Only Apple Authorized repair centers have apple original batteries, but becoming one comes with so many downsides. If you have a solid supplier for batteries there isn't really any difference between aftermarket and original. Apple does not sell its parts, and the percentage of new "Apple Original" batteries on the market is so marginally small due to legal concerns that the chances of you obtaining one are extremely slim, let alone getting a solid supply. The "Fake" apple batteries are usually a lot worse than batteries branded under another company.
ok
ok
If anyone has any questions just reference Louis Rossman and his multiple videos about becoming an authorized Apple repair center. It’s a terrible idea and Apple is terrible for locking the market on their products.
and too much expensive too, I send my iPhone to apple for changing the battery they say I have to change the screen and when you need to change it you have to change the speaker too that's totally the cost of the new iPhone because it's out of warranty, we must fight by nails for the right to repair act.
Oh
This guy literally said “Welcome to Battery Theory”
lol
Lmao
bruh
Yeah
no
Shout out to Louis Rossman who is lobbying for right to repair.
Apple doesn't make batteries, other companies make it for them apple just put the logo
@@internetisinteresting7720 and Apple restricts those manufacturers to sell to third party sellers or repairshops, that's the whole point.
I'm an android fan but I'm all over that band wagon, bump this sh*t up👍
@@internetisinteresting7720 here's the point
Your head
@@marxkartredge As someone who hates how Apple products work they don't deserve to be treated the way they are
So he’s doing for quality, great job
its not like he has a choice. He can't get real apple batteries
@@rajder656 what do you count as a real apple battery? 💀
@@OGmemegenerator a battery that isn’t some cheap knockoff that doesn’t even work with your phone
I remember a video where Louis rosman bought a bunch of genuine Apple batteries and then even though they were legit Apple tried to claim that they were fakes using their logo when in reality they weren't fake and apple was just trying to take them
I remember too
Not even apple who took it
It's the customs
Apple had weaponized customs
@@houghwhite411 Just like when OnePlus buds were seized for being "Airpods clones", even though there was a different companies logo on them and a different design.
@@Eli-gn6dr Damn I've never heard that. The customs seized it and didn't return it?
@@Eli-gn6dr Orrrrr it could be that it is illegal to import patent protected property into the US. Rossman did not purchase those batteries from Apple did he? No. So that is illegal. That’s just basic trade law lol
Fantastic short. Horrible that Apple is such a closed minded anti right to repair company, but I enjoyed this video
And they make such a big deal about being so “green”
They're not really close minded. They're just greedy as fuck and their customers love getting fucked in the ass so why should apple stop?
@@iTzZM7TRF this
in 2021, with electronic devices, you don't repair stuff, you go and buy new one, so apple is happy
and majority of customer base of Apple is vegan and environmental fighters. crazy how they support this disgusting company with their wallets
If you rub a genuine apple battery with isopropyl, the logo and text would still come off.
Right? I've seen so many videos saying "that's a fake apple battery" and proving it by rubbing the logo off. Could it be fake? Sure. Is it a litmus test for a fake battery? Absolutely not.
@@UltimateBMWfan I think they do it as a way to say, the logo means nothing. It can be added (by a manufacturer) or taken off with no issue.
So don’t buy batteries based on how they look but on how they perform
Tim Cook burner spotted
It does come off, but not nearly as easily.
One of the rare shorts which actually is education and doesn't make me feel like I'm loosing braincells, good job! Keep doing what you're doing!
There are many good ones.... it's on you to adjust the algorithm
Ok

Phone repair Guru: nah man, Apple just don't like me and, you know the rules and so do I.
Edit: its actually just for quality and I just wanted Rick roll all lol
Rick roll
nice *rick roll*
Never gonna give you up
Apple also makes their own screws just to make it more difficult for you to use the device that YOU purchased. This is why I've boycotted them.
Then you are saving lot of bucks mate
Me too....ever since the aggressive DRM shit on the iPod i took back FAST
who told you that? The screws that apple uses in their devices existed long before Apple. They’re less common, yes, but Apple didn’t create them 😂

Wtf u been doing at school??
