I love Snatch-grip Deadlifts! You activate the lats, upper back and traps to a greater degree while using a bit less weight, so you make so much more out of less weight especially for hypertrophy purposes! These and Trap Bar Deadlifts are my two favorite deadlifting variations.

Do they have good carry over to normal deads? Or would you say the added deficit is overkill with the snatch part being already deficit enough?

now make it Romanian too, SnatchGrip-Deficit-Paused-Romanian Deadlift, even 225 lbs will be tough for rep works

But should you retract scapula in snatch grip deadlift as it is done in bench press or barbell squats? Or in snatch deadlift its only lats working as stabilizers?

Great video! I love doing these. But, with your lower body doing these vs. deficit Deadlifts, does it seem like it's about the same range of motion? Of course the difference is the hand placement. I know sounds crazy, but just wondering what you all think.

    • @IWantToStayAtYourHouse

Snatch grip deadlift recruits more upper back musculature. So if you wanna focus on upper back than snatch grip is great
