- Hi all, this week i'm talking about the wild rush of emotion that comes with being told you need a hysterectomy, and not knowing whether the growth is cancerous.

In my 5th week of recovery from a total abdominal hysterectomy. Bored and feeling slightly cross about sitting at home and not getting to clean up the house. So grateful for the family's support and overall feeling better without all the physical symptoms I was having before the surgery. I had both ovaries removed too. Since I am 53 I'm not having much menopause symptoms. Appreciate your sharing because it helps so many women. We will all get theough this.

All the emotions you talk about are also the ones you can feel in menopause. I’m in menopause and mourning is part of it. I don’t hide my feelings all the time. In fact I’m open about it so my family members know that my hormones let me act differently than I’m actually am. Yes, my children see me cry but they also see me laughing through my tears. That is the message I want to give to my family members.
Besides that. I sent you lots of love and strength. The waiting time is a lot to handle too. BB take care🌟
I can so relate to how you felt about the hysterectomy, I'm 52 and have had four children. I feel exactly the same even though I know I need to have one
It's strange isn't it. I know I'm very fortunate to have been able to have children, and to have healed from surgery. But sometimes I just yearn... we're complicated creatures. I hope your healing is gentle xx
I know that I’m just now seeing this vide but it is very helpful as I’m about to embark on my own journey.
I hope you have a smooth surgery. Don't feel guilty or like you shouldn't ask questions. The one thing the macmillan nurses said to me was; listen to your body, you know when something isn't quite right, so don't push yourself until the surgeon says so. xxx

Thank you for sharing. In June I’ll be a year out from my surgery and finally things are looking up and I am living my best life. It’s been a long road but all is well. I hope things are well with you.
I’m so happy you’re doing well x I’m three years post surgery, and like you, I’d say I’ve been living two years of ‘normal’ (a wee pandemic not withstanding 😅.) It feels like a lot doesn’t it? But on the other hand, I credit all that happened being the gateway to feeling like my truest self.

I am 53 years old and I have six adult children a wonderful husband .Tuesday this week I had a complete hysterectomy and even with the research I did I was still not prepared for the changes already taking place .Anyway I wanted you to know how much I appreciate your video and I wish you the best .thank you
Thank you, I really couldn't decide whether to release these videos or not back in the beginning. But there are so many women out there, just like you and me that have no idea what to expect, or how to deal with it. (If it helps, the menopause has been a real challenge, the hot flushes and terrible, virtually debilitating waves of sadness. I was so forgetful and my mind was so foggy. Because I've had a complete hysterectomy i was able to have HRT patches, it's taken a while to find just the right one, but i feel amazing now! If you are having any problems, don't struggle, as there is treatment out there. It did taken me a couple of months to get myself on an even keel, but i felt so much better in just the first week that i knew it was going to be worth persevering.) Take care, and listen to your body and get lots of rest :) I'm so glad you're on the road to recovery xxx
I'm going through all this at the moment. MRI to see what surgery they recommend is in a few hours. Thankyou for being so honest.
