Do you look at Battery Heath Regularly? Thanks for watching, it is always appreciated.
Very and mines at 96% after 14 months which is decent still monitoring my battery though as something seems a bit off (iPhone 12)
I’ll only look at it if my device is getting older and notice my screen on time being lower.
question aaron I have changed nothing no iOS update in the past few days or anything but if I check in my battery it only tells me the last 2 days of battery life not 10
I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max since September 29th 2021 and my battery health ia at 96%
I look every day and today it just dropped to 97% from 98% in my iPhone X
Here’s some advice: just enjoy your phone and if you need a new battery at a later date you can either upgrade or replace the battery.
Say it louder lol 🎯😆
In my case I care for it because in my country it is really expensive to replace the battery, it takes days to get it done and the batteries are probably fake.
So when your battery loses an hour of its life you’ll replace it?? Or would u do it at 30 minutes? Or would you wait till 2 hours??
What about I want my phone battery to last as long as possible so it doesn’t die earlier during daily use??
I end up enjoying my phone MORE than you! A charge lasts longer, and I’m using it while you’re busy getting it repaired 😂
Just in USA or Europe… because in Latin American it costs a lot! It’s super overpriced so that doesn’t work for us!!!! Apple is a bullshit that I will never buy again!
Same! If your current iphone battery have gone so bad then just upgrade to the latest iphone. I do it all the time. Your phone even without caring about the battery will last you 2 to 3 years anyway.
There are more important things in life than worrying about the battery "life" or "health" of a PHONE. Use it, charge it and replace if necessary. Enjoy life ✌️
Exactly 😊😊
I used to be paranoid but now I just enjoy my phone

Well ..nothing last forever ..u use it , charge it ..
It's the electronic stuff ..replace it if necessary ..enjoy life ..why worry about the battery ?
After a few years , the battery life % decreased , that's normal, use it , it has to get old ..like us .. haha .

Excellent content as always. You keep my passion for technology alive.
With all your battery health videos adjustment’s I saved so much battery on my iPhone 12 Pro Max I get a staggering 18 hours on my phone before it reaches 3 percent, and I’m a heavy user too! Thankyou so much
I took my 6S Plus in last year. Battery was on 76%, so put a new battery in and my older brother loves it now. Like a new iPhone and still got iOS 15 too 🙂 Just the best iPhone I’ve ever bought and I mean that. No other iPhone has ever impressed me like the 6S Plus did.
Getting SE soon because of that reason. Man I loved my 6, 6s, 7! But damn so much hate on the 6 design, i loveit more than the 7 or 8 tbh... The gray metal
@@anthonysuhart8530 I agree about the design too 👍🏻 Am getting fed up of the weight as well now with every new iPhone.
@@Richard_Barnes It surprises me how much Apple obsesses over the weight of their laptops while having the courage to make a phone that weighs nearly a pound. Even my Galaxy S8+ is unnecessarily heavy compared to my Moto G5S plus (a bit lighter than the 6S+).
Thank you so much for making this video I really hope that when I get my battery changed this video will help me and my family understand battery health integration
Thank you so much for clearing this one for all, i get these questions too, now i am going to link this video to every iphone battery question.
Thanks…I enjoyed your video. I check Battery Health infrequently. Blessings on your day.
Thanks for the vid and my battery Heath is 100% I look at my battery health quite a lot
Great awesome video Aaron!!!🔥🔥🔥🙂!!!.My battery health is 82% on my Xs which I got in 2019!!.Anyway I love your explanations and all the information you give!!!🔥🔥🔥!!.Thanks so much Aaron, keep it up!!!🙂!!!.
Absolutely right advise. Not to worry about battery.
Good morning from Montana….I appreciate your update on charging of iPhone…I charge my iPhone 13 mini as you do with no issues. I’m the dude that had the 5s for 7 years and upgraded to the 6s for a few years afterwards and now the 13 mini. Still using lightening connection with apple’s 5w charging brick at night and a 20w brick from Anker with wireless charging for those rare times I need to top off. For me, I charge the mini 13 at night when I go to bed and forget about it….I have no issues with the phone getting hot or over heating. The only issue I had with charging was the first week I received the phone from T-Mobile…. Was getting a pop up message that the phone was not charging, due to moisture…which was weird, since it was never exposed to any kind of water/moisture environment… so I wireless charged it for about month at night….but now have gone to using my lightening connector again …because of the stand I made to hold phone up right. All is good….again, thank you for taking the time to produce these videos….have a great day from Montana.
