- Today I want to help you answer the age-old question, which class should I main in Maplestory? This 2d mushroom game has over 45 classes but thankfully picking a main isn’t as difficult as picking a name for your character. That are some real struggles.

Your video was randomly recommended to me.. and I played maple back in 2007.. lol there’s more than 40+ classes now? I had to decide between mage, archer, rouge, and warrior back then.. I played during the time of tiger and sushi 😂 I’m happy to see that the game is still going strong. You know what I’m going to either try to log into my old acc or make a new one and see what’s going on with the game.

Good stuff, thanks, but just a suggestion - when switching between characters you are showing it would be extra helpful if you just had their names under the pic on left or somewhere, as going quite quick can sometimes mean a class change was missed and not instantly recognisable from pic :)
I didnt pick up adele with the intention of going to 200 but I just enjoyed the class so much it became my one and only class I've raised to 200+. the vertical jump is very easy unlike demon slayer and dawn warrior that require precise timing and while the class has mana, its low costing abilities coupled with insane mana regen for a warrior mean you never even have to look at your mana bar.
I agree with rantsan. I spent a lot on boxes, I knew that they were gender locked from looking at the drops. I’m glad Nexon is noticing and compensating but hair coupons are a weak compensation for boxes since they have nothing to do with boxes.

i was a mapler pre pirate. last time i played was when phantom came out and i hit 200 for the first time ever. love this game so many friends and memories.

I'm 31 and used to play this with my brother and mom when maple first came out. Just got my girlfriend to try mmos and she always wanted to try maplestory, so I just made Adele, and there's just no going back! lvl 75 in a few hours; what a fun class for my playstyle. What class(es) are you looking into trying?

For me, if I could train a class on a totem, and when the totem expires and I didn't even feel like I was training for 2 hours, then that's a good class to main.
So you pick character base on farming mob, it's a important part of the game to. I play dual blade, and it so painful to grind, i can only grind like 30 min on the totem so I totally understand what you are saying.

When i first started maple, i picked Ark as my first class. Didn't know anything about animation cancelling or comboing skills and thus had a terrible time. I stopped playing ark at lvl 118 and cycled through 6 other classes and almost 6 months before giving Ark another try and now its my main.

The only solution to that is that you play them and stick to the one you like the most. Every class can be strong nowadays anyway, the tiers are more for if you want to specialize in something

I love this game - great content bro
I saw Buccaneers 5th job and I was certain I wanted to main it. But then I accidentally invested my first stat points into DEX. I went with it and actually really liked Corsair which I now main.
Rather than pick a main, pick a primary stat like STR DEX INT or LUK. Make a dozen classes and use legion to buff the account as a whole. Want to be an archer? Play all of them and get tons of DEX for your future main!
Not really "tons" legion stat buffs don't scale with potential IIRC so you'll be super strong up to 5th where it doesn't matter and after that the bonus doesn't really help. Other card abilities are more relevant than +stat. That said mostly having a big board is good on its own, and if you're on non-reboot you can share equips so if you really just love archers then sure go for it.
If you're early game it might make enough of a difference to matter.
As a Kaiser main, i am not exactly in agreement with Kaiser relying on the dragon link to boost gauge gain, you already gain gauge relatively quick, and the dragon link is an ancient and clunky mechanic that does not live up to the expectations of everything else in the class. In a majority of the time though, you don't use the transformation because the hitbox can be a problem, or that you don't really needs to DPS boost, and Kaiser really picks up at 5th job, Draco surge, and Dragon Blaze provides a massive amount of dps, and for most of the threads of fate skills, can be reset using their hyper skill, Kaisers Majesty. You can also put together with the Grandis Blessing to spam skills such as Kuramas Claws up to 3 times, and even try again with Majesty.
Back when I started playing...there was a mage who did magic, a warrior who slashed shit, an archer that shot arrows, and a thief who either used knuckles or throwing stars lol. Damn these dev's on crack

But that's exactly what I love in Maple now. All these different classes with their different playstyles. After all the game is a grinding/mobbing game and if that is not fun and engaging, many people won't enjoy it.

