Writer, seeker, over-thinker... also, I'm an Autumn. IYKYK
I used to have different YT channels, you know; one channel for each topic. Until finally it dawned on me that I could put everything all in one place and let people choose what they want to watch. Sounds simple huh? Took me an age to figure out that we don't actually have to follow the mysterious rules of social media 😅 (hooray to me for rule breaking 🥳 ...)
...Although I've still organised the playlists so you can see what's-what, as the clutter made me a bit crazy.
Hope you enjoy,
Jo x

Here are the three questions, they really made me think about my drive to write. What are the origins of your impulse to write? What frustrates you about writing? What are your long term ambitions, and how would your writing need to grow/change/develop for this? (much tea was drank trying to get concise answers, that were personal to me.) And if you'd like to try the prompt and see how it worke...

Did anyone have it through the bellybutton
I am so pleased to hear your outcome is a positive one, your post op historectomy video was brilliant, I am at the start of week 2 of a total abdominal historectomy and trying to know how much I should mobilise should I be getting dressed even though I really don't want to. It's hard. But you guidese has been great and I am so glad you are doing well.
It's lovely to hear you're doing well. I remember watching your videos when they found precancerous cells and I had to have a complete hysterectomy soon after. Mine was a robotic hysterectomy so 5 smaller scars, but recovery was much like yours. Sharing our stories is so important. Thanks for sharing yours.
I am 50. My fibroid grew huje in just in 2-3 weeks, the stomach is like 6 months pregnant. I live in UK. Having a biopsy on Monday, freaked out.
How do you biopsy a fibroid?
I am 51 and also have fibroid size of 6 month baby
Pls give Jesus a chance as you give to everything else. Read the Bible, the new testament , your ❤️ will be healed.
Truer words couldn’t be said. If there is abnormal bleeding, get it checked out. Fear is no excuse because the issue just gets worse. I am a single person taking care of parents and everyone else. BIG MISTAKE not putting my health first. Take care of yourself ladies! Do not ignore symptoms or your body.
Hello, may I ask did they gave you antibiotics and anti-nausea medications when you were in the hospital and at home?
Hi ya, I was on antibiotics, but that was in response the torsion (how the tumour caused the fallopian tube to twist.) this was in the run up to the surgery. After surgery, I was sent home with blood thinning injections, paracetamol and ibruprofen. J x
Youre a brave lady and your story and thoughts are appreciated. Happy that you have been given an all clear.
In my 5th week of recovery from a total abdominal hysterectomy. Bored and feeling slightly cross about sitting at home and not getting to clean up the house. So grateful for the family's support and overall feeling better without all the physical symptoms I was having before the surgery. I had both ovaries removed too. Since I am 53 I'm not having much menopause symptoms. Appreciate your sharing because it helps so many women. We will all get theough this.
thank you :) I'm so glad these videos have been helpful. And i'm glad your recovery is going well. I remember needing to take it easy too, it was the only time I ever felt a burning desire to mop the floor :D xx
I know that I’m just now seeing this vide but it is very helpful as I’m about to embark on my own journey.
I hope you have a smooth surgery. Don't feel guilty or like you shouldn't ask questions. The one thing the macmillan nurses said to me was; listen to your body, you know when something isn't quite right, so don't push yourself until the surgeon says so. xxx
Cephalexin is actually an antibiotic. Thank you for the great video.
🙈 I didn’t notice this till months after the video was live, I think I did put an *edit in the comments a while back, but these things get lost. I was sent home with Clexane, the anticoagulant. Thank you for mentioning it, hopefully it will stay visible x x
You can call them 'nature tables' like in Waldorf education.
oh this is interesting, I've been reading around education methods, thank you :)
@Joanne Mallory. I am 3 weeks post-operative from a total hysterectomy where they also found cancer. I will soon meet with the Radiology specialist to discuss next steps. Thank you for being brave and speaking out and taking us on this journey with you. I pray you are blessed with good health going forward.❤
thank you so much. I hope your journey is going well, and that you're getting plenty of rest. xx
I had a hysterectomy 2 months ago, best decision I’ve ever made… hardly any afterwards pain just that one incision.
