This is dangerous and should be made the opposite way, with depressing the lever to go, let off for stop. This setup , if you fall off it will keep going, and makes starting more difficult.
Love the idea and work that went into this. Tell me tho, is there anything to gain by using this rather than a traditional torque converter? Can't help but think that the clutch you made is touchy and not ideal for accelerating from a stop.
Well a centrifugal clutch can basically never fully engage so you're nasically never using the engine power on 100% and sometimes you just need that power. Also a belt clutch like this (or any manual clitch) or what you find in most scooters allows engine braking, increasing the life of brake pads. And a belt drive is overall more quiet than a chain.
I am trying to convert an air raid siren to run on a predator 224cc gas engine. Problem is, I know nothing about chain and sprocket systems, and I am having trouble figuring things out. I need some sort of clutch so that the engine can start and idle without a load, and so that the siren can wind down without the engine dragging it down. I am reusing the shaft that the siren came with from the electric motor. It’s about 1-1/4” diameter in the spot I’d need to fit a sprocket, and the largest bore 1:1 sprocket I can find to match an off the shelf centrifugal clutch is 7/8”. I don’t know what to do, I don’t have anyone to tell me if my ideas are stupid or will work fine. I just need someone to answer some questions and help me figure this out, so I don’t waste money on components that I can’t use.
Your steering geometry at about the 12 minute mark when you are doing that u turn. The steering geometry looks to be reversed to what it should be. Also, that clutch operation should be reversed. If there's no actuation, it shouldn't be in engaged mode at rest. Nice problem solving/engineering otherwise
Fantastic work my friend. You seem to be the only one on the internet who has these good ideas and makes them real, while thoroughly documenting.
Wow, thanks!
Sir you and your work is amazing.
You are in a high class of your own!
Wow, thank you!
Awesome idea thank you for the tip sharing us how to make one
Cara gostei da tua ideia esse teu sistema é massa visse valeu aí meu irmão você é um gênio cara você merece 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

its working like a standard clutch tho
@@luismartins2771 yes it does but a standard clutch only grips if you let go

It's not ideal yet, I need to upgrade it more
Dude, that is awesome 👌
Glad you think so!
Great ideas but that back ground music is shocking
Why do away with the centrifugal clutch ? and full chain drive much better than a belt and pulley ?

Belt system is way better, than chain.
I had a question in my head, i searched it up thinking it wouldnt be posible, than this comes
Hello!!This system is function in bicyclee for bici-moto 80CC 4T??
Where can I buy the fuel tank separately? How many liters is it? I`m from Siberia, Russia
Better cover thst belt, some slip in it will slap well onto that foot
oh yes, I will upgrade it
Можно было поставить 2 двухручейковых шкива и ремней, 1 на движение вперёд, а другой на движение назад

Good one, but I guess I would ve built it the other way around. So when yo
🤗🤗🤗🤗
Ya, but ya didn't. 😅
why remove a perfect working clutch to rig it ?
Hes Just showing us that it is possible to make clutch that will fit in any engine
De verdad no entiendo es mejor el de bandas a correa normal , pregunto
Itu pake ban buatan sendiri kah?
Bro isn’t this just a torque converter 😂

Гвоздь вовообще не шпонка, металл слабый, а футорки на подшипниках, причем не на вал, а на резьбу 🤨.. Полнейший технический бред 👎🤮
Lốp to kia bạn mua ở đâu vậy ạ?
