I did mine in the 97 RS a few years ago. It was $300, came out of a garage kept 60,000 mile car. Nice car, I hope to have my daughter's new 99 firehawk home soon.
Thank you for the video, I was worried about the clip location on the side plastic pieces, and didnt want to break them. I was able to see them in your video. Take care. I know how to fix your cracks in the door panel so they are invisable if you want to know how. I was able to do it on mine. First of all release the staples that hold the rubber window molding to the door panel whether your panels are cracked or not. When the rubber gets hot it expands and causes pressure on the plastic, after years of expansion and contraction the crack starts. By removing the staples, the expansion can occur without placing any pressure on the plastic door panel. That is the cause of the cracks. You only need to remove the one or two next to the end of door, past where the crack has formed. I did it to mine about 10 years ago, and the slight crack that had started on the drivers door, has not gotten any worse. I was able to fix the passenger door that cracked almost all the way thru. The trick is get some metal lattice at home depot, cut a section to go behind the door panel and extend from one side of crack to other. I did about 2 x 7 inch piece. I lined up the crack and put a very small drop of super glue on the crack from inside of the door so it would not be seen from outside to temporarily hold the crack together. Its very weak so dont put any pressure on it. Its also helpful to plan how you are going to lay the door panel down so there is no pressure on the crack. I used some towels and a board to support it underneath. Once you have the panel glued and layed down, place the metal lattice, I bent mine so it would so it would follow the curve of the plastic and sit pretty flush against the back of the panel. Evenly space it across the crack. Get some bonding glue like JB weld, but make sure it is the kind that does NOT set up to being solid hard. You want the type that remains a bit flexible to give and take with expansion and contraction of the plastic, or it will eventually break the bond. Do not put the glue directly on the crack, you can be close but not on it because it may soak thru and show on the outside. I did this about 10 years ago and mine has held since then. I live in a hot area that temperatures reach over 100 F. I was going to make a video about it, but it hadnt stood the test of time, and it was an experiment. But I am proud to say it has worked this long, and you still cant see where the crack was, unless you really look for it.
I put an ABS overlay on mine, and when I was removing the weights the next day (to hold it down so the silicone could cure), I dropped one on the dash above the steering wheel and cracked it, lmao. The overlay ended up warping from the Florida sun, so I just ended up putting my carpet back over the whole thing. Some day I would like to fix that crack and also attach studs to the ABS overlay and just replace the entire dash pad with that, since the ABS plastic is much more durable. Any OEM pad will eventually turn to candy and shatter again anyway.
Fixing up my grandfather‘s 93 Trans Am this video helped a lot thank you nobody I knew knew how to change the dash and the only person I know to ever do one was my grandfather and when he did it he busted the fucking windshield out to do it😂😂😂
Your trans am looks great.. I where did you purchase the dashboard? I have a 94 Pontiac Trans am that I'm restoring. I have the front windshield out of mine cause it's getting prepped for a brand new paint job.. I'm replacing the entire dash panel and the upper dash pad..
I didn't realize how thin and flimsy those pads are. And $300 for a used one ? Damn LOL I removed the pad on my IROC to remove the speakers and it was thick and made well.
Excellent video! Beautiful bird! Gotta ask what type of seats an where can I get a set? Lastly low profile seats make it easier to get in an out of or harder? 🍻 subscribed
Dash pads are so expensive these days to replace. I think I bought one for an older F body in 2012-2013 for around 300. Last I looked I saw them going for 500-600 new on eBay!
I LIVE IN ATLANTIC BEACH NORTH CAROLINA I GOT A ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE DASHBOARDS AND IT'S NOT BUSTED THIS IS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME THING AS YOU GOT IF YOU WANT IT
when i replaced mine i took off those clips they are unnecessary and useless. pretty much makes it impossible to take a good dash pad out once it is clipped back into place
On my car my dash is still good but wanted to get it wrapped so it would be like brand new love to carbon fiber it. No one wants to touch it because of the Airbag. Maybe let us all know what you did. Thanks... I even offered to pull it out of the car but people are scared to touch it.
The vids are always awesome as long as they have a Gen 4 Trans Am in them. Ass soon as you switch cars, the channel will die. Just like Kenny Slides. Sorry, thats just how it goes. So no choice but to keep the trans am.
I have the same problem😔 (Pontiac Firebird V6/1994) Now I can solve the problem.☺ Thank you for the video.👍Greetings from Austria

Excellent job!

