  • Japan has a lot of incredible snack options that are different from what we have been used to in Germany and the USA! This time, we’re trying some interesting & unique snacks thay we found at our local supermarket with our family from the US. Disclaimer: These snacks are not the most popular here in Japan, but simply some of the stranger ones that we found and thought would be fun to test out! There are many better options than what you see here!

I felt sorry for them because many of the snacks chosen were weird !!
Potato chips from KOIKEYA and Calbee, chocolate Pocky from glico, gummy from Kanro, etc. are popular products available at supermarkets💓
I also recommend the ice cream called Yukimi Daifuku and Palm 🎵
Please, Japanese people have strange tastes! Please don't think that😆😅😃✨

Oh yes most of the snacks chosen were so weird! Lol we did that on purpose (we have a different video about the popular Japanese snacks so go check those ones out for normal snacks)! :) It was a bit of a culture shock seeing that some of these snacks existed so we had to let our family try them! We know that most Japanese individuals have amazing taste! Japanese food is so tasty! :) Thank you for the recommendations! We will have to try them! mmm :)

"I don't taste the fish at all" LOL! It's like me, "I don't taste the jalepeno/garlic/cayenne at all!"

Hey do you guys have green tea ice cream in Japan? I bet you do! I had it for the first time at a Thai restaurant in Leverkusen and it blew my mind. The experience of having my green tea ice cold and creamy was wonderful.

"It's unfortunate that a lot of people don't get to experience American brownies." I'm with you on this - but then again, how often in America are the store-bought ones really good? I think we are more likely to make them from scratch and of course that's the best way to go for most things. I love making brownies for Germans - they are always surprised at how moist they are. Recently I realized that chocolate crinkle cookies (those Christmas cookies made from chocolate with a powdered sugar topping with cracks in it) are basically brownies in cookie form, and much easier to eat (no cutting yay). So I'm bringing them to a potluck next month - who cares that it's not Christmas, no German would scold me for that mistake. Here is my brownie recipe (I don't make the frosting cuz they don't need it): www.allrecipes.com/recipe/10549/best-brownies/
(Dot not overcook, sit there next to the oven with a pin and check for doneness or else they'll be too dry and you wasted your time.)

    「都こんぶ」は100年以上の歴史ある日本の銘菓です。
    (若干好みは別れますが) 子供から老人まで親しまれています。
    但し「納豆」と同じでほとんどの外人さんは駄目みたいです。😵
    残念。😓

It’s really cool to hear about the history and also to see how foods can be loved by so many when they grow up with them. :)

Everything in Japan is fishy, the air smells fishy, the chocolates taste fishy, the drinks taste fishy, it's all disgusting.