Lol
This 10 second video about iPhone batteries is the most you ever learned in the past years, huh? I pray for you brother
Why "cheap knockoff" 😅😅 Apple literally does nothing different than buying batterys and print their logo on it...
they dont even make their own chips, apple doesn't own a single lithography machine. even their displays are made by samsung
Yeah, apple only warranties their stuff, if it explodes on you like those Samsung’s did you know who and how to sue them, and is literally the the baseline for whether these other batteries are less than or greater than. /s
This is a complete lie. Printing a logo on it and sourcing custom parts from a manufacturer by the millions is completely different. You just don't know enough about logistics and tech to get that. The manufactures apple has access to are much much higher grade than the things you can order off the internet. The do extensive testing and inspections on their manufacturers you do none of that. Yes you can get a reasonable product. But no your product is probably not as good, it's probably had corners cut and will function mostly as well possibly better but if apple took that mindset they'd have thousands of lawsuits from faulty products. 1/10000 isn't good enough when you are selling at this scale
@@gasun1274You understand that's how the world works right? Virtually no one makes their own chips. It's a gargantuan task that will not produce many benefits and the profits are meagre at best. Companies aren't going to dedicate themselves to resource production, processing and extremely advanced manufacturing to produce a product. You also need to understand that Apple is not buying these products they are designing them the same way Qualcomm and many other companies do. The carpenter can build a house but the architect actually did all the work beyond labour.
Although I am an Android user, I really admire Apple's work with the Bionic and M1 chips. Too bad the Bionic chip is paired with a battery that can't handle them. I would love to see Apple put a 5000 mAh battery in their phones like my S21 Ultra that lasts me 17 hours doing daily tasks
If they put a 5000 mAh battery in an iPhone, it will last forever. The 13 Pro Max is already hard to kill
Props to u for keeping in that stutter
I kind of don’t care if the component is genuine or not. I just want the thing to work, and work well. I’m not even looking at the logo.
As long as it's a good quality battery, it doesn't matter if it's "original" or not. Too bad we as consumers can't easily get to know if it's really good or not....
Very interesting fact, some suppliers that make non genuine parts and have the logo, cover it up with tape or removeable paint to reveal a permanent logo. I think it's a copyright lawsuit prevention thing and may even be for something about customs.
My guy out here helping us with the little things like this 🙏🏽 solid man 👌🏽😌
That’s facts. Cuz I asked the store they told the same thing.
‘Because you’re too cheap, that’s why’. Only kidding PRG. Much love from Ireland 🇮🇪
the batteries i buy are more expensive than the ones with the printed apple logo on😭
@@PhoneRepairGuru sux
@@PhoneRepairGuru Feels bad man. Although as long as they work I’m sure that you and your customers are happy with them.
@@PhoneRepairGuru ouch
@@PhoneRepairGuru Didn't you say you get batteries sent to you now? As in sponsorship or something like that? Thought I heard that in one of your videos.
So what is the best battery can you recommend?

I love the stutter then cut at the start lol
Please show us how to shop for good quality parts online… especially screens. Can I trust eBay sellers listing a screen as genuine OEM? How can one tell just by looking at pictures?
99.99% are not actual genuine OEM they may be very close to OEM in quality but not actual OEM. eBay listings are lying to get you to buy.
*him* : they don’t exist
*also him* : some of these are actually genuine
This is why you only go to apple authorized repair shops, not Phil down the street.
You can wipe off any of those logos. They're screenprinted. Just use acetone, methanol, isopropanol, etc.
They do actually exist. I get them OEM at my repair shop, and we pass them through Apple’s post repair diagnostics software tool. There are absolutely knock offs out there, but they “do” exist: you just don’t have access to them.
Can you do a video about genuine higher capacity replacement batteries. Are there really higher capacity iPhone batteries you can replace the original with?
No
That intro was a failure, but good to know bro ❤️😂
That loop cut 🔥🔥🔥
You are also Genuine dude...
What makes it even funnier is that even when you have an actual apple device you probably won't be getting a genuine apple battery.
Apple: Expensive
Actual fruit: cheaper
Hotel: Trivago
Sorry, I had to! 😂👌🏻
I subscribed to your channel because of this short
Your videos with this music are hilarious and amazing
Why do you always slam delicate parts around?
Gets me more engagement on videos :)
You'd be surprised at how much they can survive
They're not really that delicate. Especially batteries. The only thing I'd be worried about are the cameras and the glass.
Better to go for a brand that puts their name on their products, than a brand that tries to impersonate someone else.
You do a Great job dude
Wiping that logo off with the sponge sponge in the battery holder!