I have a 95 z28. I have a buzz in the dash I believe caused by sonic induced vibration.
Anybody ever Conquer this issue?
Nice job & very informative.I have to hunt one down for my 98 camaro.
Your car is gorgeous
I would also like to know how you did the front splitter. Especially the stainless braces. It’s looks great. I enjoy your videos.

Hands down best f body car ever made

corbeau and yiou can get them on there website
Where'd you get your white shift knob? 👀
I had to do this with a right hand drive 98 Formula... imagine what a pandora's box that is... (still in pieces now)
What kind of seats do you have and where did you buy them. Thanks
Hi question what brand are them rims do you need spacers also how much do they cost
Something about Pontiacs in red or black!
Nice engineer all hard plastic vs the sun shine
Where did you find an OEM replacement, and how much did it cost you? I have a '94 25th and my crash pad is cracked and broken, too.
we got it from a guy we meet will buying a car he had all type of 4th gen parts
great video..hey any idea how to get the A/C vents out and replaced?
I don’t I’m sorry.

Gotta be careful with the ones on eBay as there is a lot of repos that are not factory original
Beautiful fucking car my guy
Thank you.
Where you get the dash pad? Thanks
Oh yeah
I LIVE IN ATLANTIC BEACH NORTH CAROLINA I GOT A ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE DASHBOARDS AND IT'S NOT BUSTED THIS IS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME THING AS YOU GOT IF YOU WANT IT
I’ve been looking for a splitter like that on the front of ur ride. What brand is it and the ones under the side skirts?
Where did you get the front splitter and body under skirt from? ...not sure if I missed the answer.
What kinda seat belts do u have
We're did u get it?
Are those deep dish c5 wheels? What size? Sweet car
18in
So the dash pad out of a Camaro fits Pontiacs Firebirds, Trans Ams?. What about side mirrors?. I bought a 99 Firebird. This helps. Thanks.
yes they are all the same. on the 4th gen's
Buy a small compass to cover it up.
Where did you buy the dash pad and the seats
Seriously where do you buy the dash board?? 😭 my Camaro’s dash is shattered. I had no choice but to throw is away
You have same colour of grey is that “medium grey?” Colour code
when i replaced mine i took off those clips they are unnecessary and useless. pretty much makes it impossible to take a good dash pad out once it is clipped back into place
What holds it in then? Velcro?
Is it possible to remove a good dash pad without cracking it?
Yes just have to be very careful.
Where did you get the new one at ?
NeK from a guy on Facebook market. You can buy them from HAWKS MOTORSPORTS.
@@AllTimePerformance got our at Hawks also..haven't tempted to put it in yet - not looking forward to it..

The upper dash bad has nothing to do with air bag
Pontiac really cheaped out on the 4th gen. It's a shame...
GM cheaps out on everything.
How much horsepower is your car pushing
not sure it shouldn't be much over factory
Where did u get those seats from??!!!?
King Savage corbeau.com
Why not get the T tops out of the way, take them out till you’re done
Thats the same color and year I have
Where does one find a new dash pad!?
It’s hard to find f body dash with out paying a arm and leg
Turbo
I never understand the fn carpet people put on the dash!!! And if you keep carpet on why worry about the crack
😉...thes may car cinc 20 years
The vids are always awesome as long as they have a Gen 4 Trans Am in them. Ass soon as you switch cars, the channel will die. Just like Kenny Slides. Sorry, thats just how it goes. So no choice but to keep the trans am.
the car has been sold for a good min but we have a 3gen Camaro to
Why not just remove the tops ? Great job.
Anyways car looks sweet. I would personally put bondo to stop further cracks and another set of gauges.
The gauge pod is uglier than the damaged dash.
Took longer to find the screwdriver than to replace the dash pad 🤣
That car was not that well taken care of, its its an average example of those cars.
GM and Dodge just can't make a dash that doesn't crack
Just put MAGA decal over that dash rip. Done.
LOL Good Idea!!
man, we need to keep that going..we are screwed the next 4yrs
Make Firebirds great again 😂
Where did you get the dash pad ?
ugh..
please don't mix politics and muscle cars you fuckin boomers 🙄
Get your dash now alcantara looks real good
