from what i can see, the old ssd seems like is a sata ssd and the new one looks like nvme so im wondering how does a nvme fit in it when the port are different?
The laptop has a Key M (PCIe/NVMe) SSD slot. Originally a SATA SSD with a B+M Key is installed (B+M Key cards fit into either a B key or M key port) , I guess to keep production costs lower as when the laptop came out in 2018 SATA SSDs where much cheaper than NVMes. Nowadays SATA and NVMe SSDs cost roughly the same. As the laptop has a M-key slots (which is needed for NVMe) you can easily upgrade to NVMe. The GL63 supports up to Gen 3.0 x4 PCIe. NOT Gen 4.0!! So no need to put in a Gen 4.0 SSD. Hope that helps

Hello, i have same laptop for 3 years now. It runs around 50-60 degrees, but i never change a thermal paste, do i need to do it?
I'd say no. When it starts going into the 90's for tasks that didn't used to get that hot, then that's a sign. 50-60 is good.
