I would love to see mors pathfinder and starfinder videos in your style! Honestly you explaine things well as well as make things easier to understand!
Came here from Bad Luck Gamer and I am glad I did. Subscribing for more pathfinder lore content as I usually focus on mechanics but I know that the lore for Pathfinder is very good. Tian Xia is one of my favorite settings.
Glad to hear! I'm much more of a lore guy than a mechanics guy so rest assured I won't be treading that same ground. I'm significantly more interested in building compelling characters to play over a stat sheet lol.
Glad to hear that they did a seemingly good job at expending Tian Xia further as I always really dug it also in the first edition. There was something really awesome in that instead of just creating this one place that was clearly meant to be Imperial China or Japan, it was instead this collection of various places inspired by different cultures and facets. I also felt they did a lot better job with it than with the Mwangi Expanse, although now I am intrigued how they are retooling that region with the second edition. Man, I really need to start reading the second edition material.
As a side comment since in the previous Pathfinder video I commented on the chunkiness of the world, I went and read a summary of the changes in the world for the second edition and I must admit it is a much more compelling sound of a world now. Actually to the point that I now feel it does come across as coherent and having an identity in that it is almost a world rediscovering itself, with a bunch of places with new governments or having finally freed themselves of the grip of horrible things and now having to decide who they are. It also made me realize how odd the criticisms about the first edition Golarion are to someone only familiar with the second as Paizo has done a really good job addressing the major sense of disconnectedness there.
It was something the design lead mentioned in our interview, but the effort to represent the worlds biggest continent means you have a lot to go off of. Which I left out some other dope stuff I could have mentioned. Like some obvious Mongolian or Himalayan inspiration. (At least I hope. I'm less familiar lol). I do love it when I decide to arbitrarily limit myself for time and then the decision of what to cover is just incredibly difficult. And yeah, Paizo's work towards the 2e change has always been very targeted adjustments. They hear and know the issues then they work to address it. Which I like a lot. I know for a fact they listen but also a lot of them are just Pathfinder fans wanting to make this game as good as possible. I am glad to hear it expanded it in a direction you enjoy too!
Somebody at Paizo has made it their personal mission to give us every possible tool to play as Sun Wukong too lol. From what I have seen of Exemplar in the new book? Its pretty explicit with some of these feats lol. I'm a fan.
@@glueboy Ooooo! I hadn't heard of an Exemplar until now. Thanks for sharing! It does look cool as a mechanism to create a demigod of any flavor. As for me, I plan to explore Vanara characters of various classes who are 'followers' of Sun Wukong. There's a ripe opportunity for story development in the Divine Gardens of Vudra where the two continents meet through trade with Tian Xia. Anyhoo... down the rabbit hole of obsession I go!
@kevinoneal2728 Vanara are dope! But if you wanna take that power level increase with Exemplar... 2 previews I'll give are a clas feature called "peerless over heaven" and a feat that lets you do his shrink pole into your ear thing. And also extend it really large for a big attack.
No shade for any P2e content creators out there, I don't watch any though lol. Except for Badluckgamer. He's an exception cause he's a close personal friend lol. Same with the rest of the subjects I cover on my channel. I read to much 40k, or play too much Pathfinder to then watch it on YT later.

I do plan on making more down the line! I have an idea for where to start and tbh once Divine Mysteries drops I'm absolutely set for it.

Im upset you didnt bust into dance when you said you'd break it down 😢
I'm glad I give off the energy that I have the confidence to do that in the first place lmao.

Cool background haha. Looks like somewhere to become a hermit to study the arcane arts.
Damn: I was hoping Hongal would get some love 🤷♂That said: killer video 🤘
Hongal does rule! It was a hard pick to choose which places would be covered lol
@@glueboy time constraimts: what a bummer, eh?
I have to agree about Sun Wukong. Playing a Cleric Warpriest of Sun Wukong as a Vanara has been fun.

2:35 - "Celestials aren't always good" - Yes, this tracks with most J-RPG's, which heavily feature stories of killing God.
And the ones that seem like they aren't actually are in the end. The *real* final boss is always god.
Subscribing for more pathfinder lore content 😊
