    It's impressive how there is not a single coupe owner anywhere with instructions on how to remove the A-pillar trim.

    Beautiful, beautiful Camaro! I've got a ridiculously clean 98 z28 ls6 t56 lots of head work super aggressive cam suspension etc. probably hit it with 100 shot this season. I'm making it a street/strip car 100% nhra legal. I feel kinda bad hot rodding it. But I'm also doing it the right way. Partial restoration where it's needed. Anyway very clean car. Thanks for sharing

    Absolutely beautiful car! I have a 95 Z28, and The padding under my dash looks a lot cheaper than the padding you had under yours. Mine looks like cheap foam furniture stuffing. Wonder why that is, other than Chevy being cheap.

      Thank you, yes they did a lot to cheap in these cars up as they went lol.

      Are you sure it wasn't just an overlay dash cover? Replacement dash pads are way more expensive

    • @JesseSeg84
      @JesseSeg84 9 месяцев назад

      @@tomf481 at that price it was defenitly a pad overlay that requires you to glue to your old broken cracked dash

      @@JesseSeg84 no..its may 2024...got mine on eBay 85.00....not an overlay, just have to use old padding

    3rd generations were really bad for cracking too. I have a 1991 Trans Am and I've probably been through about 4 or 5 different dash pads because they always crack.

    You were able to put your new dash on without removing the old insulation? I had to remove mine else it wasn't going to go in

    • @TheCowboyinmej87
      @TheCowboyinmej87  3 года назад

      Yeah, I pretty much smashed the old insulation down just for more sound detonating material and then I put that on top carefully

    I just bought a new GM dash. Cost about $650 with shipping. Is it worth reinforcing the underside with fiberglass and fiberglass tape when you install a new one?

    • @TheCowboyinmej87
      @TheCowboyinmej87  2 года назад

      Honestly I didn't do any of that and I probably wouldn't because it'll still allow it to flex as need be. I did leave the previous - foam underneath of it though and just stuck this one on top for a tighter fit

    Buying a dash cover will prevent you from having a cracked dash. My dashboard still looks brand new after 27 years outside in the sun.

      Depends on where you live. I've had a Dashmat since day 1 with my 2000 Z28. Except for the last 5 years (during which I used a car cover) it was always in the garage. My dash cover is now cracked. I live in Arizona where outside Summer temps of 120 are not rare.

      Keep a good, reflective sun shade in the window and treatment on the dash.. one that has good UV inhibitors. Bought by '97 new and dash was perfect when I sold it in '22.

  • @gabakusa

    can you just 3d print it instead? it should be way more economical

      3D printing something that size would be far from low cost.

    ...as we call it, the "potato chip" panel... hope u have better luck than some folks... last look they sell for around $700 bucks! ...and they Will CRACK Again! ...& all to soon... i hate to say it, but u might a well light a stack of hundred dollar bills on fire... it does look fantastic though... even if only for a short time... i went with the lethal interiors cover myself, only covers the potato chip, not the whole dash, & had i realized just how much aweful "glare" it cut out, from sunlight as well as night lights, i would have bought it years ago even if my "potato chip" wasnt cracked... good luck with it man, but i aint droppin big money on another cheaply made piece of general motors plastics ...maybe we need to find a foreign car company to make us f-body lovers a replacement?!? ...lord knows american car companies plastics are absolute garbage!! ...alright, have a good one dude