Had iPhone X and didn't know about that kind of charging side at this point (i just charged) and in 4 years it was like 82-84% battery health. But lately have heard about that keep it 100% as well. If it's not over charing and it's all about cycles, then it's great to maintain 100% and do small charges
Great video Aaron found this very helpful have a good weekend mate
Thanks for this. I’ve just upgraded from 7 to XS, so it was very timely.
Also, thanks very much for all the wallpapers. Love today’s and have my favourites in a folder so I can swap and change.
Keep up the good work!
Extremely helpful, THANK YOU 🏆
Hey Aaron, it was really nice to have a video from you on battery health. There are lot of myths going around about how to charge the iPhone and certainly your video has been an ideal solution to all those myths. You’re definitely doing a great job and love to see more.
@Lee Eun-yoo why would he reply? He has hundreds of thousands of subscribers you goon. How selfish are you? Excepting this hard working man to reply to YOUR comment?!? You think YOU’RE that special?!? Get out of here and go make your own channel you selfish monster.
I reply a lot, but with thousands of comments a day it's hard to reply to all of them.
I have a few videos on battery health already. The reality is the iPhone manages it for you so you don't have to despite what some others say.
Thank you for this video. I’ve been curious about this. I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max and April will be a year that I have had it. When I use mag safe charging it seems to get really hot.
Awesome advice. Thank you 🙏🏼😀
Very helpful video 👏🏾
I very rarely leave it plugged in overnight and I never use wireless charging (I don't own a wireless charger). I plug it in when I need to, usually by the end of the day and disconnect it when I go to sleep. 80% on an iPhone 13 Pro gets me through the whole day easily, so I usually disconnect at that percentage.
I don't stress about my battery health, but I got used to plugging it in at around 20-30% and disconecting at 75-85%, which I believe is best for the health of the battery.
My iPhone XS was at 84% battery health after 3 years of use and charging it as described above, but now my 13 Pro that I got on release day is at 100% still.
I have noticed that the worst thing for your battery is extreme cold or hot weather, so I avoid leaving my phone out in the sun in the middle of the summer for longer periods of time. Same goes for when temperature is below freezing - I wouldn't leave it outside on a table exposed to the cold.
Very good explanation, thank you very much
Thank you for posting 😍
Helped a lot. Thanks!
@zollotech - I wanted to tell you that I have always been charging my iPhones, from the first one to my current iPhone XS Max, exactly the way you do. I purchased my current phone (with 256 MB) the second day it was available. My Battery Capacity shows at 86%, even though I use it many hours of the day. So, I would just like to confirm what you have said in this video!!!
im so happy. from end of september 2021 i buy my iphone 13pro and still use non stop and is still 100%. thank you for video
Hello from Miami. Same here with the Battery 🔋 concerns.
Thanks for good information
very informative video Aaron you are just superb👍❤️❤️
Very informative video and helpful
Good topic. Many people have no idea.
Good advise thanks 👍
thank you so much for this video. It really calmed me down hahah
Thank you I do enjoy your videos
Thank you for this video! Battery health is one of most talked about things on Reddit and forums in general. I got my 12 (non pro and non max) back in August 2021 and I use both fast charging and slow charging. After 6 months I’m at 96% battery health. I was told to not worry about it and just use and enjoy my device. Thank you for clearing up myths and misconceptions! Very well done here in this video 👍🏻
My original SE was at 99% after 4 years. I lost 6% on my Se 2020 after just 3 months on my SE 2020. My experience is to keep it fully charged as much as possible. I am not buying this 80% BS. I have tried it both ways. Keeping it fully charged has worked the best for me.
I lost that first 6% by allowing Apple to manage it and allowing it to drain to 80%. It hasn't lost but 1% since and it has been sitting in the charger all the time.
@@WhittyPics I got the SE 2020 in mid January of 2021 and my battery health is ALREADY at 85%!?? IDK but I’ve read were others were still in the 90’s with theirs. It got to the point where I needed to charge it up to 2 times a day and that’s not normal to me.
