So sad to see the damage to such a beautiful Cemetery. Thank you Matt for sharing your explore. Love these old ones.
Keeping track of you Matt and hope to see you when the weather is better out your way. Stay warm and dry buddy!!!
Most cemeteries are perpetual care. Meaning the graves will be cared for a long long time. In perpetuity.
That is a huge cemetery! Really loved the circle of stones of that particular family. Here in the West where I live, Perpetual Care means the Cemetery owners maintain the grounds such as mowing, watering, headstone repair and removal of all flowers and decorations all year long. Those cemeteries that do not have Perpetual care are left to the family. Those are sadly in ruin and can be quite interesting as you have free reign to do whatever you want to honor your loved ones resting place. Great video. Thanks, Matt!
Hi Matt. 0.37 small mausoleum; maybe there is no family but 2/4 persons left. Also cheaper to build, not as elaborate as other ones in the cemetery.Nice floral borders as decoration 1.57 definitely a large cemetery, so lots to see and explore. 3.09 amazing that this structure still stands, you might expect to fall apart over a period of time. 5.10 definitely a tall momument, seems like there is hardly any damage to it.Enjoyed the rerun Matt, thanks for sharing.
Scott Price in the 1900 census is a brick mason. Apparently a successful one!
Really cool, thank you Matt🪦
this cemetery is very unique. the mausoleum in the hill was very cool!
Wow thank you for sharing what you see on your ways.
I'm so glad you re-posted this vid! I enjoyed it just as much the second time, THANK YOU! : )

@@539Productions You're very welcome 👌👍
This is awesome Matt ! Thanks 😊
Wow my jaw dropped when I saw the tomb with the last name Price! My mother’s maiden name was Price! I’m a genealogy buff so this was a nice surprise! I’m from south Louisiana and it doesn’t look like you’re anywhere near there.
I went to the MIstory channel but the last time a video was posted was 2 years ago. I hasn't been active in a while.
I actually forgot all about that channel! I miss the live streams
@@brendakrieger7000 I miss the live streams also

Thank you! You need to make a trip over to Indiana sometime and I'll show you around.
do you have a YT channel Grave visitations ?. Looking at your name you might have one.
@@franciscavanraalte7483 yes I have a cemetery channel
The police or private security should be patrolling there regularly to deter vandalism.
Security is probably sleeping somewhere.
Lighting and proper gates might keep unwanted ATVs from coming in. A police presence might help, too.
Enjoyed the video especially the glances inside the mausoleum!
I read your information for your video, but I didn't see anything regarding the background music that you used throughout the video. Can you tell me the source of that music and/or the artists? Thanks
the best way to maintain crypts etc is for following generations to use the crypt as well.....that way their burials will be cheaper as the crypt is already there....
Perpetual Care Trust accounts for the continuing maintenance of the cemetery are often required by law. An initial fund capitalized with the beginning of the cemetery's operation is added to by 10% of each grave purchase. Earnings from these funds are used to provide perpetual care. .
Mowers sling rocks and stuff.
Perpetual care means the cemetery is responsible for taking care of it
Interesting finds.
Perpetual care means that they'll be taking care for that particular mausoleum perpetually.....for as long as the cemetery remains viable...
No one is really taking care of that cemetery! Looks like all they do is cut the grass! It also looks very old ?
Perpetual care is paid by the family to the cemetery for forever care of their plot.
Thanks, Anne! Seems like some places don't honor the contract after ownership has passed hands. What do you think?
@@539Productions Nope! people are to lazy or over whelmed with the work.
Perpetual Care. The family has paid for that plot to be taken care of through the cemetery
Red headed woodpecker to be exact....
I means that someone will cut the grass & take care of the cemetery forever.
It was a specific plan purchased by the family though. Not associated with regular cemetery maintenance.
You would have payed for perpetual care by cemetery
So, where's the unsealed mausoleum?
The one in the thumbnail with the big steel door that rusted off
