What an awesome video and beautiful shark! I've been looking forward to this one and it definitely delivered. Looking forward to the next video as always!
I’ve caught one the same size in California fishing for threshers. The shark swallowed our bait, our leader and our float. Ended up being able to retrieve everything out of its mouth. Love these Animals.
Very nice bycatch. I love the dialogue you posted at the end of the video. Hopefully people will read and get a better understanding that it's is humans that invade animal's territory.
Good team work...nice bit of kit...Nice by catch... Are the rings a bit small causing those line obstructions? A juvenile great white is an awesome catch. Reckon a thresher and mako will give better sport though Again to declare A fish from the shore is worth many many from a boat...
@tadhghayden7601 I honestly think the line getting caught was due more to my inexperience with such heavy shark tackle. And I 100% agree, land based fishing is remarkably harder than fishing from a boat
The reel was set up for a different trip and had a MASSIVE connection knot from the Braid to 600lb monofilament leader from that trip. was getting hung in the guides.
I think the term apex of fishing is subjective. Huge respect to the land-based shark fishing guys but I personally gotta give it to the land-based marlin guys from Australia. Seasons without a bite, days in the elements, competing against predators and anglers on boats. Again, huge respect to anyone who pushes the limits of the game
im new here but have ya ever thought about using a drone to take bait out to the water?😂 i seen people do it so and plus those waves were crazy and bro went on a kayak😂😂
One time chumming for makos we had a 20 footer come into the slick off long island. It was awesome. we reel in our bait so we did not mistaken catch it. We didnt get to catch anything that day but we got something more.
