Kissin was born in October 1971. So if this concert took place in summer 1984 he was still 12 and not thirteen. Did you watch his fingers? He presses the keys very often at their "heads" (where they end in the concert grand). That is much harder than pressing them on their "feet", so to speak, at the edge of the piano. He has a very special finger-technique.

yeah he was indeed only 12. He looks exactly the same as during the time when he recorded Chopin s two piano concertos