@@WhittyPics For laptops, keeping them plugged in for more than a year straight greatly lowers battery capacity. However, with a phone, daily use should minimize the stress on the battery at 100%.
That’s weird, i got my 12 Pro Max in September 2021 and i still have 100%
Awesome YT channel. Very focused but fun as well. Been watching all night. God bless :) iPhone SE 2020 I am going to get $99 BRAND NEW! cant beat that
have had my Iphone 7 for two years now and it's still at 97% battery health on ios 15. The strategy that I use is to normally charge up to around 85-90% and then don't let it drain below 25% and it seems to work
Will try this thanks
What if you gts with it on the charger ima try this
I always try keeping it between 30% and 80% seems to work
Hey Aaron great video
Hi! It’s really nice to find your account. A week ago I just bought my iPhone 13 . And still trying to figure it out how to maintain my battery health, and if it’s okay to charge it overnight with the Optimized battery on?
Honestly, my battery didn’t stop on 80% and it keep going up to 100%
Can't wait to watch 😊
Good one!!!!appreciate!!!!
Thank you!
I love your videos keep up the good wate
I’ve got my 8 Plus booked in to get a new battery. Mine’s at 77% now! I guess not too bad as I’ve had it since launch.
Thank you for that I was worrying about my battery health
80% battery health after 2 years or 500 cycles is normal according to Apple
Thank you so much sir
I have a year old iPhone 11, with a battery health of 89%.
I have AppleCare, if I need a new battery, or feel like I do in the next 12 months or so, I can get a new one.
Even if not, I can have Apple replace the battery, and it's not too expensive to do so.
I charge my phone every night, or, as often as I need to do so through the day.
Thanks for the video, Aaron.
I have mine iPhone 12 since september, and it's on 99%, pretty good so far, i charge it every night with 20w charger.
Stavesacre "Colt .45" (at 3:44)? Nice. I got to see them live (with Philmore as an opening act) at my hometown's fairgrounds race track / grandstands, around when Stavesacre's self-titled album was out.
Nice, I saw them live once as well.
now i can use my android without worrying.. thanks for the info
Great video! I've tried to download the apple support app but is not showing on the appstore, does anyone knows why? thanks a lot!
excellent video
In the end, batteries are consumables and should be treated as such. Just enjoy it while you still have it! Great video Aaron :) Super informative!
Ok buy why not try to take care of it and make it last as long as possible, considering phones are expensive? 🤦🏻

can you please make a video about advantages and disadvantages of dual sim and or single sim? thank you! i would like to have dual sim, i have single sim now.
Thanks Aaron. This information was very helpful. I was able to replace my wife’s iPhone 7+ battery which was below 78 percent in 3 years. Thanks again.
Thanks for the video Aaron. Any advice for someone who has Optimized Battery Charging turned on, but it’s not working. Battery health is 86%.
I’m a battery hobbyist. My XR is 96% health after 2.5yrs of averaging 7+hrs SOT/day on ~50% batt, using an automate custom optimization. Ran my previous iPhone5/iPad2 duo for ~7yrs with good (albeit manual) battery management too. The thing is, with most iPhones spec’ing 15+hrs SOT, and iOS13+ shortcut automations (+$10 smartplug), a custom optimization is almost as easy/cheap as flipping the ‘optimization’ switch - a fraction the time, cost, effort of a battery swap.
I just used the Support App to schedule a Genius Bar appointment to have the battery replaced in my iPhone 8 Plus. My battery health level was at 78%. It feels like getting a new phone after the replacement. Cost was $49 and I was able to get a same day appointment at the Apple Store. Thanks for doing this video. Cheers 😊
Edward is that battery the original? If that’s the case you’ve gotten about 4 years out of it?
Damn, you took good care of that 8 Plus!
That was the original battery. The iPhone was purchased in October of 2017.
Best Buy charged me $100 to replace my iPad battery. They sent it back to Apple. FYI: Amazon renewed requires the battery be at least 80% health. My iPad got down to 40% when I replaced it and it wouldn't hold a charge more than a couple of hours.
wait, only $49? That's all it costs for a battery replacement? In a certified Apple service?