Thank you for your testament. 💞🦋💞🦋💞
Hey. I’m 43 and due for a full hysterectomy due to fibroids. I’ve opted for keyhole surgery and to be awake with a spinal during it. I’m now having second thoughts
Hello Lovely, I'm sorry i'm answering in delay - sometimes the messages seem to disappear and reappear. If you've already had the op, I hope it went well. If you haven't had it yet, my advice is always trust your intuition. And do what is best for you. Sending you all the healing xx
Any updates? Any regrets?
I have a friend who has lived and worked in Glastonbury, and they reported a tension in the town between the normies, the spiritual, the tourists, and the visitors to that farm for that festival. Your advice to go in the "off" season is good, because the local shops will appreciate your custom more too.
It's such a beautiful town, and more than that, the journey through the south-west countryside of rolling green landscape and winding roads to get there feels significant also. But yes, I'd say the tension you talk about is running much closer to the surface x
Very interesting thoughts, thank you for sharing. I first came to Glastonbury 15 years ago, my last trip was in early 2020. I was very surprised how much the shops have changed! 15 years ago there was a variety of different shops and all sorts of spirituality present. Now it's the same shops all over. Very commercial and strangely empty. It saddens me. Now my focus will stay wholly on the landscape and the leylines, the energy. In this spirit Glastonbury will always be a magical place and a sanctuary. 💚
Yes, I completely agree. It's an unequal blend of capitalised-mainstream and it's rich history. I'll definitely make time to hide away in the Abbey grounds when I'm next there xx
Thank you for sharing!
beautifu l~catch ya later. 🖐
Lovely to see you back dear, thanks for sharing your little adventure. ☆
I am in day 13 and i am happy watching this video , injection part was my difficult one but my friend did it. I too don't think i could it myself.
I’m glad you’re on the mend x
Glad you're making it happen! Good luck with the Masters!
thank you :) one module and a dissertation left ~ it's been a fantastic experience so far :)
@@JoanneMallory13 Keep going!
When they told me I had clear cell endometrial cancer I wasn't afraid. I felt calm. I slept better than i ever had . God let me know it's ok. That he's got this. I had a deep talk with him. I had a full hysterectomy and I am cancer free. Stage 2. I knew I had cancer. My sister died from this two years ago. Doctor ignored her complaints. I checked him out. He was being sued by many. Dr wants me to get chemo to make sure no cancer cells. I can't. I have srjogens syndrome. Your body kills off your moisture cells. You dry from inside out. Autoimmune disease. Vertigo kicked it in. I choke on food. Have to have water with me 24/7. If I do chemo and throw up it'll destroy my esophagus and I'll starve.
Can you do radiation ?
Hi. How can I contact you, would like to talk about sjodren syndrome
My day 4 and i can identify with all you have said.
Will do. Thank u ❤❤❤
The fact you can sit up 7 days after??? You’re a trooper. I’m 2 weeks post with vertical incision and still have to sit somewhat reclined
thank you :) I hope you're doing better now and that your healing has been gentle xx
I'm on a 3-4 month waiting list atm and I am in bits
Hello Lovely, I'm just getting through some of the messages, so I'm sorry for the delay. I see your comment was 6 months ago, and you were on a four month list, which I hope means you're a good few weeks into recovery. Sending you all the healing xx
I can so relate to how you felt about the hysterectomy, I'm 52 and have had four children. I feel exactly the same even though I know I need to have one
It's strange isn't it. I know I'm very fortunate to have been able to have children, and to have healed from surgery. But sometimes I just yearn... we're complicated creatures. I hope your healing is gentle xx
We're in the U.S. My daughter is having her uterus, cervix, & tubes out + endo excision with the hopes of keeping her ovaries... & it will be outpatient. Insurance = wham, bam, thank you ma'am, & out they roll you same day.
Hi. I hope your daughter is recovering well. I’m in Canada and I had the exact same thing done. Vertical incision. They were able to leave 1 ovary.
goodness me, that's a lot and to be out the same day. I hope her recovery has gone well xx
Hysterectomy due to Ovarian cancer and so glad they caught it early and no more menstrual pain!
