I love how Jeff Beck loves all his musicians equally. He becomes humble as an English gentleman would do. Near the end of the set when Imogen Heap and Tal Witenfeld were on stage. Jeff Beck took a knee and took their hands and kissed them. He is as great of a gentleman as a musician. Love him!
Vinnie does a LOT of jobs with a LOT of top-line artists, but watching him here, you just get the feeling that this is a heart gig - he just loves playing this stuff. 👍
With certain gigs/artists, Vinnie connected on another level. Jeff Beck is one of those instances. Another would be “Secrets” by Allan Holdsworth, and the few live performances the two did together around 1988. Some absolutely otherworldly playing by both Allan and Vinnie. Having played with both Holdsworth and Beck already makes Vinnie one of the most accomplished drummers of all time, not to mention the dozens of other artists he’s been involved with throughout the years.

First, thanks for the upload. I own the Blu-ray of this concert and they only have four songs of them. Their will never be another Sir Honorable Jeff Beck. He insisted on Tal doing the solo and I suspect only because he wanted to show that she was more than just eye candy. She was so perfect for the entire group of extras supporting Mr. Jeff Beck. Jeff, Vinnie, Tal and Jason play like they have been playing for 20 years together, which is impossible considering Tal isn't any more then 20 years old here. What group of musicians!!

Saw him seven times. He was absolutely amazing. Gawd, how I miss him but am so grateful for him and his music. Only two words to say after seeing him: JEFF BECK.
For live performances (and I am a 51 year harmonica pro but listen to where the tones are!) for what I listen to it would be this and when I saw the original Allman Brothers (the full original line-up with Duane Allman and Berry Oakley) in April of 1971 up close. And also check the Paul Butterfield Band (with David Sanborn in the horn section) at Woodstock playing Little Walter's "Everything is Gonna be Alright"....that cooks too. David Sanborn said he has never played with a band, before or since, with that dynamic.
To be able to see all of these musicians who, despite their age ranges, were clearly at the top of their game, is marvelous. Isn't it great to be alive at a time that lets you experience such as this well after the fact? Bravo to all of 'em.

Saw Beck when he toured with The Mahavishnu Orchestra in the early 70's. At the end, both bands came out on stage and did an extended version of Stanley Clarke's song "Power"
The space and time in between his notes, just WICKED. My favorite lineup that Beck had is this lineup. Was raw, real and insanely tight with GREAT energy by all the players.
I've loved the DVD of this great event, but this is Jeff's complete set which never made it to the DVD. No matter whether it's a huge stadium gig like this one, or a large auditorium concert like the 'Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame' concert featuring this incredible foursome with guests like Buddy Guy and Reverend Gibbons, or even the intimate 'Live at Ronnie Scott's' gig, Jeff and this group just smashes the living daylights out of it!! Jason is totally unsung but superb, Vinnie's a force of nature and Jeff is the Magister Ludi of what used to be called 'Jazz Fusion'. And what can you say about the ex Dover Heights school girl? Watch her work in this set on you'll understand what blew Chick Corea's mind all those years ago!!
I always knew Jeff Beck was really good. And for me personally. He is definitely Number 1 without doubt. I have never been so moved by a performance as i have by this. I was actually in tears! His complete respect for Tal, and his band was so beautiful. And Tal's joy and respect for Jeff was so beautiful ❤
I can't remember how many times I've listened to that concert. It just keeps getting better. This vid is the most complete and best sounding I've heard yet. Sensational...in every 'sense' of that word. Pure genius. Thanks. RIP JB.
This is great to find. I'd only seen the tracks edited for the Festival video. I always wondered what his set consisted of. The Mahavishnu opening was incredible. An amazing artist at his best. Thank you Eric for having him there twice. Jeff Beck forever 🕉
All playing at such a high level! All crushing it. Beck, Colaiuta, Wilkenfeld, Rebello. I keep adding to this comment! Not only is Vinnie one of my fave drummers (his left hand has the most satisfyingTHWACK), but they are also all LISTENING to each other so well. Dynamics, unison, everything. This is an astonishing set. RIP, Jeff.

Wow thanks so much for this!! I've been on the musival outskirts of Jeff Beck-town until the last few years....I can say now how much I dig & understand his talent. Guess the master will come when the student is ready! This particular line up just blows me away....blow by blow.

All killer, no filler! Ronnie Scott's is in my top ten favorite live shows. What a great time to be alive. Allman Brothers at the Fillmore, J Girls Band "Live full House, and the list goes on. But no one in their right mind can ignore Ronnie's. I never knew Bill Murray and myself were so acutely in line in our zest for Geoffrey Arnold's abilities. Thanks for the recording!

Saw him with Jim at pine knob 2018 August and Ann Wilson and Bad Company for the last time. Great video here .
Thanks. RIP JB.
Seen Tal a bunch of times. Two of them together at this show, magic!! Whole band sounded incredible
...seeing the fun they are having is straight forward - simply overwhelming...
This is great to find. I'd only seen the tracks edited for the Festival video. I always wondered what his set consisted of. The Mahavishnu opening was incredible.
An amazing artist at his best.
Thank you Eric for having him there twice.
Jeff Beck forever 🕉
Yes!
RIP, Jeff.
You are missed very much Jeff.
This is incredible!
Jeff’s tone with Tal and Vinnie blows my mind.
I have heard so much music from them.
Yes, is Increíble!
I thank carolyn4153 for this beautiful video!
I am currently watching Blu-ray Live at Ronnie Scott’s.
Joss is singing “People Get Ready”
Yes I would climb on board!
And I have.
Love you all!
There are no words for these players. There playing is from another planet 🌎…I ran across this video only to watch a few minutes, watched all 50:21. 👏🏻😳 RIP Mr. Beck🙏🏻
I don’t know where I am right now.
Jeff Beck and Tal Wilkenfeld have brought to a special place.
They are so wonderful together and they have brought me to a special place. Please forgive my grammar.
Music is your special friend!”Jim Morrison”
Yes I know that I am toasted. And I will always be by your side.
Bless your all!
Wow thanks so much for this!! I've been on the musival outskirts of Jeff Beck-town until the last few years....I can say now how much I dig & understand his talent. Guess the master will come when the student is ready! This particular line up just blows me away....blow by blow.
Just having BM introduce the set is epic!
Great Jeff, R.I.P., saw him three times, with great bands, since '90 tour throu 2022, but never seen with this band, that's so great! thanks for post it!
This is one of the finest live performances on the platform, or anywhere else, for that matter.
❤
Fabulous bass player too. Perfect together. Wow!