I just use my iPhone 13 pro max as I do with my other phones when it’s on red I charge it to 100% I didn’t spend a lot of money on this phone to get worried about my battery I got it to use all its benefits and It didn’t disappoint me yet.
Nice video Aaron but I can't see why in this day and age the best you can hope for is 2 years before it hits 80% or below.Maybe I'm wrong.
Amazing wallpaper
Installing an update or new beta is like a doctor visit when you are a kid. You get your height measured, weight measured. It is updating your measurements as it does the battery health. Doesn’t degrade it, you don’t gain/lose weight when you go, it has changed between those visits
Not really though, the health will update without doing an update. Maybe it‘s just that the approximation of battery health sometimes changes between updates. Like going to different doctors every few weeks
My iPhone XR gets used heavily daily from November 2018 and my battery health is 82%. It was at 87 up till 6 months ago then dropped to 82, but the battery still lasts a day just about, charges to 100 nightly and then back on charge in the car on way home every day brings it back up to approx 95. Not sure if this is good practice or not but it doesn’t seem to have harmed my battery a lot in 4+ years
I’ve been trying to keep my iPhone 13 pro max battery between 50 and 80 percent based on a video I found I’m so glad I don’t have to stress so much over it anymore 😄
wtf just use your iphone normal. After 2 oder 3 years u can replace your battery with apple service for a few bucks
@@elementx8046 it’s great that it only cost few bucks for your country, in mine it can goes up until thousands, and it is very expensive
I’d say try to avoid letting your phone go below 20 though.
@@alexbodi5526 You can let it go below 20. Just pull it off the charger around 70%.
@@infiniteblaz3416 True but at least from my experience, you don’t get nearly as much time out of it.
I've had an iPhone 11 for almost 3 years of full day usage and the capacity is 86%,but it still holds like brand new..2 months ago i got an iPhone 13 but i still use my 11 sometimes..
I just bought a refurbished macbook air 2017 and the battery health is 95%, not bad at at all for a 5 year old device
Took my 13pro from charger 7:30am and put on charger after 11pm with 26% left screen on time 8h 35min yesterday and Im using phone a lot for RUclips, chatting, Instagram, Facebook mails, safari. Super happy with this phone I charge it overnight to 100% always but never went under 20%
Is it okay to do it everyday overnight charge, with the Optimized batter on? I just bought my 13
Number ONE
Never really done anything special to maintain battery health that much.
Just charged it overnight in the end, as I couldn’t charge my phone at work that easily. However after using the 8 plus for 4 years as my main phone “I only use one at at time anyway”, it is at 82%. So according to what I hear and read about it, it’s about as good as it can get.
So I kinda have the feeling you shouldn’t worry about it to much.
Doesn’t seem to be a big difference between all that is recommended and just doing your own thing,
I’ve had my XR since launch and I’m rocking 91%
Can you share battery cycles on all your iPhone, Aaron?
I've had my iPhone 13 Pro Max for 2 months and I've been charging it every 2 days, typically 9am to 11am from around 20% and my battery has dropped to 99%. I'm not overly concerned as I tend to upgrade every year and I usually pass my phones down to my daughter.
Your daughters you mean lol
Something it’s not right with your phone my guy need to get it checked out after 2 months
My prev 12 Pro Max 6 months usage still 100%

@@malikjan152 that’s what another guy said here about his 12 too. I’m wondering if there’s any other issue with that model.
Avoid any kind of heat. And I don’t do wireless charge or fast charging. And don’t drain the battery too much. Hope this helps.
@@Mr.White1 No there is not a problem with the 12 battery, it’s just that I went to another country where it was just so hot all the time that it would drain my battery health quicker than usual
My XS is at 78% after 3 years and 1103 cycles.
@@herrkeks8509 how do you know the number of charging cycles
I’m always obsessed with my battery health. Since I’ve had the 13 pro max a month after launch I have only used the wireless charging and only with apple chargers and the apple MagSafe battery pack. And I’m trying very specifically to keep the battery between the 30% and 90% range. I also use a cold pack I lay the phone on to keep the phone cool if it’s hot at all during the charging.
I have heard that wirelessly charging decreases the battery health quickly compared to normal charging
Yes I do worry about the heat which is why I will lay the phone and mag safe charger on a cold pack and I only charge for about ten minutes at a time to keep the heat at a minimum. The battery charges fast and the battery life is amazing on the 13 pro max.
