I'd like to ask again for a split screen showing the progression of mixing being done on the palette. Picking the base colors is a small part of the battle. I'm trying to understand how they're being mixed and layered to create the desired effect. I think this is the hardest part to understanding skin tone. I'd be interested in a live stream where you took one of the models and we could sit and work on it in real time!
Check out Phoenix Miniature Art, he’s a golden demon winner. He has a fundamentals playlist and he has the wet pallet on view the whole time. He also shows how he unloads a brush and tests if his layer is the right opacity before applying to the model. He’s done more for my painting in a few months than years of other content I’ve consumed.
Would love to see you paint some World Eaters. Maybe Angron or some bezerkers. Just came to 40k 2 months ago and started a Black Legion. The newest model Fulgrim would also be very cool. Thanks guys for teaching us these amazing techniques! Love the content
Great tutorial, as always, but if I could request a few additional tutorials: Could you show, how you prepare your paints in general? Like if you thin them usually, how you mix multiple colors on your wet-palette, how to load a proper amount in the brush etc.? And also, "brush care" would be a great tutorial! I have kolinsky sable brushes as well, but I can never replicate how you get your paints flowing so nicely (and for as long) from the brush into the model. Usually, I have to feeling that I need to "squeeze" the paint from the brush instead of the paint flowing off the brush by itself and if I "squeeze", I deform the brush making my paintjob less precise. Thanks in advance if you get to tutorials like that
that means you don't have enough moisture in the brush. If increasing the moisture makes your paint run all over, you're pressing too hard against the mini.
I really love your videos on this channel. Keep it up, I want to see a bazillion more tutorials covering every color like violett, teal, warm and cold white etc ❤
This was very nice and helpful. I need to look at real world references fairly often as I'm learning to master NMM and it's not as intimidating as people think if you approach in steps like everything else. You can achieve a great effect fairly quickly with the proper amount of planning up front. I know you guys know all this, I'm here to satiate the engagement gods.
The video just started in my mother tongue and at first I got confused and thought it‘s a joke. But then i realised RUclips can give you alternative audio tracks now haha

I agree with this, I'm an average painting but I do quite struggle layering paints so seeing this would be great
this
Great comment paint consistency and handling thinner paints is something else that gets lost in these videos

Same, would be super helpful!
these are by far my favorite videos you guys put out
This is the style of painting I want to learn. It has the most beautiful colors and contrasts. Thanks for sharing!
Needed this one!, thx.

We've got a video called you've been using your brushes all wrong on the main channel

Beautiful painting 👍👍

Great!
Hi squidly bits, would be nice if there's a tutorial on how to paint big wings :) thank you for the usual uploads
Lucassss !!!
Looking real nice. How Long did the painting process Take?
I wonder if you've got any opinion on the latest developments with Vallejo and their workers, considering you are partnered with them.
You mean that the strike is over and the workers and company has come to an agreement? I find it great
🥰
Fleshy, NMN rocks are the best rocks.
I ordered your paint set collections today from Harder & Steenbeck and got an email saying they aren't shipping until 0ctober 2025. Brutal
No it's about 2 weeks delivery right now :)
What is this mini please?
It's in our paint set, dark future :)
I say it again but it would be an awesome series concept and selling point to show every space marines chapters you can paint with your paint sets. ✌️
Yes! Plus the 8 traitor legions! (OK, they covered Alpha Legion already in the Ultramarines Video)😅
I painted my first miniature a few days ago on my RUclips channel
NMM is for art, not for gaming pieces.
Sounds like your either limiting yourself or lazy ;)
I love your channel and what you do, guys. But I've got to be honest, imo, this isn't your best work.
Shut up Steve
@squidlybits1985 Upset now. Very, very upset.
@@Steve-qe2yo good 😊👍