When you said early, how far was it
Well done on taking the trip down to a Master's Degree. I started at 0ver 50 and completed it in 2019 with ST Andrews Uni. Next I started a PHD, first year completed, but on hold now. So what am I saying... good luck and do whats best for you. I'm sure you can get what you want. Well done. Andy
Thanks, I’m considering my PhD or perhaps an MFA. How did you find the first year of the PhD, if you don’t mind me asking? I’m really enjoying being back in a classroom - being surrounded by other writers alone has been just the kickstart I needed. Jo
@@JoanneMallory13 the first year was a bit of a grind for me as we covered academic research methods etc that we did in the masters. That I found tedious but I got through that. The second year was more interesting as we started design our research and data gathering, then reviewing the data and drawing some conclusions. I did all that but couldn’t completely the year as my respondents, police, were slow to agree with the research methods etc. therefore I couldn’t write the last submission for year two and had to put it on hold or it would have been a fail. Anyway, it’s good to learn 😊 Good luck 🤞
Thank you for your video. I’m getting ready to have surgery and needed to know this exact info.
I'm going through all this at the moment. MRI to see what surgery they recommend is in a few hours. Thankyou for being so honest.

My scar a6 go a few inches above my belly button down to the pubic bone so -- Through my c-section scar?
Thank you for sharing your story. I am currently waiting to have a mass removed and don’t know what exactly it is yet.
Wow! I’m hoping to do a master’s in a few years. I hope you love it.
I can see either a podcast of the future stories or a book. Good for youx
I’m doing it part time, alongside work. And so far I’m juggling everything okay. And I’m loving it, it’s really changing my writing. And I will get round to making a follow up vlog soon 🙈
Thank you for your honesty. Subscribed.x
I have been struggling with the same. For some reason I had all this time off and couldn’t write anymore when the pandemic started. I didn’t think it was a trauma because I didn’t feel upset about it. Just a deep apathy. Because I am still having difficulty with writing, I am blogging about magic and refer to certain scenes in my novel (I write witchy fantasy novels in Dutch) on my author’s website. My novel needs a redo and I just can’t bring myself to do it. But I am being patient with myself right now and hopefully there’s going to be an energy shift in me so I can feel as passionate as I felt before about writing fantasy ❤ Btw I read your trilogy and you are a great inspiration.
I remembered watching these videos back when you posted them originally, and so grateful now you did them as I'm having a complete hysterectomy in 5 days. Thanks Jo for this video and the others, so reassuring hearing your story. ❤️☆❤️
I'm glad that they've offered some comfort. Take care, and keep me posted on how you're going. I offer the same advice to everyone I talk to about this; listen to your body, and let yourself heal. Sending love xx
9 days for me - total hysterectomy plus they're removing a 7 inch abdominal mass that has pushed my uterus all the way to where 6 descending intestine is where my ovary would be between my hip and center line. It will be a vertical external incision . Open procedure. I would love great positive tips. I too prefer to leave the expert hysterectomy plus tumor removal surgery details to my wonderful surgeons! I'd just like to gather geat tips and hacks and prep guides to have a great safe easiest smoothest recovery!!!!
@@JoanneMallory13 how dd it go??? I have mine next Thursday!
Lovely to see a longer chatty video from you! I'm excited to see your upcoming videos, they sound fab! What a gorgeous little haul. Seeing you all get excited about autumn is bittersweet... I'm excited for you but sad that the heat is on its way here! Good job getting a backlog of videos happening! OMG the little autumn elves in the shop were *everything*. I'm hoping now that witchcraft and halloween are being more popular in the western world, that Australian stores will start stocking awesome bits and bobs too. 😁 See you again soon! xox
Hulloooo and Thanx. I'd like to see more in stores here too - it's only really TKMaxx and Homesense (same company) and that's because they're US owned. Despite autumn coming into the shops here, we're currently being battered by a countrywide heatwave, undoubtedly lower temperatures than Oz. But where we're not equipped to deal with it, it's just horrendous. It was still clocking 29C here at 2am this morning. And I am just 'unable to can' today o.O Take care J xxx
I have missed you!!!! So good to see that all is well:)
ah thank you xx
As the tuning fork entered the frame I was like "She's not going to ... phew, she didn't touch the delicate glass bowl with the hard metal to make a 'ping'". Technical question: 440Hz?
ohhh no, could you imagine. Eeep. -- Just a very careful cleanse. And yep, 440Hz.
Solstice blessings to you too dear! ☆🌞☆
You have the most beautiful voice
And I really like your face too 😍
I'm having a total abdominal hysterectomy in 3 weeks. Thank you for sharing your experience and all the helpful tips.
I'm so glad to have helped. Take care, and listen to your body while she heals xx
How did it go? Any tips? I'm going in next Thursday@
I'm having mine next month...updates???