Whats it at now ?
Great video thanks! I’ve had my iPhone 12 Pro since November 2020, I try to keep it charged between 40-80% and don’t leave it charging overnight. My battery health is at 93% so happy so far
Had mine since launch and only charge it on 7.5w wireless every 1.5-2 days when needed. Still sitting at 96% health…almost always let it charge to 100% as it’s mostly charged overnight.
Lol how are you at 93%? I’m at 100% iPhone 12 and 18 hours screen on time per day. You need to change some settings to make it more efficient and it won’t degrade so poorly
You still have 93% battery health left (on your iPhone 12 Pro since 11/2020)?!?
My (iPhone 6s) battery health is ALREADY at 66% AND I HAVE IT SINCE 12/2020, HOW
@@lucaswiese6 Likely you just charge yours more often. I charge mine once every day and a half max, so half the charge cycles of someone who charges daily and maybe does more with their phone so it runs hotter. 95% health on my 12 Pro Max which I’ve had since launch day in the UK.

Crazy how my iPhone XR after 3 years is at 95% ! Only charging it with Anker chargers/powerbank and extremely rare I let it go below 50%.
My experience is that the iPhone 12 ProMax has reduced the battery faster than most any other phone I've had, & I've upgraded yearly until this year. I'm at 91% & I got this 12ProMax when they came out. My wife has my old 11 ProMax, & after 2 years, it is at 94%. It's truly mind boggling. But I do think we use more videos, more notifications, fast charging, and it all takes its toll. Aaron is correct, just use it the way you need to, and deal with the battery if necessary. I look forward to upgrading to the 14 Pro Max in the fall.
well my 11 pro max not even 2 years and battery health only 86%
Seeing some of these comments they seem high with the 12’s I just feel like mine went down kinda fast. I got mine December 2020 and it’s currently at 87%. Just seems like mine plummeted quickly recently

@Edit Name Thank you. Yeah, the battery health is “significantly degraded” at 73% also lol
I need one
My iPhone X is coming up to 5 years and 1500 cycles, and still 83% health! All I’ve done is keep it between 30-80 during the day then sit on the charger overnight.
Does having Bluetooth on even when you aren’t using it drain the battery faster & is it also make a phone less secure if you have it on and not using it?

Already on 98% battery health on my iPhone 13 Pro Max 🤔🤷. I do keep Auto Brightness off and my screen brightness up a little more to it’s highest level. Although I don’t think I have to worry about it a new battery for years. My iPhone XS Max was like that and it lasted me until I got my new great iPhone 13 Pro Max 🥲.
99% for me. I‘m a heavy user and i charge it a bit too much so it does not wonder me to degrade faster.
Hi Aaron, great video. However, I had one concern with the Apple battery replacement program, it is not available in most countries. For example my folks are back in Nepal and they love their iPhone, but they don't have any choice once their battery are degraded as there is no support official battery replacement program there. Only choice they have is to get a new phone or get a third party battery replacement which I do not like at all with all the apple restriction on using only certified battery and shits. But I really hope apple expands their battery replacement program on more countries where the user base for iPhone is growing i.e. Nepal.
You should send this to apple not Aaron. He doesn’t work for them.
One tip I found that seems to have improved my battery health on my 12 pro max was suggested by an apple authorized repair shop. The trick is to turn off “raise to wake”. The phone was always turning on in my pocket and I could feel it getting warm and acting like I was touching the screen as I moved I guess. Turning this off stopped what seemed like a fairly rapid decline in battery health…
Battery life I would agree with you. It has nothing to do with Battery health though. Battery health is the physical capabilities of the battery reducing overtime. It’s just what happens with batteries
@@zollotech Hi Aaron. Well my battery health was going down fast and seems to have slowed since the change. My battery health is now 84% and I have had the phone since day 1 in November 2020…
I would add on that people can forget about this Battery Health page. Only come check on it before your warranty ends and when your device starts shutting down by itself or getting noticeably slower than before.
My iPhone 7 after 5 years is at 73% lol. I’m planning on getting the 14 pro when it comes out.
Hi..
My iPhone XR callers can't get me clearly except on speakerphone. Is it a software problem or hardware problem?
