@@stadiumarena5891. That goofball played in Atlanta for like two years. Kovalchuk was with the team for eight seasons. I could care less about Kane's history with the "Jets". He was a lackluster player in Atlanta. Best Thrashers were: Ilya Kovalchuk Marion Hossa Marc Savard Slava Kozlov Dany Heatley Enstrom, Kapanen, and Exelby were better than Kane when he was in Atlanta.
The Blueland-era Thrashers would not be losing to an ECHL team 4-0... great promotion, I love the Gladiators, and I love the NHL's Thrashers but I'm such a huge fan of them that I'd say this is out of character for them. If the beloved blue is being put on, at least score a goal or two, because this literally looks like the Thrashers got shutout by an ECHL team. I do hope Thrashers Night makes a comeback and becomes an annual tradition (until an NHL team comes back to Atlanta). This game brought up dormant feelings in me of being a Thrashers superfan. It was good to feel the fire of being a hardcore Thrashers fan again.
The place was packed but there wasn't much to cheer for. I was there. The Gladiators play was extremely sloppy last night and I have been to two other games this season, both of which were competitive good games. The only real cheering for what was happening on the ice during the game were the two fights/scuffles.
I was there. Great atmosphere but the Gladiators (Thrashers) played sloppy. Realistically the worst I have ever seen them play. I saw a couple slips on the ice, missed slapshots, and they had a tough time even getting the puck to mid ice. To Greenville's credit, their defense was solid.
@@thevandivers That seemed to be because the Glads couldn't seem to skate with the puck down ice, at least not well. They were forced pretty much to shoot the puck down the ice given the tough defense. Greenville is the top team in the eastern conference and the Gladiators are last.
Didn't even sell out for Blueland night - and then they played terribly....again. Speaks volumes that they can't even sell out this game or Teddy Bear night, etc. This is probably one of the worst hockey teams I've ever seen. For a city trying to get an NHL team this is a very poor product.
They did sell out. Highest attendance in team history. It filled in about six minutes into the first period. A lot of that is because a lot of people were getting food and then they had to wait till stoppage of play to make their way to their seats. A new rule the arena has. Any empty seat, the few, were namely people at the concessions or restroom.
@@KS__99 The game sheet had 9,248. Not a sellout. Plus they were sending out ticket promotions earlier that same day, for the signed pucks + tickets. They had to do that for Thrasher night? I don't blame the fans, I wouldn't pay to watch this - these guys are awful and the team is doing nothing to get better.
PLEASE KEEP DOING THESE NIGHTS ANNUALLY! May not have been a win but the sold out arena and Blueland being alive was awesome.
I agree. Did it seem like the jersey was a shade darker blue, not quite as baby blue as the NHL Thrashers?
