New AB kinda juicing ngl, my main prior to revamp was an AB, and despite FD nerfs and losing event stats I feel just as strong, maybe just a little weaker.

Hey! Totally new to maple here! Just wanted to say i think the toughest thing for new members is how much lore is thrown at you in the beginning! And the class screen could use adjustments! Being able to see how these classes operate when picking one is a huge deal.
The game encourages you to make a lot of the classes, and level them all up, but have a Main that you focus on more than the rest, I agree that some more visuals of the classes in creation would be a useful improvement though

Man, this game always looks so fun, then I remember cubing and star forcing 😅
It's not so bad, starforce definitely feels more scummy but offers good gains.
It's actually really fun if you're a gambling addict, which you will be after enough cubing and starforcing.
that's not much of the problem. it's the progression walls you hit like doing prequests on all your boss mule links. aside from leveling links to 110 or 120 of link skills themselves. i forget. and the time consumption can feel very underwhelming if you aren't genuinely playing the game for what it is at face value. most people want to see their progression pay off, or see new content/areas without having to prepare with 4-6 hour grind sessions 5 days a week for new content. but hey, i think it's just the idea of min-maxing that can get to your head... with that being said, playing the game light heartedly can most definitely feel very rewarding for adventurers out there! (just not for me lol.) -- mapler for 12+ years off and on. finally gave the game up 2 years ago for good...or did I? :)
I decided to mess around in this game again on a whim, this video was extremely helpful for me as I have not played since the early 2000's era of the game so all of the new systems were overwhelming. Followed along with you for the most part, the latter bit with gearing up I was not able to do of course because I am poor, but the bit on dailies and stuff was very helpful.

I spent 10minutes trying to figure out the speigelmann necklace quirk. If you leave the area, the necklace disappears and spiegelmann says something funny lol
FYI, if you use the Interdimensional Portal in the Pantheon Great Temple, you can teleport to Deserted Camp (4th page) and skip the cutscene. Useful for new players or mules that can't afford a tele rock.

This is the burning event I always wanted tbh. Something super quick. Happy I finally got buccaneer. My only wish is that it gave you a bunch or low level accessories and stuff so I didn't have to go redo level 30-100 content because my rng sucks on bosses.

I have a lvl 250 shade, would I receive all the gifts with it too?
I'm trying to find out if BattleMages are going to get a revamp where there is no longer an emphasis on tele-casting to get maximum damage output. Is there indeed a change or is there going to be a change/update? I read somewhere with people claiming its going to be updated but can't find exactly what is the update. If there is indeed such an update, do share where I can read more about this. If telecasting is no longer a requirement I might return to my battle mage which I had abandoned years ago as I didn't like the tele-casting aspect of the gameplay.
I forgot which update exactly, but yes telecasting is essentially removed. Teleport still applies the dark shock debuff, and it is still a sizeable part of your damage. The difference is that the debuff has X number of hits before it expires (Forgot exact amount of hits). So essentially they changed it from 1 hit to X hits.
note, you still get damage from teleporting, but the dps gain from it is entirely negligible compared to before
@@lmpoknya That is great to hear. I'll try to find the changes to understand better, but from what I'm understanding, the Dark Shock/Teleport damage has been reduced significantly, making it negligible to waste time and energy telecasting, is this correct?
@@Emptrix you still have to apply it every 15 hits (thats how long the debuff lasts for) outside of your burst. Your altars apply the debuff as well, so during your burst you don't have to worry about it unless the boss moves out of your altars. If you don't want to, you can technically spread your altar timing out so that you have full uptime on them, sacrificing a bit of damage during your burst since you wont be able to put up all 4 outside of your initial burst
@@Emptrix but otherwise, if the debuff is already applied, you don't gain much from reapplying. more often than not as well, I find that I naturally reapply it when im teleporting around trying to dodge attacks anyways
@@lmpoknya I see! So basically you teleport for the sole purpose of dodging now instead of getting damage output? If so then it has returned to when BaMs were similar to Arans, doing Finishing Blow + The Finisher (The Saw Tooth Wheel Attack skill that can only be casted after Finishing Blow). Back than I did only telecast inbetween finishing blow and the finisher only when I had extra finger energy to get slight additional damage from teleport. It still seems as though with Darkshock integrated with teleport now, it will do more damage than it was just a teleport attack without darkshock in the past, but I guess that damage dealt with Darkshock is more for mobbing than bossing.

Your 200 burning is stronger than my 222 main... is this the power of Legion?
A lot of it is, yes. Highly recommend 4K legion as a start, then work to 6k. That’s an end goal for a lot of people. Some say go to 8k. As someone who has 8700 legion, it makes you much stronger because of some stats that aren’t easily gained such as Boss damage/IED or the big boy that is Crit damage.

for some reason my hyper burning stopped giving me triple levels at level 150 now im gaining levels normally despite the burning being till 260
what color is the burning effect behind your character on the character select screen ? it should be a golden fire with lightning effects.

You also get 2 mega burns for the event. Your Hyperburn is selected in the characterscreen with new characters and lvl 200 characters.

Not using the Enhance All option on the V Matrix to make upgrading nodes easier