Have tried a few out Angelic Buster is most fun imo. Glam girl OP orbs that around and murder stuff, easy bossing spam attack and two map clearing skills
acturely you should put aran to gauge class, since aran is need to manage its combo score, not combo its normal attack

Hi, I'm one of those who go back and forth to Maplestory over a decade and something that I didn't notice back when I was a teenager is that some classes become outright crap in term of DPS if you have crappy ping (like I do) and I decided to start out in a new server: Bera since ElNido or whatever it's called now is pretty much dead, so which class would be the best for bad ping.
Also, right now I have only like 4 characters in Bera, link skill mules, should I just play on Reboot instead? I never spent too much in the game so I'm technically F2P, I always enjoyed the merching side of the game but I honestly never managed to actually get enoguh funds for the endgame, heck, not even mid-game I guess, should I just move to Reboot since it is F2P and the most populated server?
Hello, I just got back to playing Maplestory a few days ago and I realized I just missed Zero and Beast Tamer...is there any word when they will be back? Never tried those classes but they look hella fun -__-
You should make a guide for level 200+
Especially right now with the burning event its really easy to get there,but also really easy to get lost afterwards

I thought Zero was hard to play until I noticed that I could just put the 'mirroring' skills on buttons above/below each other and press both the buttons at the same time (d+x, f+c, g+v).
This allowed me to dish out maximum combo damage as simple as using one sausage finger for every attack 😋
Why did Nexon decide to make this game a single player game basically years ago? No party quests, and you rarely ever see ANYONE on this game.
i think less people are playing than 10 years ago in general lol, but also you just might be in the wrong channel i see people all the time
With classes able to farm the whole screen, sure makes the player base more scattered haha
So far my favorite classes to play have been Lara, Luminous, Beast Tamer, and Angelic Buster. I've made an Adele and Zero so far and others for link skills, although I haven't leveled them much yet. It might be kind of crazy but I like using Lara as a main so far, but I might change my mind with the other 3. I don't think I'd main Adele or Zero, though
On top of bossing Night Lord also becomes one of the best mobbers in the game once the Assassins/Night Lords mark starts oneshot mobs, though it requires a lot of funding compared to other classes.

when you mention shadower class last as bossing character, i snickered a bit. this is only job that can kill zakum solo with meso explosion.
I'm doubting between Evan and windbreaker but the smartest thing would be Kanna to main. Since I'm starting over in the reboot server
I mained blaster once. I am confident that I mastered the high skill ceiling. But it was not a nice experience.
The only thing I could focus on was the background music of ludi pq . I miss the old MS 🥲
yoooo I haven’t played maplestory since like 2013 that’s crazy 😭 I remember when the mechanic was just coming out and all that bro the memories getting finessed because I thought I could duplicate and item by dropping it wow I was just a kid
I main Mercedes in reboot and now I am older I can finally understand how to play her. Compare to my old Mercedes in bera, I made when she came out and only ever got her to 70. Now I have a 232 Mercedes =).
As a kid I played my Mercedes as if it was a simple 1 key spam class. Jump and rain arrows over and over. Hadn't really touched it since and then I saw this video only to find out that it's a combo class lmao.
There is something I'd like to know, most people name their characters on something specific, you, for example, name everything on Copper and San, people whose first char name is X will have part of it on their names, some won't, it would be nice to know how people name their secondary chars, mines are... Diferent but they follow an order too.
I named my first link mules etc. after my main but once I started creating more and more characters I just started to use random name generators for fun and convenience.
I'm basic and all of my character IGNs are like [Class]Keiji

I'm an Ultimate Adventurer Bowmaster Main myself. Made it on April 6th, 2013
Unfortunately you cannot make them anymore. But overall as a bowmaster main, It's pretty comfy when you have the kit set up.
I wish I had a ultimate adventurer corsair.. the golden shark throwing skill was amazing lmao.
@@povpictures6529 Yeah the Blue Arrow Skill for the Archers was pretty neat. :)
You can still unlock the ultimate adventure skills, there is a quest at level 70 but it still super grindy questline. I use to have a ultimate adventurer Bowmaster in beta but now main a Merc in reboot.

