- Ride with me on the GoTrax Dolphin budget step thru e-bike to see if its worth its price tag of $599.99. We will test its range, disc brakes, pedal assist, hills, grass, and gravel, and we will try to figure out how to enable the boost mode. Check out my full review and road test to see if the GoTrax Dolphin budget step thru e-bike with its 350-watt motor and 30 miles of range is worth your $599.99!
The GoTrax Dolphin is a step thru cruiser e-bike with a 350-watt rear hub motor, front and rear disc brakes, front suspension, a range of up to 30 miles on a charge, and a top speed of 20mph. GoTrax says they gave us a boost mode which increases the speed by 3.7mph but you will have to watch to see if it works. I really love the handlebars on the Gotrax Dolphin cruiser e-bike. With their swept back look and feel, they are much more comfortable than the traditional straight handlebars found on other e-bikes.
The GoTrax Dolphin cruiser e-bike has a removable battery, which is a feature typically found on a more expensive e-bike. GoTrax gives us two keys, which unlock the battery. With a turn of the key and a push of a button, you can easily remove your battery and charge it inside.
The step thru feature is also very nice. It makes it easy for people of different heights and physical abilities to step over the pedal area and ride this e-bike. And with its adjustable seat, pretty much anyone, big or small, young or old, can ride the GoTrax Dolphin budget step thru e-bike.
Watch my full review and road test of the GoTrax Dolphin budget step thru e-bike and see for yourself if this cruiser e-bike is worth your $599.00!

Awesome review, you’ve convinced me to get one! However, another commenter mentioned about issues on getting a replacement battery. I can’t seem to find one on the website, so this worries me.
Yeah I understand. I got with the manufacturer and they took care of him right away. They should be in stock soon.
I just bought one; it arrives in a couple weeks. I've been saving for a car since January to no avail. I have a regular bike atm, I'm looking forward to the improvement of quality of life when I start riding! It looks like a fun bike to ride (and looks similar to a normal bike, which is what I wanted) also I wont be so exhausted getting to work 🤣 only 4mi there and back 8mi total, but I ride up a bridge and a steep hill on a golf course that always kicks my butt. I push myself to the limit every day and have never once stopped (not letting myself get stuck halfway up a dang hill) but its extremely exhausting. But the hills really helped me get in shape and find an efficient breathing pattern. Since JANUARY, I havent been on a bike in close to 10 years. IM REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS BIKE!!
I'm so happy for you! It looks like you should have enough range with the trip that you listed, so you're good. It's really a lot of fun.
it would be interesting to see how this one compares to the Hyper 26"
Yes, looks like they are very similar bikes. I really like it and now my wife has taken ownership of it . Lol. She says, it's so comfortable because of the handlebars.. lol
It really sucks that i can't get a replacement battery for this bike. Support couldn't even help me. Shame because it's an awesome bike.
Why? What's the problem?
@@HobartsReviews Apparently they're all sold out, but I think that's bs. I've waited for months and still nothing. I don't think they sell replacement batteries in my honest opinion. I was about to buy another Dolphin bike just for the extra battery but decided to wait. I'll probably buy another brand bike eventually. But I really do like this bike so far.
Let me reach out to my contact and see if that's true. I'll do my best to help. They should respond tomorrow night when it's their Monday.
@@HobartsReviews Thank you. However I've contacted them many times already and I doubt anything has changed. The last correspondence was last week. The link they sent me still says sold out. I'm not looking for an extra battery for the Dolphin anymore as I'm certain I'll be trying other brands. Thank you again 🙂
Hey I found you a battery from my person at the factory! Got 2 options. You still interested? Email me at hobart@hobartsreviews.com
Hi. Sorry I've not got much to say about the ebike, but wow, what a beautiful, privileged environment to live in. Stunning properties everywhere, impeccably-maintained infrasructure, luscious greens, so much space and so few people out and about. You are truly blessed, huh? Such a marked difference between the standard of living in some areas of the US and the rest of the world. Is this in Florida, maybe, and I imagine even over there this would be considered a relatively affluent neighborhood, or not?
Yes I am very blessed to live where I live. I'm in Southeast Florida so it's very beautiful here. There is lots of very wealthy people but unfortunately I'm not one of them LOL. I'm working towards that though and someday maybe I can afford a nice house with a manicured lawn. This neighborhood is near my house so that's why I ride here a lot. Thanks so much for your comment my friend. I really do appreciate it!
"boost" mode is actually a Walk mode to help if you're pushing the bike for some reason
No it says in the manual that it's to give you a boost of 3.7mph. so I followed the instructions and all I got was cruise control. I like the feature but I didn't get a boost of 3.7mph. just going by the manual
@@HobartsReviews try from a dead stop, no throttle, no pedaling, it will start the bike moving at the 3.7 mph or so
Yeah it's for when you have heavy stuff on it and need a "boost." At least that's what it says in my manual. I've pushed with heavy cases of water on it and the boost feature helped.