Which batteries do you buy? Most of the time, I see Ampsentrix logo on your batteries. Do they last for a long time?
It depends
No battery manufacturer can produce good and tested to long last batteries for iphones
Because they can get copyright infringement claims for it
You're only on a good luck if the material used is good otherwise a 10$ and 50$ battery could perform the same .
Also to know true quality (a long process)
You can charge the batteries to 100% then check the voltages , then use them upto 0% and check the voltages again
The battery with better voltage after complete drain is supposed to last longer and better while high loads
I go for third party ones from well known sources I trust.
this is why i love Deji Max batteries, they got really good warranty and very good capacity
"Solo" - Phone Repair Guy, Intro. 2021.
Well for me i use from baseus brand and always tell the customer that it is a baseus brand and that brand is very good bcs they provided many other accessories and they even also got a website and also the warranty is real
i would like to note something, that ink comes off with isopropyl alcohol anyways, and i think it would on the legit batteries too. wiping off the logo doesnt prove anything if im right
i like this guy ..you have your Commonsense very bright
i can buy the OEM battery service packs from Apple via our supplier not always in stock tho
There's an imposter in Among Us
This has more cuts that a suicidal person
People:ask a question
This guy: so should I begin at the beginning of life
Nice tip
Yes brother
And great video you really do a great job gates off my guy
They are just serialized in the gsx2 system, thats why when you use after market, it shows its non genuine
Engine oil & transmission oil are also come from same factory and their sister factories.
You can wipe off the print screening on original batteries too but I agree not many real batteries on the market. Lots of good aftermarket options though.
my guy literally just went hello internet welcome to battery theory
Just recently aware of this.. so it's better to get unbranded or battery with non-apple stickers.. i hope you can show how to test it too
Pls do a crunch compilation pleeaasssseeee
Thanks
Great info.
thats crazy...
Like brand shoes, u can easily same quality shoes for different price just because of the brand name or lack of.
It's getting tricky out here smh
I don't do phone repair but I dealt with a lot of knock off products and often getting a whole different brand that doesn't try to copy anyone leads to a better product because the company making knockoffs aren't based on quality products, they know they'll sell a lot just because of the logo so no need to make an actually good product
the only oem batteries you can get are from apple or ubreakifix for replacements but a lot of the oem that are online are mostly re-wrapped and are trash.
also xr and higher need to be calibrated with apple software to be fully working in the phone
I respect ya and I want to be like you to help fix phones
Thank you for bringing this to attention
I'm tired of finding good batteries
It’s like with shoes the company that makes the shoes will sell the same exact shoe of the same quality to someone else but there labels as fake
That’s why I use ifixit batteries
Just repaired my i7+ with new battery and screen for about $30. Screen doesn't look as good as the stock IPS panel but the battery is the average certified li-ion and it's definitely worth the money!
No one should have to spend $240 for these, plus you get to revive phones for which servicing was discontinued. Right to repair all the way!
This is why I got out of electronics repair. Most replacement parts were garbage meaning I'd be doing many repairs 2+ times at no fault of my own.
what’s with the first pause 😂
It's a theory
A battery theory
Originals can be identified by removing the BMS board of the battery. U can see a small white apple logo printed on the tiny BMS pcb.
I love this guy
Ampsentrix is a good brand for batteries
Wow that’s wild
little Tip - every original signed Battery has a specific serial Number written on the Back .. :p
Thats why
Part of the text started rubbing off with the logo too, so they weren't printed separately. How does a genuine battery fare with IPA? Can't just look it up because all that comes up are articles about disinfecting phones
They both rub off but aftermarket tends to come off a little easier
@@PhoneRepairGuru yeah right...
you can get OEM Pulls but they are used.
Its a gamble for batterys
What if the repair shop gives me 18 months warranty? :0
Dudes throwing battery’s around lol
Good to know
You saved me bro
That stutter is really fucking me up
That "sol" voicecrack lol
“So alo- So a lot”
i work at an apple service provider. we get our batteries and other parts directly from apple’s distribution centers. so, yes, genuine batteries do exist. you just need to be an ASP
Yo when he wiped off the logo I almost got a Brain Burst
nice information
The funny thing is even an original battery you can wipe out the logo just by using isopropyl alcohol xDD is discovered that by opening a broke never repaired before iPhone. So the printing doesn’t say anything
Apple does sell genuine batteries on their store for repair but needs pairing with phone