Even with the skill quests being in game. It still makes me a bit sad that we can't make UAs still. They were a unique take on explorers overall. :)

So far, kinesis is.my favorite class, incredible fun and powerful, my only problem is that, lag hurt kinesis the must than other classes, aside from that, super fun, supernstrong, havent gear up enoght to take down bosses, but managr to at leas 25% damage to.... tha mage with the 2 baby dragons, beforengiving up and leaving

A piece of advice. If you are starting in reboot, start with a kanna farmer. It will pay off big time.

- Blaster
- Cadena
- Wind Archer

Blaster and Cadena will technically win in terms of damage, with Blaster having better survivalbility with constant %hp attack reduction, a shield and 3 s. But they are very hard to master.
Wind Archer is simpler, has a puppet and a shield to laugh at boss mechanics. They do suffer from lower damage, but it is easier to play than the above.
Phantom excels in a party setting, but not so much in solo bossing. However, like Wind Archer, they can survive very well with multiple i-frames, which I think it is important. Can't deal damage if you are dead.
So in conclusion, play them and see which you like!
The main it's not a problem, the problem it's to choose my main server:( either reboot or normal
Choose normal if you are starting out. People like to say that reboot is better for new players, but I find that progression in reboot is not self explanatory. So while the reboot passive buff of extra exp and loads of mesos makes it easy to buy reboot shop cubes for meso, you have no auction house. So if you hit 150 and see that you need a little more damage to train fast, instead of going to the auction to buy some cheap cra gear, in reboot guess what, time for you to solo cra and farm for your gear. I personally started in normal, and learned how to progress through each stage of the game, while being assisted by cheap auction gear. Then when I felt I wanted a more solo experience I headed to reboot, and I play both servers regularly, if not tryhardingly. TLDR: The auction house is really helpful for new players.
if u have money, start normal, if u can find a guild where ppl can carry u, choose reboot

Played MS waaaaaaaaaaaaay back before the pirate class was first added. Looking at the game now? No thank you! Can't even see the screen half the time. More lens flairs and explosions doesn't make it better. This is MapleStory directed by Michael Bay.

Do we still need that thief class for the early game dungeon? I always wondered if they reworked that as more classes got added.
For context: There used to be a dungeon that REQUIRED a specific thief class to complete. They turned invulnerable and ran thru a spike puzzle to hit a switch. I just got back into the game for the first time. Last time I played, Evan was still new

Me too I quit about 8 years ago but I started playing again last month and having fun exploring all the new things :) I started with one of the hardest classes to play unfunded haha but the way the game works now you basically want to get a bunch of characters up for their link skills that can boost other chars on your account so don't think about it too much, just start playing a couple that appeal to you for a while and then work out what you like as you go :)

@@amandac.1073 Regarding the link skills, let's say i have a hoyoun does my next character has to be related to have it or what im sorry im new to the game, used to play back in 07 when it was only thief, magician or warrior to worry about :d
@@samerkamal3328 doesn't need to be related! Each character has a skill that can be shared to another character on the same account in same world. So you can choose to make the characters that give link skills that will help boost you eg extra damage or extra exp gain, when you log onto a character you go to the skill window and then add the other chars link skills to activate it. If you're returning I recommend checking out scardor progression videos! tons of info that really helped me 😊

its not about the classes ... its about the amount of time you have to spend to get dmg to do bosses ._.
when i did mount quests i would have done that for weeks to get a mount ...but not for dmg thats uncapped and rising every time more and more
