In this video, I’m sharing my art goals and creative plans for 2025. I’ll touch on staying motivated and finding inspiration for drawing, crafting, and sketchbook projects. I’ll also be diving into my current art projects (knitting a sweater, sewing a quilt, painting fabric to make into a tote bag, developing my own artistic style) and reflecting on what I want to achieve over the next year in my creative journey. Whether you’re into sketching, crafting, or just looking for some motivation to fuel your own art-making, this video will give you some ideas.
I’ll also be getting a bit more personal in this video by giving some thoughts on my own drawing process. As an artist, I often experience bursts of creativity in my sketchbook, but I’ve also struggled with art block. One technique that has helped me overcome this is collage sketchbooking. I started cutting and pasting photos from museums into my sketchbook, which not only filled up pages quickly but also took away the pressure of figuring out what to draw. This method has been an effective way to stay creative without stressing over what to sketch next.
Another tip I want to share is how my new Himi Gouache set has transformed my painting process. I’ve always disliked the task of preparing my palette before painting, but with this set, I don’t have to squeeze paint out of the tubes. It’s made my art process smoother, allowing me to jump straight into painting with less setup time. If you’re looking for tools to make your creative process more efficient, this is a game-changer!
One of my biggest suggestions for making more art is keeping a list of art ideas and projects I want to work on. This has been a lifesaver for me, especially with all the different art forms I’m exploring right now. By having my ideas written down, I never have to worry about not knowing what to do next. It’s helped me stay organized, motivated, and ready to dive into my next creative project. If you’re someone who juggles multiple art projects, I highly recommend keeping a list - it’s been a huge help in staying productive and focused.
you're my new favourite art youtuber! your art style is so refreshing and different from all the instagram artists i see all over the place now. keep being you(:
ahhhh that's so nice, thank you!!!
I love how you use your sketchbook as a place to collect things that inspire you and that you use them as reference! I definitely want to do more of that next year!
thank you Maya!! I definitely want to keep doing that!
really enjoyed seeing your work and loved hearing your thoughts about drawing/your artistic practice. looking forward to watching more videos by you 😊

Hadley you’re doing great and I’m so excited to watch you grow in your creative journey ❤ It’s great that you have an endless list of ideas, you’re leading a full busy life and inspiring others to do the same, myself included! I’ve been wanting to get back into sketchbooking ever since I started watching your channel and it’s at the top of my New Year’s resolutions!
that made me so happy, thank you! I'm so excited you want to start sketchbooking again!!
I'm new to your channel and it is such a breath of fresh air! It's so unique and quirky (in a good way) sprinkled with nostalgia and fun...🥰
yayyy omg thank you!! that's so nice omg
I just found your channel and I absolutely love your art style! I am also an artist and I totally agree with you about a creative outlet outside of your primary medium. I have also been sewing and knitting as a hobby outside of the embroidery I do. Love your videos, keep up the amazing content!
thank you so much for watching! that's super cool that you're focused on fiber arts but switch it up between sewing, knitting, and embroidery! embroidery is something I'd love to learn, so I'm excited to watch your videos heheh

Love ur vids❤!! Right now I’m working on a bunch of new pieces for my portfolio! But in the new year I want to become more comfortable sketching in my sketchbook too :)
ooooh updating your portfolio is always so rewarding, thank you for watching!
Omg I’m the same way Hadley, inre to having so many things I want to create, that I don’t do any!! Yes, bad habit and I need to tackle the list. 😊
it's a good problem to have, and the list definitely helps!
New subscriber!! I've been loving your videos
thank you so much!! I'm excited for you to be experimenting with watercolor and using a sketchbook! I personally have a hard time sticking to challenges, but I think if you find one that works for you it can be great. one time I drew a self portrait everyday for a month in my sketchbook. but you could do that with any subject, I just think drawing the same thing over and over is good for pushing your creativity. and then there's also peachtober and inktober, even though they're meant for october you can use those prompts any time of year!
New subie🎉
yay! thank you!!
