to be very level headed. And at the same time, I found it interesting that you said you were nervous. I'm glad you played with the best and played well. Even Poo recently said he thinks you are better than him in his recent video (Not to say he isn't amazing).
This was such a hype race, and I was cheering ok boom boom, but I recall you getting to that dry bones and dying right away, and you broke my heart. I saw that you had just got the checkpoint and carl died, and then you just jumped into the lava. :( :( Ultimately it was an amazing race though.
you played through the co-op level with all of them. They kept dying over and over, and having to switch, while you basically carried it by yourself. lol. i remember that specifically and thought it was hilarious.
Yoo i was rooting for you so hard man, it was so hype watching you progress some of the levels and then CLUTCH the heck ( i know this is a family friendly channel :P ) out of some other parts. I totally feel the nervousness, playing on stage in tournaments/showcases is SO hard and i have been shaking more than i'd like to admit, so don't feel bad about it at all! I think it just shows how much you care about showing off what you're capable of, which as we all know is absolutely bonkers. All in all your performance was the highlight of the final day of AGDQ, tied with the amazing SMI run. You are awesome!
It must be pretty gratifying to prove yourself to be at the top of the heap, amongst literal gods of the game... You should be forced to play one-handed just to keep things fair, Beast!!
It didn't show that you were nervous, but even if it did who cares? I think most people would be pretty nervous to compete in front of such a big audience. Anyway, you owned those levels. You and Carl had some really clutch moments. Congratulations of such an awesome achievement.
Amid ongoing criticism for its lack of diversity, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced its 2020 inductees this week. Whitney Houston was the only woman selected.
It's not exactly men's fault that women make less rock music now is it? Jesus. Many female artists in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame aren't exactly even rock. But they're put there for what? Equality? Diversity? It's like saying where's all the white people in Hip Hop Hall of Fame; wow much racism!!
Just pointing out that this says nothing about race, its specially referring to gender. and there are plenty of women in rock and roll history that would be a good choice. www.npr.org/2020/01/15/796717978/41-women-who-should-be-in-the-rock-roll-hall-of-fame

He's such a good guy he didn't have to give a public compliment like that to the whole AGDQ but he went out of his way to say it.
@@chrism45 poo is an absolute class act. Love that dude
The best American player I know definitely, although there are a few competitors for worldwide, but if not the best worldwide he's definitely close.

Glad to see you at GDQ hopefully you keep going if they bring it back again. SMM races are among the best to watch of the event hands down.
30:17 "I think I got to the 2nd checkpoint and died and then Carl took over, and..."
And the rest is history :-))
Was so cool to hear the crowd chanting beast beast beast!

37:50 when playing this for the first time, I beat it by getting in the car half way and just driving to the pipe. Worked out fine too haha
I played the plAnts one by royalnobod, I thought I was done for in the part with the conveyors and the sideways springs
A wonderful race, must have been great hearing the crowd chant your name !!

All the best to you :)
You played well and amazed us
Definitely MVP of the whole race. Also you looked like you got a little buff during the interview segment
Well done at AGDQ. You played well
Hey thab, did you get the chance just to hang out with the other streamers (Barb, poo, Aura, etc) just to socialize or whatever?
You bring joy to my afternoon poop
You performedvery well good for you.
I was hoping you'd make this vid!!
Get better soon beast
Dude you must be sore from carrying the team :D
Man, I fell of that ending thwomp 20 times in Fails level. I was pretty salty about it. lol. Luckily, I finally got it, but I didn't like the ending.
You were Clutch when needed to be props on a great performance...You looked more nervous in post race interview
You was so servous! We know your skills! Amazing! But if you need 10 mins for a level I would needed 2 years to be real....
