@@sdexstarlord Yes, Lumpsum is your One Time Investment, whereas SIP is a fixed installment that gets deducted as per the set frequency(mostly it is monthly but can be Daily/Weekly/Quarterly) available as per the AMCs.

@@sayantanidutta2174 investment of a wholesome amount is called Lumpsum. In this shorts he meant, SIP of 5000 per month, versus 5000×12= 60,000 lumpsum all at once.
In SIP you will gain compound on capital that is collected each month, whereas, in Lumpsum you will earn the interest based on 60,000 from scratch and it grows from there from day one itself.

I am investing 10,000 per month in Aditya Birla PSU fund and 10,000 per month in quant small cap and 10,000 in quant mid cap And 5,000 in icici nifty 50 and 5,000 in parag Parikh FlexiCap and 1 lacks in smallcase (safe haven) and i have invested 2 lakhs in sbi Arbitrage Opportunities fund.

I have a small question I am investing in two SIP both are ELSS fund so it is good to be in 3 years of lockin period?
SIP in ELSS is not good because of locking period, also remember your individual monthly SIP has 3 year locking period which means when you stop your SIP the last installment can be withdrawn 3 years after that which is a big drawback.
Btw I am doing lumpsum in ELSS scheme for tax saving but not SIP.

Hello my age is 19 and investing from my 16 now I earn 2.5 lakh monthly from different rental income. I want you to calculate my earning at the end of my 60, 50, 40, 30 if I expect a growth of 25% yearly and at the end of every decade I withdrawal 40% of earning and invested like this at my 30 to 40 I am investing 5 lakh monthly at my 40 t0 50 I am investing 8.5 lakh monthly and similarly at my 50 to 60 I am investing 15 lakh monthly. So what I have at the end and also calculate it's present value.
Savings is good thing if you get 30% return yoy because 7 % inflation 10% tax considered.

Calculation is totally wrong, market not always give 12% returns, it can give -20% in the first year and +40% in the second year.... So average of 10-15 years can be calculated as 12%, calulating straight 12% will be totally wrong calculation.... SIP always does the right job....

depends on day of investing. Month ke 1st day ko 3000 invest karoge toh it is better than investing 100 rupees on all 30 days. However, investing 100 rupees everyday is better than investing 3000 on 30th of every month
