Thanks for the video. It's always great to have side by side comparisons of products.

Good effort. £25 seems like quite a lot to me for a marginally brighter glow. Having said that, I’ve never had a problem with night driving brightness of lights. Thanks for posting.

I guess I’ve still got £2,800 ringing in my ears from the A/C fix so £25 seems like a bargain 😂

The phone will automatically adjust its settings in an effort to produce a similar level of brightness. It most likely masked the differences between the lights to an extent, and would explain why the sky on the left looks lighter. Better way to do this would be to use a DSLR or any camera that allows you to manually adjust and lock aperture, exposure, shutter speed and ISO and lock them.

Good suggestion, I don’t have a DSLR but I do have a mirrorless camera I could have done this with, would have been more accurate.

Thanks. Good comparison. I’m curious what the “before” lighting would have shown (the factory bulbs) with your car at the same corner.

These were actually on the same corner and then the same stretch of (straighter) road, it’s just that they were about 3 days apart. It was quite hard to find somewhere near London that is pitch black so I used the same spot.

@@BritishRacingGreens Sorry. I wasn’t more clear. Did you ever take a picture of the corner with your factory lighting before the install of your two LED’s? That was the “before” I meant prior to your LED install and comparison I was asking about. To get a true difference between factory lighting and the LED lighting.

Now even if it’s not legal I’m different countries. I would still upgrade to led bulbs to see better and be seeing better.
Realize that modern vehicles equipped with led on projector or reflector, and in low beams they produce between 30W-34W
    And high beams between 40W-44.5W.
I would not be safe with halogens at all.
It’s not bright enough and not safe enough.
I definitely recommend Lasfit - LC plus - 25W per bulb 2500 lumens per bulb.
Lasfit - LA plus - 30W per bulb, 3000 lumens per bulb.
    Auxito - M3 - 25W per bulb 2500 lumens per bulb.
    Or Auxito - Y13 - 40W per bulb, 4000 lumens per bulb.
If u see something that’s 10,000,15,000,20,000 lumens. It’s a completely lie. Never believe those insane high numbers.

Thanks for the detailed reply. What I want to avoid is failing the MOT and having to swap back each year - might not happen, but not worth the risk for the amount I drive at night.

@@BritishRacingGreens but even if it’s not DOT/MOT approval. It’s better to have them to be safer, brighter, better, and more confidence on the road at night without blinding others.
      I would.
