  • @raider3167
    @raider3167 2 месяца назад +6

    Red, Blue, and Purple are all valid colors used for Sith Lightning in other Star Wars mediums, usually in an Old Republic setting. If I remember right, it’s specifically used in SWTOR and some of the comics, and it’s basically the tier system of Sith Lightning, with blue at the bottom and red on the top.

    • @KateriYT
      @KateriYT  2 месяца назад +2

      @@raider3167 didn't know about Blue, wasn't a big SWTOR guy. Purple is pretty common for ith throughout all eras

      @@KateriYT Blue’s pretty much the bog standard for either Dark Jedi or Sith Apprentices. It’s essentially normal electricity.
      Getting into the nitty gritty of the lore, Sith Lightning comes in two flavors: it’s either a Sith’s hatred made manifest(not to be confused with the Sith Sorcery Spell known as the Hate Bolt, which is an entirely different thing and works more like a Fireball spell made of hate) or it’s the Sith literally making electricity(similar to Jedi Pyromancy). That’s also why the color changes; the more potent the hatred, the more Dark Side is in the Lightning, the more red it gets, the stronger it becomes. Unless you’re Plo fucking Koon and you figure out how to do it as a Jedi and it’s white or golden(the Jedi use it under the name of Electric Judgement, and it functions off of something entirely different).
      Ironically, in the days of the Old Republic, Sith Lightning was a sign that you’re new to the Sith Sorcery thing, but by the Clone Wars, so much has been forgotten by the Order of Bane that it’s one of their top powers(because Sidious wasn’t the first to stab his master in their sleep before learning everything they knew).

    I remember making a fan-continuation for ROTJ where Leia as a Jedi now to confront both Luke and Starkiller and ultimately Starkiller and Luke are redeemed with Starkiller once again mirroring the Original Trilogy dies with Palpatine.
    I LOVE the Tatooine and Hoth levels for how it's both familiar but at the same time puts a new spin on the Original Trilogy. I just hate we never got to see a mission that concluded this timeline.

      Funny, I did something similar, except Palpatine is killed by Starkiller and Luke, and then Luke is redeemed by Leia, defeats Starkiller, and takes the Vader sacrifice path

    I typically play goody two shoes characters when i play games. Witcher, Baldurs Gate, Mass Effect. The Force Unleashed DLC was one of the few times i actually enjoyed being the bad guy. The other game being Overlord 2. It just feels so epic to be a sith lord in that game. And the drip is epic. Lord Starkiller's hoth suit is just perfection. It was the first cosplay i ever dreamed of having and watching this video has rekindled that dream. Now i gotta have a Lord Starkiller cosplay.

    Jedi Temple: 8/10
    The ruined aesthetic of the jedi temple looked way more visually pleasing than in those bland, bulls**t corridors in the prequels, there was a variety of enemies and the boss was cool even tho i'm a bit confused on where it takes place storywise, yet i still appreciate how this 1 mission told me about the physical & psych trials a jedi must face more than the prequels ever dreamed of
    Tatooine: 9.5/10
    Lord Starkiller's messy outfit that resembles a tusken not only looks intimidating but also highlights how far his humanity is gone. I loved all the callbacks / deviations from a new hope (ex. tantive iv, killing the jawas who presumably sold 3PO & R2, obi-wan becoming more powerful than 'you can possibly imagine'). also love the scum & villainy of star wars which is why solo & the mandalorian work for me, from breaking out the base with help of wookiees & rodians, to even destroying boba fett. and how can i not mention proxy!!
    Hoth: 9.5/10
    This is the armor i associate with Lord Starkiller the most... just like Vader's & Kylo's design.. so simple yet so sinister. The samuria-esque helmet, the claws, the lightsaber's of Maul, Vader, Paratus, Shaak Ti, Kota all enhance his ruthlessness and hint at his slight acknowledgement of his former self, although it could be a coping mechanism if anything. Again the callback / deviations really help immerse you (ex. "you have failed me for the last time", the warning sign on the door with the wampas from that deleted scene, the 501st, the command center). also love how the quantity of enemies builds up, like at first it's just wampas, then as you approach the base there's some defences here, and after round 1 vs luke, the number of wampas, rebel troopers and snowtroopers increases, before eventually reaching the really wide hangar in contrast to the narrow corridors. this rlly makes this battle feel huge in scale, as well as super chaotic. round 2 & 3 against luke showed off lord starkiller's awesomeness, and luke's potential in the dark side. man a conclusion to the Dark Side Force Unleashed Trilogy would've cooked!!!
