TRIP REPORT | First Time on Delta A350! | Atlanta to Paris CDG | DELTA Airbus A350-900

- Delta Airlines Trip Report flying from Atlanta to Paris Charles de Gaulle onboard one of the Delta Airbus A350-900 on a really beautiful night and morning over the US, the Atlantic, and western Europe.
A really comfortable flight with Delta from Atlanta to Paris on a brand-new Delta A350. The A350 is an amazing plane. Together with the Boeing 787 will rule the long-haul routes for the next 15-20 years. The Delta one is really nice, featuring the new seats and cabin illumination. Also, before starting the flight, we enjoyed an amazing planespotting session. It was perfect to see so many different airplane models!
The route was really nice as well: after an amazing night takeoff from Atlanta airport, we flew over Washington, New York, and Boston, just before entering the Atlantic. After 3-4 hours over the ocean, the Sunrise started. It was just amazing, magical. The plane was in complete silence, everyone was sleeping. Everyone except OnBoardHD, of course! :)
The service, however, was probably the worst I have ever seen on a plane: I took the chicken option for dinner and it was just impossible to eat. It was an extremely artificial non-taste piece of something that pretended to be chicken, over something that pretended to be vegetables. Extremely disappointed with Delta on that. A really poor service.
Just before descent, they distributed a very small breakfast that was better than the dinner. The fruit, although it was a very reduced portion, was tasty and looked fresh. The sandwich wasn't bad and the coffee tasted surprisingly good.
An especial mention as well for the landing and the different airlines we saw during taxi at Charles de Gaulle airport. Having the Concorde so close to us was an amazing experience. We could see lots of different airlines before reaching our gate, including Emirates, Kuwait Airways, Air Austral, Qatar Airways, Air Mauritius, Air Canada, Ethiopian... The perfect taxi for an AvGeek!

My mom and I flew with Delta Airlines back in 2019. I flew on their A350 and it was a nice experience onboard. Unfortunately, the A350 flight from Seattle to Tokyo was delayed for more than 3 hours due to technical issues on that aircraft. Because of that flight delay, we missed our Delta flight to Manila which left us no choice but to rebook an alternate flight to Manila with All Nippon Airways.

The thing i like most about your videos over some others is you usually fly coach aft of the wing. You also show the flap movemnts. Another great video.
That is why Amanda and i always hit a fast food joint before boaring to grab a burger or slice of pizza to take on board. Just in case the inflight meal is no bueno. That said we usually chose Delta for international travel. We have flown Air Europa once (which i found them very good). But we tend to stick with Delta as they seem very consistent.

We flew Delta on the exact same route!! We landed and got to our hotel the day France won the World Cup a few years ago. When we booked it we said wouldn't it be a kick if they won!!! It was magical!!! I remember the food being pretty good on both trips. I tend to always get the vegetarian choice because I tend to not like the meat choice !! It tastes like plastic. Your video had beautiful shots of the sunrise and the airports. I don't fly often so I love to watch these.

I've flew on these before, it's a dream come true! (esspecially on a nonstop 16 hour flight)
Buen vídeo, lastima que no se haya podido disfrutar de grandes vistas pero quizás lo que mas me ha impresionado es lo grande que es el Aeropuerto de Atlanta y también ya voy aprendiendo las diferencias entre los modelos de aviones que he visto y cómo curiosidad me ha llamado mucho la atención en Atlanta el baño de caballeros que estuviese rotulado en español pensé que solo habría las indicaciones en ingles . Lastima que en la aproximación a Paris estuviera nublado y con mal tiempo. Un cordial saludo y buen fin de semana.

When I fly internationally, I always try to fly the national airline of the country I am visiting. They generally have a better onboard experience than US based airlines.
I flew the opposite flight back in october, on Air France. Had 3 seats to myself, so got about 2.5 hours of sleep over the Atlantic after lunch.
I've read and seen in other videos that the catering service is much better in Air France =/

I flew this a350 from dtw to ams ( round trip ) in premium select. During normal times, premium select gets almost delta one food. Instead we got economy food which made my stomach feel on fire. Seat was amazing though
For what I've read, Delta has just reinstated the food service they used to have before the pandemic from the 1st of April.
I hope you've enjoyed this Trip Report! Lots of US flights are coming in the next weeks/months! Finally, after all the restrictions and bans for EU travellers, I was able to fly to the US as planned 2 years ago :))

As a passenger I would chose to fly on A350's only if possible until Airbus comes up with something even better.

uff exclente trip que buena desicion sobre no comer ese tipo de comida que tenga sabores extraños aveces son demasiados conservantes que les colocan a ese tipo de alimentos y estos suelen dañarse con mucha facilidad , pero en si delta airlines es una buena aerolinea gracias por ese trip saludos

Your food story reminded me about my own airplane food story. I was ten but knew already that my taste buds work less on flight altitudes. But I was determined to be open and enjoy the foreign and airplane food. But no, couldn't even hold it in my mouth for a few seconds, let alone swallow a bite. 😆
haha This was the first time I couldn't eat airplane food in more than 800 flight. I will consider it as an exception for now :)

It waa quite easy to be honest. Also, at the time we were there, there were not a lot of pax... but we found it very easy to navigate.
It took me some time to watch tis video, because jealousy got the better of me. But there are very few things to rival the beauty of a sunrise viewed from a plane! Nice views of those American cities as well!

Lamento mucho lo que te pasó con la cena, es bien extraño tratandose de una aerolínea tan prestigiosa como lo es Delta Airlines; afortunadamente el desayuno fue otro cuento totalmente diferente.

That chicken did look awful! Other than that this looked like a really nice flight. The landing and taxiing to the gate was filmed superbly.... and that was some good planespotting!! I have a family member that lives in the Atlanta area and although I've flown there many times, I just hadn't really noticed how huge ATL is until your Delta takeoff. I cannot wait to finally fly get back to Europe (Italy) this Summer as it seems much longer than these past few years. Thank you for your travels and videos☆☆☆
