    Use to do oil changes in my 2014 v6 mustang but now I got a 2021 rt, seemed easier then the v6 😂 but after the oil change is done I just reset the oil life gauge correct.

      No, nothing like that. Take the plug out and put it right back in. Enjoy your new car! Thanks for watching!

    Why did I always think changing oil was so complicated man let me start doing this shit myself

    • @3DayWeekend

      Yeah, it's really not that bad. Just be sure there are no leaks so you don't have a major problem on your hands! Thanks for watching!

    I would make one recommendation……. especially since you have a lift……
    When removing the lower splash shield…leave off….hear me out…. When you tighten the drain plug and new filter.. lower the vehicle and start engine….
    Maybe engine design tolerances are better now a days but I normally leave engine running for about five minutes….to check for leaks. However slight the leak may be…better to find out the drain plug or filter was not tight now instead of during regular driving. Yes may take a few more minutes on the oil change but better than later when damage could already be done. Just a thought.
    Good to know it is easy to do the OLF…good to see HEMI didn’t cave to the environmentalists and still uses traditional canister type oil filters.

      That's a very good recommendation! I can definitely see that preventing issues "down the road"! Thanks for the suggestion, and thanks for watching!

      That's an Oil Filter Tool (or Oil Filter Wrench). They are available at Walmart in the automotive section.

      Yes far better 4 10s. If everyone did it think how much less mileage, pollution, the industry world wide would be.

    Id get rid of that catch can,,, just put one of those breather filters on the crankcase outlet tube. You dont need to be pulling a vacuum on the bottom end of your motor.

    • @3DayWeekend
      @3DayWeekend  Год назад

      He always puts a catch can on his cars. I never have, but have considered it after seeing how much oil is caught by that catch can!

    • @cmscms123456
      @cmscms123456 Год назад +1

      @@3DayWeekend The bottom end of your motor generates about 3-5 pounds of pressure that needs to be vented, the vacuum that is pulled through the PCV system is about 15lbs or more.. yea, you're going to suck up a lot of oil. Block the vacuum and vent the crank case through a down draft tube

    I have a 2022 dodge charger Daytona rt and the engine oil cap says SE OW 20 but a lot of people say 5w20 is better ? Can I use se 0w20?

    • @3DayWeekend
      @3DayWeekend  11 месяцев назад +2

      If your cap says 0W20, then that's what I would use. Your manual should have a section about oil viscosity and might tell you to use slightly different viscosity for different climate/temperatures, but 0W20 full synthetic will likely cover everything from freezing to very hot.

    I have a 2023 Dodge Gallenger RT with an oil volume of 0w20. Keep it up until I heard Hawaii say change the oil to 5w30 because you are from the Middle East. What is the solution?

    • @3DayWeekend
      @3DayWeekend  2 месяца назад

      You should verify in your owner's manual, but 0w20 full synthetic was recommended for all climates for this particular Charger.

    • @3DayWeekend
      @3DayWeekend  Месяц назад

      Nothing fancy - just a regular metric socket set will have what you need. The only other tool you may want is called "oil filter pliers", which is only needed if the old filter is stuck on there pretty snug. Do a Google search for that phrase and you'll see what they look like. All of those tools are available at Walmart or Harbor Freight. Hope that helps!

    This is such a joke trying to find the factory replacement filter for my 2021 charger r/t 5.7. Every site has a different number and says the number from the last site won’t fit. 4892339be. 04884899ab. 04884899ac.4892339be again. Lastly 5038041AA is said to be compatible but the higher quality srt version. This is crazy!

    • @3DayWeekend
      @3DayWeekend  7 месяцев назад

      Geeze. We just went down to Walmart and got the one in their little computer guide! Typically the SRT ones are a little bigger and have a higher flow rate so if it would fit, I'd have no problem running that. Hope you were ablet to find the right filter! Thanks for watching!
